 While we are waiting for the full vacancy of Billboard's Top 10 by Taylor Swift which will break Drake's record with 9 songs let's move on to a song that should but won't be a huge hit although it should.Although we are living in the Tik Tok days and anything could happen Lady Blackbird's "Feel It Coming" is a bliss in the world of new releases.Taken from the expanded new version of her album "Black Acid Soul" the Edinburgh singer with the massive distinguish voice is on my repeat mode straight out of my playlist.Let's just stop the only critical acclaimed artists and let's start listening to voices like Lady Blackbird and songs like "Feel It Coming". This is the third time i post about JVKE's (pronounced Jake) "Golden Hour".The reason is a new remix to the song by Jungle but the deepest reason is that i totally respect a young lad with passion for music and who without any help managed to achieve the popularity he has so far and still growing.Not only "Golden Hour" is a great song on it's own but it managed to make people around the world love it.It's chart position may be somewhere around the top 40 depending on what you are looking at but as i said this song is a grower.If there is a future in JVKE''s music is something i don't know but only wish for him.

 This is a song by Aussie Dean Lewis coming from his forthcoming album "The Hardest Love"."How Do I Say Goodbye" is a beautiful ballad that is bubbling in the Uk Top 40.Don't get me wrong but ballads like this one previously became massive hits and all it needs is that viral thing that only the social media can.And since the connection with "How Do I Say Goodbye" is made there is no turning back.This is a pop remix slightly upbeat by Chuksie in case the ballad thing makes you dislike it.In any case the song has great potential...

 She might be very talented and a great songstress but in the end the main criteria for any artist is do i wanna hear this song again next year?This is a song that SZA was hyping she was going to release it for a long time and finally we are in the position to have an opinion about "Shirt".This is soul music with modern hip hop beats that it might find audience in the USA but difficult anywhere else.It creates a nice atmosphere but since there are many other things to hear out there i don't really see the point to repeat "Shirt" again after a week or so.Sorry SZA waiting for something more from you..

 If all seven members of BTS are on a personal music career then there are a lot more coming next year so brace yourselves.Personal i m not a fan of BTS but i will try to be as neutral as i can be hearing Jin's brand new single.The song is written by Coldplay and you can even hear Chris Martin on backing vocals.This pop rock sound is a totally different thing for a member of BTS."The Astronaut" with the huge fan base supporting every aspect of this release will make it a global hit instantly.I can't say that i don't like the sound and maybe it will be proved a slow burner but for now i don't have something negative to say.It's so Coldplay the whole thing that it will work anyway...

 Nathan Dawe is heading fast for his third top 10 in the Uk proving that he knows how to make a dance banger made for radios and clubs.His brand new single has received a very good start the first hours of it's release.It has Talia Mar on vocals who seems to be rising fast in the scene after Sigala's collab with "Stay The Night".But there is always a but coming from a "2 step" club anthem.I think this is a domestic chart hit for both of them cause i don't hear a glimpse of an international hit here.I m recording the potential it has in the Uk but unless you re a fan of this sound don't mind for a global success...

 There you have it.After 6 years of absence Rihanna's first out of two new songs based on "Wakanda Forever" is here.The song is inspired by the life of Chadwick Boseman the late actor it was written by Tems and you can hear all over it an Oscar nominee just as soon as they will be announced.The rather emotional "Lift Me Up" is a long awaited comeback from Riri who will make her presence rather intense in 2023.Did the world got a better place by the release of this song?I think that "Lift Me Up" has a rather depth in time label than a big hit although everyone is going to stream buy view the next weeks.I want to hear also the second song she recorded for the new Black Panther movie so i can have a beter opinion of who will make it better to the charts.

LA ROUX & BABY TATE - FEEDBACK

 Back in 2008 when i started blogging music La Roux was my very first post with "In For The Kill".Started as a duo their electronic sound brought back memories of the 80's and the duo was so promising.Then something happened on the way and the name La Roux was nearly disappeared from the music map with Elly Jackson keeping the name after the split. Recently Tion Wayne's "IFTK" sampling "In For The Kill" with the support of La Roux brought back to life the name and the brand.It seems that Elly liked this rap soul interpretation of her music so her brand new single "Feedback" explores the electronic soul rap of today.I think i really like this single with Baby Tate serving the rap part.It has a lot of potential...

