 I wish i didn't have to make the review on this one. I remember some past decades the official world cup anthems for football were huge hits with the biggest names taking musical part on this huge celebration.This choice for the official Fifa World Cup anthem in Qatar in November is seriously with a lack of inspiration.Using "Everybody Wants To Rule The World" by Tears For Fears as a sample over autotune rap vocals by Lil Baby is a serious mistake.Not only you defile a classic but it also makes you wanna watch other sports instead.Whoever made that choice should be punished...

 It's official Beyonce gets the number one spot in Billboard dethroning Lizzo after 2 weeks.Beyonce gets also the number 1 album with "Renaisance" giving queen B the biggest success in almost 12 years.Steve Lacy with "Bad Habit" will storm into the top 10 and it has the potential getting even higher the next weeks.Now the vanity of DJ Khaled is unspeakable naming himself in every song he releases with the biggest names around. Drake and Lil Baby serve the vocals on "Staying Alive" but the song is not in my personal acoustic field.It will make a great start in the charts cause everything Drake releases even if it was reading the yellow pages it will sell.

Not only has one hit after another but he also shows his solidarity to the Ukranian people since all the proceeds of his new single with Lil Baby on board for the remix will go in aid of the Ukranian refugees. The video for the song was shot in the streets of Kyiv before the Russian invasion with Ukranian dancers."2Step" will just another hit in Sheeran's long back catalog which continues to expand month by month.Are there any more surprises from Ed this year?

NICKI MINAJ & LIL BABY - DO WE HAVE A PROBLEM?

 I really don't care how big Nicki Minaj is at the USA and i m not paid by anyone to write good reviews for new music. It's my personal opinion that drives me after 40 years of listening to music. And if you have lived big releases and great rap tunez it's really difficult to feel empathy for songs like "Do We Have A Problem?" the new single by Minaj together with Lil Baby. It might be the most talked about new release of the week but i m not into it ven if it gets number one in the charts somehow which i really don't see it. I know that Nicki can sing and some electronic tunes she released in the past were really interesting but i know that rap queen is her thug. I ll pass...

DRAKE ft LIL BABY - GIRLS WANT GIRLS

 Not one not two but three new songs by Drake is going to dethrone Ed Sheeran from the Uk number one. This is showing the impact that Drake has in todays music breaking the one record after the other. Not even the return of Abba after 40 years could stop the Canadian rapper of becoming number one everywhere. The song that is going to be number one next week in the Uk is "Girl Wants Girls" with some verse eveyone is talking about. I said before that the position in the charts has no longer the greatest meaning since the duration is the one that makes something a real hit. How many songs from the Drake album can top the charts is something we ll have to see but it's unquestionable that Drake is a super star. Lil Baby joins Drake on this one as he did with Kanye West and rises up day by day...

KANYE WEST ft THE WEEKND & LIL BABY - HURRICANE

 Have a nice week soundfisters...

Sometimes genious goes along with madness and Kanye West seems to be both. I will not get into his madness cause anyone could use many things from his behaviour to prove that. His messed mind can produce great music most of the times and his new album "Donda" proves that even though he has not his approval for the release (go figure). Great collabs in it and songs like "Hurricane" with The Weeknd and Lil Baby can rocket sky high on the charts. I guess Billboard next week will be full of Kanye West on the Hot 100 and some of the songs from the new album will keep us company for the many next weeks maybe years...

DJ KHALED ft POST MALONE, MEGAN THEE STALLION, LIL BABY & DABABY - I DID IT

 O χοντρούλης κροίσος της μουσικής επέστρεψε με ένα album όπου κυριολεκτικά τους έχει όλους μέσα. Το κάθε τραγούδι του album του "Khaled Khaled" είναι ένα all star με τα μεγαλύτερα ονόματα να συμμετέχουν σαν να του έχουν κάποιου είδους υποχρέωση που ακόμα δεν μπορώ να καταλάβω. Τα trademarks του another one και Dj Khaled ως δείγμα της προσωπικής του ψωνάρας σε όλα τα επίπεδα είναι και πάλι εκεί και υπομονή σε όσους τα αντέχουν. Το συγκεκριμένο δεν είναι το single μέσα από το album που σπρώχνεται με το ανάλογο video αλλά είναι το καλύτερο από αυτά που έχω ακούσει. Αρκεί να κοιτάξει κανείς ποιοι συμμετέχουν σε αυτό και να ζαλιστεί. He didi it....again..

DRAKE ft LIL BABY - WANTS AND NEEDS

 Καλή εβδομάδα soundfisters...

