SAM FENDER & ELTON JOHN - TALK TO YOU

 Sir Elton John always supports new artists he thinks they have something to offer to the music industry and Sam Fender for sure is one of them.Well Sam Fender has released a new song with Elton John entitled "Talk to You", the day after winning the 2025 Mercury prize for his album People Watching.It features a twinkling piano line laid out by John, amid Fender’s full-bodied guitar-led songwriting. Fender is riding high as one of the UK’s most successful singer-songwriters. His third album "People Watching" topped the UK album chart, just as his previous two had, and two of its songs, the title track and "Rein Me In", a duet with Olivia Dean have reached the Top 10.Expect "Talk To You" to do the same on next week's Uk Top chart.

ELTON JOHN & BRANDI CARLILE - WHO BELIEVES IN ANGELS

 "Never Too Late" with Elton John and Brandi Carlile is an Oscar nominated song this year taken from documentary film, "Elton John: Never Too Late".It seems that these two didn’t just record the currently Oscar-nominated song but an entire album together. That 10-song set, "Who Believes in Angels?", will be released April 4 and the title song is the lead single.The two singers will also be doing what is being characterized as a one-off concert: "An Evening With Elton John & Brandi Carlile" set for the London Palladium on March 26, described as "a one-night-only event" of "performance and storytelling".As for the song if you still know what composing music and not computerized sounds like then this typical Elton John songwriting will create plenty of bliss.

After the virtual records streaming creates the Billboard chart is going to be restored with "Anti-Hero" holding for a second week the number one spot while Rihanna's new single will debut at number two.This normallity will remain only for one week cause the next week the singles from the join album by Drake & 21 Savage will cause the same streaming chart effect.Then the Christmas songs will enter once more the race so no room left for other music.

"Hold Me Closer" received another nice remix this week by Pink Panda so the djs have a full choise list for the rest of it's legacy.If nothing extraordinary happens this might be the last one you see at my blog cause you can't keep any closer these two..

 I think this was the best choice for remixing "Hold Me Closer" for so many reasons.After the Joel Corry remix here comes the Purple One to deliver the ultimate version of this collab.It will ultimately increase the radio plays, the sales and the streaming of the song despite the fact this should be the primar release in the first place.Purple Disco Machine has a unique way to make things sound better and he proves that everytime.I won't be surprised if Pnau will join the remix package very soon...

 Well you all know this one and a brand new remix is here to enforce this release cause it needs it.The release of "Hold Me Closer" was received with mixed opinions. After the first days of it's release the song started the downhill in the charts although it was expected to reach number one everywhere.Not that it didn't become a hit but it didn't achieve the hit duration of "Cold Heart".To keep it "warm" here is a brand new remix by Joel Corry himself one of the hitmakers the last 2 years and to tell you the truth is a good one.If they will be another remix is something to see but i m pretty satisfied with this one...

 Ok this is it. Although the song was leaked last week and many of you have already heard it i was waiting for the official release in case it was a demo version.This is the long waiting return of Britney Spears with the help of Elton John after all that happened with free Britney thing. On the other hand the huge success Elton John had with Dua Lipa last year that still stands and it will continue in decades to come was a very anticipated release. But there are some statements if they are true behalf of Britney Spears that she sounds on "Hold Me Closer" like a back up singer with Elton replying to her that you are more than a back up singer. The song of course is the 1972 hit by Elton John "Tiny Dancer" that was reconstructed into this. Not only other artists cover others but Elton is recycling his music into a modern hit with a brilliant way.It is destined to be a hit one way or another for so many reasons...

LADBABY ft ED SHEERAN & ELTON JOHN - SAUSAGE ROLLS FOR EVERYONE

 Oh yes they are back and they claim a chart history in the Uk if they manage to hit the Christmas number one for fourth time in a row. This is a charity single for Ladbaby as all their singles before but the strange thing is that this year they take on Ed Sheeran & Elton John "Merry Christmas" to create "Sausage Rolls For Everyone". Will they steal the number one from the creators of the song? Not exactly since both Ed & Elton are featured on the release with their blessings. The parody cover is already number one in sales since today's release and there are only 7 days left for the great battle.

 Finally a NEW seasonal song that can sell and be heard the next 50 years and more. This is definetely going to be the Uk Christmas number one and it has a very simple title, "Merry Christmas". This duet between Ed Sheeran and Elton John is huge full of sleigh bells and it's going to be all over the place. I can hear them both saying eat my dust Mariah Carey....