 Sam Fender especially after the release of "Seventeen Going Under" has become not only in the Uk but around the world a global mucisian well respected with high potentials.And since holidays are coming the release of a live deluxe version of his latest album plus the B-sides of his singles and with two new songs for some may be the perfect gift.This is the first of the two new songs called "Wild Grey Ocean" and for some reason the whole arrangement of the song brought to my mind Bruce Springsteen's "I m On Fire".Plus a forgotten instrument the last two decades the saxophone is used on the song that always brings a special quality in the production.Nice surprise the release of this one while we expect to hear the next new song.The new live deluxe album will be released on December 9.

This week Lil Baby has 3 new songs on the Billboard top 10 with Sam Smith & Kim Petras reaching the top spot for a first week.This will not last of course since almost the entire top 10 will be occupied by Taylor Swift's new songs from "Midnights". If that happens it will be the first time in the history of Billboard so another record will break.And of course one of the songs that is among the favourites is "Snow On The Beach" with Lana Del Rey as a duet. The shout to Janet Jackson on this song was a talk about from day one with Janet posting a video hearing the song.The opening of the album is tremendous in the US making Taylor Swift a continous idol for so many years in the recording industry.

 In case you are wondering what is pop in the USA then you will be very dissapointed. The genre has been fallen in the abyss for some years now cause rap and country are consuming everything else in the land of the free.And if by chance a dance pop will manage to survive all this mess then it will be an exception.For instance Sam Smith's "Unholy" and David Guetta's "I m Good" are among the few that they survived on Billboard this year.Now Meghan Trainor's new single "Made You Look" out of her brand new album "Takin It Back" is currently doing very well but the question is for how long.The song is refering on different famous brands and the video is featuring Trainor's husbund actor Daryl Sabara.One really big hit "All About That Bass" in 2014 was enough to put her on television shows, releasing several singles and albums and be considered a well known music star in Usa.With "Made You Look" she combines that 60's sound with country pop splashes here and there that can really work overseas or not?

 In a very competitive music industry any absence for a long time can cost you.So far it looks that the media in the Uk have forgotten Ellie Goulding cause her first single from the upcoming 5th album wasn't appreciated no matter what her label did for "Easy Lover". Ellie just announced that her brand new album is called "Higher Than Heaven" it will be released early February 2023 and a new single just popped out of this one.Trying to evaluate "Let It Die" after a good intro it came a rather boring bridge and a refrain that i couldn't relate to with the first listen.It may be a premature opinion cause it oftens change but for now i ll stick with this opinion..

They have a rock side and a pop side that are combined perfectly on their latest album "Being Funny In A Foreign Language".And this song i choose today is made by the 80's stardust."Oh Caroline" can be described in many ways and parallelized with many 80's hits like "Nightshift" by The Commodores but i would ruin the surprise if you are about to hear it for the first time.  I m not a fan of the British rap scene due to many reasons but now and then there is something worth listening to. Stormzy is big in the Uk and only there for now.There is something about the accent in the Uk rap scene that makes it very domestic for many years now. But the brand new single by Stormzy from his upcoming album "This Is What I Mean" has a lot to do with the afrobeat sound that's why it has also vocals by Nigerian sensation Oxlade and Teni along with British singer Ayanna."Hide & Seek" has a beautiful melody and rhythm that got me in the mood.This song will make probably a high entry in the next Uk top 20.

This time the bliss is double cause "Call On Me" has Tove Lo's vocals to ensure the reuslt.Either way my opinion for both of them is well known even if i was expecting more from this single after hearing it for the first time.My playlist is packed by singles from both artists and they will continue to be on my choices...

 The best thing you have to do when everything's going wrong is to break the band and come together after a decade. That's what Blink-182 did and their comeback single "Edging" is trending all over the place.It's funny cause this sound kind of returned to pop with Olivia Rodrigo and many other artists but it never became the main thing the world is listening to.Bands like Blink-182 always bring people to the concerts and "Edging" will be a party starter in their future tour.A new album is on the way and the boys are enjoying their return so far..Not my thing but it's ok.
