 Tori Amos has a strange relationship with dance music cause one of her biggest hits was "Professional Widow" on a remix that Armand Van Helden & MK made for her.Still i m not a fan of this dance classic and i ll stick to her "Crusify" mood wich represents her more.Once more she tries the dance scene recruiting one of my favourites right now Paul Woolford for this remix. It actually samples two different partial lyrics from "29 Years" plus the word "Tequila" from "Devil's Bane".The result is called "Tequila" and is one of the stellar new remixes this week.

 This is the first serious attempt by Paul Woolford to create a chart hit.He teams up with London-based singer-songwriter MNEK and hitmaker Lewis Thompson for the release of "16 Again". MNEK and Lewis Thompson worked together on British DJ Joel Corry's 2020 single “Head & Heart” as co-writers but this is Woolford's very first time.All the ingredients to become a pop dance hit are there now if it will make you 16 again i m pretty sure it won't.

LF SYSTEM - HUNGRY FOR LOVE (PAUL WOOLFORD REMIX)

 I was true when i first reviewed LF System's "Hungry For Love".I then wrote that it won't recieve the attention needed after a number one in the Uk with "Afraid To Feel".It was a minor hit for the duo who is about to release soon a new banger especially in the dance charts.Now Paul Woolford gave "Hungry For Love" this brand new remix with 90's piano feeling and some techno twists giving it a total different aspect.I m not sure i like this view either although i love Paul's work.

 He was one of my favourite remixers in 2022. I m talking about Paul Woolford that made songs better sometimes with his remixes and offered a chance to dance to some of the biggest hits in 2022.Now "All By Myself" had the great idea to use Depeche Mode's "Enjoy The Silence" melody but it didn't work so far.This remix by Woolford is made for dancefloors as always but it's also more contemporary for the Uk market.Too bad Alok is so overlooked in the charts he is so talented..

 There is nothing better for a music blogger to have nice songs waiting patiently their turn for my spotlight here.And Dermot Kennedy's brand new single which has already been reviewed early September is one of those nice songs that when it gets a remix it gets even better especially if the one who remixed is Paul Woolford."Kiss Me" is a slow burner in the Uk that already has huge sales but not that much streaming and radio plays.Thank god all the rest are increasing and this remix will help the song of becoming a hit.And if not it was so nice to came across our paths..

RAG N BONE MAN & PINK - ANYWHERE AWAY FROM HERE (PAUL WOOLFORD REMIX)

 Το 'Anywhere Away From Here" του Rag N Bone Man" είναι από αυτά που πουλάνε στην Βρετανία αλλά το streaming δεν είναι αρκετό. Τώρα πως το ένα δεν συνδέεται με το άλλο μην με ρωτάτε. Πάντως μετά την εμφάνιση του στα Brits το album του Rag N Bone Man χτύπησε κορυφή ενώ η Pink μετά την εμφάνιση της στα Billboard Awards εκτόξευσε τις πωλήσεις της. Όπως καταλαβαίνεται αυτός ο συνδυασμός βοηθά και τους δύο και αν χρειαζόσουν μία χορευτική έκδοση του τραγουδιού ο Paul Woolford φυσικά έβαλε και εδώ το χεράκι του και είναι ότι πρέπει...

TOMCRAFT ft MOGUAI & ILIRA - HAPPINESS (PAUL WOOLFORD EXTENDED REMIX)

 Τα classics είναι classics σε όποιο είδος και αν ανήκουν. Και δεν θα υπήρχε αναβίωση αν δεν τα αγαπούσε ο κόσμος τόσο πολύ. Σε αυτή την κατηγορία ανήκει φυσικά και το "Happiness" του Tomcraft το οποίο το αναβιώνει μαζί με τον Moguai και την Ilira στα φωνητικά ενώ το remix το έχει αναλάβει ο Paul Woolford τον οποίο εγώ προσωπικά θεωρώ εξαιρετικό και πως είναι πολύ λίγη η επιτυχία που έχει γνωρίσει μέχρι τώρα συγκριτικά με κάτι άλλους τύπου Joel Corry, Regard και δεν συμμαζεύεται. Και επειδή ξέρω πως κάτι τέτοια εκτός από χρήσιμα τα αγαπάτε κιόλας το blog πάντοτε θα κάνει το provide..

LONDON GRAMMAR- HOW DOES IT FEEL (PAUL WOOLFORD REMIX)

Έχω γράψει πως αυτό είναι το καλύτερο single που έχουν βγάλει οι London Grammar μέσα από το "American Soil" album τους και συνεχίζει να γίνεται καλύτερο με τα remixes του που έχουν αρχίσει ήδη να κάνουν την εμφάνιση τους. Ο Paul Woolford είναι από τους πιο καυτούς djs-παραγωγούς αυτή την στιγμή στον πλανήτη και η εκδοχή του στο "How Does It Feel" του δίνει την mainstream dance γυαλάδα που θα μπορούσε να έχει..