 The definition of a classic is that a song is timeless. You can hear it now next month next year and forever. The chart position isn't always the criterion to astablish that term and it's more a feeling you feel every time you hear a song. Elton John has many of those and the latest is "Cold Heart" that already has many remixes to choose from but you can add another one. The Christmas single that is going to release with Ed Sheeran may give him another number one single this year and it almost looks more than certain...

ELTON JOHN & SG LEWIS - ORBIT

 Just in time Elton John's "Cold Heart" managed to hit number one last week cause Adele's "Easy On Me" came and swiped everything. His "Lockdown Sessions" is out and listening to the album it has some nice songs in it but the only one with potential to be a hit is this one. Of course there is a Christmas song on the way duet with Ed Sheeran that probably hit number one but "Orbit" is the most modern sound in Elton John's new album. Pnau was responsible for "Cold Heart" and SG Lewis who i admire and believe very much is responsible for the sound of "Orbit". Hopefully he will release it as a single. Do u hear me Elton?

 Few chances but there are still there for "Cold Heart" to hit number one in the Uk and i don't know if it can make it finally since Adele is releasing her new single next week."Shivers" is to hard to die but maybe the sales of the remixes of Elton John Dua Lipa's collab can contibue to something that needs to be done just for the history. There is a new remix of "Cold Heart" by his majesty Claptone that i m sure you gonna love it...

ELTON JOHN & STEVIE WONDER - FINISH LINE

 They are both close to the "Finish Line" cause myths do get ageing but never die. I really don't care what chart position this will have just as long it will give me the chills of the first time. One by one the songs in "The Lockdown Sessions" are getting reveiled and this one is one of the best songs Elton John has ever written. And these are not my words but sir Elton's himself. And now my review.....When two legends sounds so good in a so 80's way and their injected in our brains voices are colliding in a massive compisition there is nothing more you want..

ELTON JOHN & CHARLIE PUTH - AFTER ALL

 This is the second treat from the new Elton John album "The Lockdown Sessions" this time with Charlie Puth on board. The talented young artist has slowed down lately even though he is very talented. He is honoured by sir Elton with this collaboration called "After All". I m not sure yet if this is going to be the next single John will promote from his album cause is very adult and not an obvious hit. You can't expect from Elton John a composition with 5 notes as many hits uses these days or a dance anthem as an original sound. This Elton John people on of the greatest composers of all time..

 Strangely it took a long time for this song to enter the Uk top 10 cause it is a instant hit. Now "Cold Heart" enjoys the Top 5 as i wrote days ago and is eyeing the Uk number one despite Ed Sheeran's reign with his songs replacing himself at the top. The remixes of "Cold Heart" are getting one by one on display and PS1 one of the highly and upcoming djs-producers makes this dance edition not only for clubs that will help sir Elton John gain another number one hit single...

 If you are wondering where you can use the password then you have to find Sound Fist at Facebook to solve this question.And since "Cold Heart" is going to crash at the Uk Top 10 today with the potential to climb all the way to number one then you have to listen to this remix. The Blessed Madonna who made her big bang remixing many songs from the Dua Lipa "Future Nostalgia" album and then she had one of the most influation dance songs along Fred Again is doing her thing once again. I believe the Pnau remix is so far the best one but this dance minimalistic approach has a different logic for different music ears..

It's a great privilidge for anyone to work with sir Elton John and Dua lipa is now one among them. This collab is a medley of two Elton John hits "Sacrifice" and "Rocketman" in a combo remix by Pnau. I remember the week "Sacrifice" was number one back in 1990 i was in London and i bought a copy of the single which had two copies inside the sleeve (lucky me). The outcome is really modern, perfect and all i needed as the first new release of the week.Need to say that this one sounds like a hit?

MILEY CYRUS & ELTON JOHN ft WATT, ROBERT TRUJILLO, CHAD SMITH & YO-YO MA - NOTHING ELSE MATTERS

 Δεν ξέρω αν το έχω γράψει ποτέ στο blog αλλά τα τρία πιο αγαπημένα μου albums όλων των εποχών είναι το "Purple Rain" του Prince το "Nothing Like The Sun" του Sting και το "Black" album των Metallica. Βγάλε εσύ συμπέρασμα τώρα τι μουσική μου αρέσει...

