SHAKIRA & BURNA BOY - DAI DAI

 Every world champion needs it's soundtrack and Shakira has already done her part not once but now twice. Shakira has officially released "Dai Dai" the anthem for the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026, in collaboration with Nigerian afrobeats star, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy.The previous "Waka Waka" for the 2010 world cup was a quite succesful anthem for Shakira and now "Dai Dai" which means "Let's Go" is another chapter after her big Copa Cabana concert.Blending latin with afrobeats and a big opening show with Madonna and BTS also making an apperance this song will be all over the place the next months either way.This is one of the biggest new releases this week and the charts are awaiting although it's not a strong for the future duration song.

SHAKIRA, ED SHEERAN, BEELE - HIPS DON'T LIE (SPOTIFY ANNIVERSARY VERSION)

 Ed was a special guest on Shakira’s new episode of Spotify Anniversaries, during which she celebrates the 30th anniversary of her album "Pies Descalzos (Bare Feet)" and the 20th anniversary of her album "Oral Fixation". Specifically, he joined her for a new rendition of "Hips Don’t Lie" doing the part originally performed by Wyclef Jean. "Hips Don't Lie” is one of Shakira's most recognizable and beloved songs a track that has been etched in the collective memory of global pop culture.Originally released in 2006 this new interpretation renews the magic of the track not to mention that this duet was out of the blue.

SHAKIRA & MANUEL TURIZO - COPA VACIA

 Shakira returned to her latin star role rather succesfully with many singles this year. In January, she and Bizarrap dropped their firey "Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53" which gave Shakira her fifth top 10 hit and her first since 2007’s "Beautiful Liar" with Beyoncé. She also appeared in Karol G’s latest, history-making set on the track "TQG".This is her brand new single "Copa Vacia" and for that she picked rising latin star Manuel Turizo cause she knows what's hot and trending right now.Shakira assumes the role of a glistening mermaid with long, pink locks in her new music video for the song and if my modjo is not mistaken this is another hit for the latin diva.

 If we look the big picture in music latin artists are right now the most wanted in the business.Global charts are filled with latin music and Shakira is a pioneer in the genre.Now that she moved to the USA her career is expected to take the highway and all her recent moves point to that direction.Her brand new single "Acrostico" is an emotional ballad and a love letter to her kids.The song arrives just days after the singer was honored as Woman of the Year at the Billboard Latin Women in Music event and her legacy seems to be growing faster than ever.

 Now what happens when two Colombian mega latin stars join forces is something that will explode in a metter of hours.Fans have been waiting for this collaboration for years and the result is called "TQG".It's the new single out of Karol G's newly released brand new album "Manana Sera Bonito".Now as for the single apart from the fact that the two latina megaliths have joined forces i don't find the song a really strong player for dominating the media.Yes it will explode but after few days there will be others to take it's place...

 Bachata is a rhythm so traditional in latin songs that many artists are using so often lately.Shakira has a latin blood and so has Ozuna.Staying true to the sound this collaboration is made firstly for the latin market which is huge and if it makes it to the main charts then so be it."Monotonia" has a so familiar sound that works both ways.Nothing special but in a way that makes you start dancing.In case you love Shakira or Ozuna too much then this is for you.For those who have many options in choosing music this is easy to pass...

BLACK EYED PEAS & DAVID GUETTA ft SHAKIRA & FARRUKO - DON'T YOU WORRY (FARRUKO REMIX)

 As if it wasn't enough Black Eyed Peas, David Guetta & Shakira the recent addition of Farruko on "Dont You Worry" single is made along with some new remixes to boost this release which is doing ok at the charts but not as well as expected.You already know the song but some new verses from Farruko makes it a lot different with some extra latin flavour.The song is doing great at the dance/electronic/edm charts in the USA making it a success for what it is.Do you think that this version is better?

SHAKIRA & RAUW ALEJANDRO - TE FELICITO

 While last year's "Don't Wait Up" failed to make a good impression in the music world Shakira took her time to reconsider what she is going to do next. The Colombian star makes a comeback in 2022 recruiting one of the biggest latin stars right now Rauw Alejandro."Te Felicito" is definitely a much better release for Shakira using disco funky guitars along with a reggaeton beat.This blend makes the song interesting enough for the latin charts and latin lovers. What impact will have at the charts is something i really can't predict right now. All i can say is that from now it has a place in my playlist...