Ο Drake όπως φαίνεται θα κάνει και πάλι το θαύμα του αφού το νέο του Ep που περιέχει 3 νέα τραγούδια θα γίνουν όλα επιτυχίες στα βασικά charts. Πρώτα θα έχουμε την Μεγάλη Βρετανία όπου προβλέπεται και τα 3 να γίνουν Top 10 απευθείας. Το άλλο βασικό είναι πως η Olivia Rodrigo μετά από 8 εβδομάδες στο νούμερο ένα μάλλον θα παραχωρήσει την θέση της στο "Wellerman" το οποίο μπλοκαρίστηκε για αρκετό καιρό μερικά σκαλοπάτια πιο κάτω. Με αυτή την πίεση από τα νέα τραγούδια του Drake που θα υποχωρήσουν λογικά αργότερα δεν υπάρχει χώρος για τα υπόλοιπα. Κάτι ανάλογο βέβαια θα συμβεί και στις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες αλλά όχι αύριο όπως θα ανακοινώσει το Billboard όπου η Rodrigo θα κάνει και εκεί το 8 στα 8 με την Cardi B και το "Up" να περιορίζεται στο νούμερο 2. Το αν θα μπορέσει να ανέβει στην κορυφή μάλλον λίγο δύσκολο το βλέπω αφού ο Drake σε 10 μέρες από τώρα δεν θα αφήσει περιθώρια στην Cardi B. Θα δούμε βέβαια και την πορεία τόσο του Justin Bieber όσο και του νέου group του Anderson Paak με τον Bruno Mars που φαίνεται να αρέσει αρκετά. Το "Wants And Needs" πάντως είναι το δεύτερο μετά το "What's Next" σε δημοφιλία από το νέο Ep του Drake...

 Το "Breaking Me" ήταν αναμφισβήτητα από τις επιτυχίες του καλοκαιριού άντε και της χρονιάς να πω στο είδος του. Πόσο πιθανό είναι να επαναλάβει την επιτυχία ο Topic με το νέο του single; To "Breaking Me" έβγαζε μάτι ότι είναι επιτυχία αν επικρατούσαν οι κατάλληλες συνθήκες. Το "Why Do You Lie To Me" όμως δεν βγάζει μάτι. Μάλλον θα καταλήξει και αυτός ως one hit wonder αν δεν βγάλει κάτι καλύτερο από αυτό. Προσωπική μου άποψη...

LIL BABY - THE BIGGER PICTURE

Με όλα αυτά που συμβαίνουν στις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες φυσικό είναι να επηρεάζεται και η μουσική και ειδικά η rap η οποία εκφράζει ανάμεσα σε άλλα και κοινωνικά προβλήματα. Η θέση του Trump στο κορυφαίο πολιτικό αξίωμα δείχνει την κατάσταση στην οποία βρίσκεται η κοινωνία που δεν απέχει πολύ από την παγκόσμια πραγματικότητα. Και θα γίνει ακόμα χειρότερη μέχρι το big bang (πρόβλεψη).
Το "The Bigger Picture" είναι το μοναδικό νέο τραγούδι στο Top 10 του Billboard και μάλιστα με ένα τεράστιο άλμα στο νούμερο 3 διεκδικώντας την κορυφή την επόμενη εβδομάδα από το "Trollz" το οποίο θεωρώ ότι θα πέσει. Η Beyonce δεν έχει video για να μετράνε τα views οπότε ο Lil Baby μάλλον θα αποκτήσει το πρώτο του νούμερο 1. Τώρα αν είστε fans όλου αυτού του σκηνικού μπορεί να συνδεθείτε αλλιώς θα προσπεράσετε...

STEFFLON DON & LIL BABY - PHONE DOWN

H Stefflon Don είναι αρκετά επιτυχημένη στην Βρετανία αλλά στον υπόλοιπο πλανήτη όχι ιδιαίτερα. Την γνωρίζουν βέβαια πολλοί αλλά προς το παρόν είναι Βρετανικό μουσικό περιουσιακό προιόν. Και επειδή Βρετανία (κατά κύριο Λόγο) και Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες είναι οι κύριες πηγές δισκογραφίας είναι αναμενόμενο ότι θα ασχολούμαστε στα blogs και μαζί της. Βασικά η Stefflon Don είναι μία αξιοπρεπής παρουσία όσο αναφορά τα singles της όπου μπλέκει την reggaeton με την soul και την rap σε αναλογίες που τις λες αρκετά συμπαθητικές και εύκολες στο αυτί. Το νέο της single "Phone Down" προορίζεται για Top 10 επιτυχία στην Βρετανία και κάτι μου λέει πως θα πραγματοποιηθεί πολύ σύντομα...

JULIAN PERRETTA & LIL BABY - PONY

Πολύ ενδιαφέρουσα και ωραία αυτή η διασκευή στην πολύ μεγάλη επιτυχία του Ginuwine μερικές δεκαετές πριν. Αν βάλεις και το γεγονός ότι στην ενορχήστρωση συμμετέχει και ο Ed Sheeran ο οποίος ήταν σε τουρνέ με τον Perretta τότε το εγχείρημα γίνεται ακόμα πιο ιντριγκαδόρικο. Δεν μας είχε συνηθίσει σε κάτι τέτοιο ο Julian και είναι μία ευχάριστη έκπληξη που θα πρέπει να φτάσει σε όσο δυνατον περισσότερα αυτιά κοινώς να γίνει hit!!!