Τώρα αν σου πω πως η μεταμόρφωση της Miley Cyrus σε αυτό που είναι σήμερα και ειδικά με το τελευταίο της album μ αρέσει τρελά δεν θα είναι ψέμα. Το να συμμετέχει η Miley με τον Elton John στο piano τον Robert Trujillo των Metallica στην κιθάρα και όλους τους υπόλοιπους σε μία από τις διασκευές αυτού του ύμνου που ονομάζεται "Nothing Else Matters" είναι τεράστιο treat. Και λέω μία από τις διασκευές γιατί θα υπάρχουν πολλές. Για να βάλω τα πράγματα στην θέση τους στις 10 Σεπτεμβρίου θα κυκλοφορήσει ξανά το "Black" album των Metallica με διασκευές στα τραγούδια του album από διάφορους καλλιτέχνες και όχι μόνο μία φορά. Έτσι θα υπάρχουν πχ 6 διασκευές στο "Enter Sandman, 12 στο "Nothing Else Matters" μία εκ των οποίων είναι και η διασκευή του Dave Gahan των Depeche Mode που πεθαίνω να ακούσω, 7 του "Sad But True" and so on...Όλη η κυκλοφορία θα είναι σε ένα συλλεκτικό box set με διάφορα καλούδια ενώ το πρώτο δείγμα που σου παρουσιάζω σήμερα περιττό να σου πω πως παίζει συνέχεια...

ELTON JOHN ft YEARS & YEARS - IT'S A SIN

 Δεν ξέρω πόσοι από εσάς είδατε τα χτεσινά Brits αλλά δύο ήταν για μένα τα highlights των χθεσινών on stage live. Η εμφάνιση της Dua Lipa η οποία ήταν εντυπωσιακή και η εμφάνιση έκπληξη του Elton John μαζί με τον Olly Alexander aka Years & Years οι οποίοι ερμήνευσαν το "It's A Sin" των Pet Shop Boys. Βέβαια ο Olly το είχε διασκευάσει για την ομώνυμη τηλεοπτική σειρά που πήγε καλά αλλά η σκέψη του Elton John ήταν να το κάνουνμε αυτόν στο piano αρχικά και μετά να βάλουν σαν χαλί το original από τους PSB. Η κυκλοφορία του θα βοηθήσει με τα έσοδα του τον αγώνα κατά του Aids που απ ότι μαθαίνω με την βοήθεια κάποιου εμβολίου MRNA πολύ σύντομα θα είναι παρελθόν...

LADY GAGA & ELTON JOHN - SINE FROM ABOVE

 

Σε λίγες μέρες θα δοθούν τα VMA's και η Lady Gaga θα είναι μία από τις perfomers των βραβείων. Μετά το "Rain On Me" το οποίο εξακολουθεί να πουλάει δεν έχει "σπρώξει" κάποιο νέο single από το "Chromatica" και απ ότι φαίνεται θα το κάνει με το "Sine From Above" το ντουέτο της με τον καλό της φίλο Elton John το οποίο θα είναι το επόμενο. Φαντάζομαι πως η εμφάνιση της θα είναι ένα medley με το συγκεκριμένο να ακούγεται στο τέλος και ίσως να εμφανιστεί με κάποιον τρόπο (εξ αποστάσεως) και ο ίδιος ο Elton John. Για να δούμε...

SURFACES & ELTON JOHN - LEARN TO FLY

Για τους Surfaces έχω μιλήσει στο blog και μάλιστα το "Sunday Best" είναι στα πρόθυρα του να γίνει Top 10 στις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες. Βέβαια εδώ το τραγούδι δεν θα τσιμπήσει καθόλου εύκολα αφού το στυλάκι των πιτσιρικάδων είναι μάλλον αρκετά μακριά από τα δεδομένα της pop. Παρ όλα αυτά φαντάζομαι πως θα νιώθουν εξαιρετική τιμή που θέλησε ο Elton John να συνεργαστεί μαζί τους για το νέο τους single το οποίο παρουσιάζω σήμερα. Προφανώς θα είδε κάτι σε αυτούς αν και το "Learn To Fly" δεν είναι κάτι που με ψήνει για επαναλαμβανόμενη ακρόαση..