SHAKIRA - DON'T WAIT UP

 This is the first English language single by Shakira in 5 years. I don't know what you expected from her but this has nothing to do with latin. Don't Wait Up" is rather an electronic pop with a dance touch easy to be remixed for the dancefloors by great producers i suppose. It's very difficult to judge a song by the first listen and sometimes it needs to grow inside you. From the first listening i wasn't impressed maybe i was expecting something else but like i said it doesn't bother my ears or make me change the radio station that plays it. And who knows with a lot of plays i might know how to sing it...

BLACK EYED PEAS ft SHAKIRA - GIRL LIKE ME (TWOCOLORS REMIX)

 Ήταν ένα προφανές single και το είχα παρουσιάσει στο blog πριν από ένα χρόνο περίπου όταν είχε κυκλοφορήσει το album των Black Eyed Peas. Τελικά κυκλοφόρησε μέσα στο 2021 και ως εκ τούτου άρχισαν να εμφανίζονται και τα remix του "Girl Like Me". Το πρώτο από τους Γερμανούς Twocolors οι οποίοι ανήκουν στα ανερχόμενα ονόματα και έκαναν σε μένα μεγάλη εντύπωση με την διασκευή τους στο "Lovefool" πριν μερικούς μήνες. Οι Black Eyed Peas δήλωσαν ότι μέσα στην χρονιά θα κυκλοφορήσουν και νέα τραγούδια οπότε στην αναμονή. Μέχρι τότε μαζί με την Shakira παίζουν ήδη στα ραδιόφωνα..

BLACK EYED PEAS & SHAKIRA - GIRL LIKE ME

Πριν λίγο έφτασε στα χέρια μου το νέο album των Black Eyed Peas "Translation" και μέσα σε αυτό υπάρχουν αρκετές συνεργασίες με αρκετό buzz. Και επειδή για κάποιον λόγο με το που βάζω Black Eyed Peas στο blog εκτοξεύεται στα δημοφιλέστερα posts της εβδομάδος αυτόματα φαντάζομαι πως μαζί με την Shakira στο "Girl Like Me" δεν θα πείτε όχι. Αν κρίνω από αυτά που γίνονται επιτυχίες θα μπορούσε άνετα να γίνει αρκετά δημοφιλές. Αν κρίνω από άλλα singles που ακούω και βάζω στο blog είναι εμφανής η αδυναμία του να ριζώσει...

SHAKIRA & ANUEL AA - ME GUSTA

Καλή εβδομάδα soundfisters...
Με την Shakira να ετοιμάζεται για το super bowl μαζί με την JLO (ένα κοινό single δεν θα βγάλουν λέτε;;;) το "Me Gusta" έρχεται για να προθερμάνει την ατμόσφαιρα. Reggaeton που είναι της εποχής sample από το "Sweat" των Inner Circle και μαζί έναν ανερχόμενο latino τραγουδιστή τον Anuel AA συνθέτουν το project για να μαζέψει τα προς το ζην η Shakira. Εύπεπτο, συμπαθητικό, συνηθισμένο δε θα κάνει τον κύκλο του στα charts ειδικά στα λατινόφωνα αλλά δεν συνθέτουν για κανένα λόγο τραγούδι που θα κατατάξουμε στα καλύτερα της χρονιάς..

SHAKIRA ft MALUMA - GLANDESTINO

H Shakira απ ότι φαίνεται είπε να αφήσει για λίγο την μητρότητα και να επιστρέψει στην μουσική με νέο single και μια περιοδεία και ίσως και album αργότερα. Για μια ακόμη φορά συνεργάζεται με τον ανερχόμενο latin star Maluma και το "Clandestino" το οποίο ουδεμία σχέση έχει με αυτό του Manu Chao είναι απόλυτα προσαρμοσμένο στις latin ρίζες και των δύο αλλά και στις καιρικές συνθήκες. Το καλοκαίρι μάλλον του ταιριάζει...
