 Stormzy released his brand new album "This Is What I Mean" and he is heading for the number one album in the Uk this Friday.The album is a rather surprise even to his fans cause has a rather somber mood.Of course he is Stormzy and as he said if he wanted to make a country album he would do it without any second thoughts.Apart from "Hide & Seek" this new single "Firebabe" will also get the top 10 credit as the album sales boost the single releases.I will not give a genre sound on "Firebabe" cause i hate that but i will only say that this sensitive soul aspect of him is something that i like.

STORMZY - HIDE & SEEK

 I m not a fan of the British rap scene due to many reasons but now and then there is something worth listening to. Stormzy is big in the Uk and only there for now.There is something about the accent in the Uk rap scene that makes it very domestic for many years now. But the brand new single by Stormzy from his upcoming album "This Is What I Mean" has a lot to do with the afrobeat sound that's why it has also vocals by Nigerian sensation Oxlade and Teni along with British singer Ayanna."Hide & Seek" has a beautiful melody and rhythm that got me in the mood.This song will make probably a high entry in the next Uk top 20.

 Rap is like basketaball. You can play it in every part of the world but the most popular and famous players you can find them at the USA. Dave & Stormzy are very popular in the UK and that's why they are going to have the highest new entry in the Uk chart next week as it will be announced tommorow. HEADIE ONE ft AJ TRACEY & STORMZY - AIN'T IT DIFFERENT

 

Καλή εβδομάδα soundfisters...

Οι τοπικοί rappers σε κάθε χώρα γνωρίζουν ιδιαίτερη επιτυχία με τους Αμερικάνους βέβαια να τους εξάγουν ενώ οι Βρετανοί παραμένουν εγκλωβισμένοι στο νησί κάνοντας βέβαια την επιτυχία που χρειάζονται. Τρεις από τους πιο επιτυχημένους στο νησί συνεργάζονται μαζί για να έχουν την δεύτερη υψηλότερη νέα είσοδο στο Uk chart της επόμενης εβδομάδας αφού απ ότι φαίνεται οι BTS θα έχουν το πρώτο τους νούμερο 1 με το εξ ολοκλήρου αγγλόφωνου single τους που θα ρίξει από την κορυφή με τα πρώτα στοιχεία τους Joel Corry και Mnek.

Το "Ain't It Different" χρησιμοποιεί σαν sample το γνωστό riff των Red Hot Chilli Peppers στο "Pretty Little Ditty" που έκαναν επιτυχία οι Crazy Town στο "Butterfly" που ξέρουν οι περισσότεροι. Ανέκαθεν με ενοχλούσε το Βρετανικό ακσάντ στα rappers και ίσως αυτός είναι ο λόγος που δεν εξάγεται το είδος.

STORMZY ft ED SHEERAN & BURNA BOY - OWN IT

O Stormzy μπορεί να είναι πολύ επιτυχημένος στην Μεγάλη Βρετανία αλλά μέχρι εκεί. Είναι ένας εγχώριος rapper που δεν έχει καταφέρει να ξεπεράσει μόνος του τα σύνορα του νησιού. Το "Own It" είναι το payback του Ed Sheeran στην συμμετοχή του Stormzy στο δικό του album. Μην έχετε καμία αμφιβολία ότι θα βρεθεί ψηλά στα charts τις επόμενες εβδομάδες και θα περιλαμβάνεται στο νέο album του Stormzy "Heavy Is The Head".

STORMZY - CROWN

O Stormzy είναι ο βασιλιάς του grime στην Βρετανία και μπορεί εδώ να μην ακούμε τέτοια και να μην μας αφορά και πολύ είναι όμως ένα όνομα που γράφει την δική του ιστορία. Το "Vossi Bop" είναι ένα σκαλοπάτι κάτω από την κορυφή την οποία κρατάει ο Ed Sheeran για μία ακόμα εβδομάδα στο νησί ενώ το νέο του single θα επιβεβαιώσει τον τίτλο του βασιλιά. Είναι πολύ διαφορετικό και ιδιαίτερο το "Crown" με μία 70's αισθητική που προκαλεί έκπληξη. Αυτό μπορεί να αφορά περισσότερο κόσμο..

STORMZY - VOSSI BOP

Ο Stormzy στην Μεγάλη Βρετάνια είναι ότι ο Drake στις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες. Και επειδή το κίνημα της rap είναι ένα παγκόσμιο φαινόμενο με πολλούς τοπικούς "ήρωες" ανά χώρα μουσικά δεν μπορεί να παραβλεφθεί. Είτε είσαι fan είτε όχι το νέο του single θα παλέψει στην Βρετανία για το επόμενο νούμερο 1 με την Taylor Swift αφού διεκδικούν με τις ίδιες αξιώσεις την κορυφή. Προσωπικά δεν είμαι ιδιαίτερος fan της Βρετανικής rap κυρίως του λεκτικού ιδιώματος που δεν μου κολλάει. Από εκεί και μετά περί ορέξεως...

JORJA SMITH ft STORMZY - LET ME DOWN

H Jorja Smith είναι από τα νέα ανερχόμενα ονόματα της Μεγάλης Βρετανίας και  αυτό θα φανεί μέσα στο νέο έτος όταν θα κυκλοφορήσει και το album της. Προπομπός αυτού το πρώτο single "Let Me Down" το οποίο είναι αναπάντεχα εξαιρετικό και με την βοήθεια του Stormzy ο οποίος αυτή την στιγμή είναι το κορυφαίο όνομα στην rap στο "νησί" θα κάνει τις επόμενες εβδομάδες υψηλές πτήσεις στο chart της Βρετανίας. Και επειδή μία επιτυχία εκεί είναι σίγουρο πως θα στρέψει τα βλέμματα πάνω της ίσως και μία μεγαλύτερη επιτυχία να την εκτοξεύσει παγκοσμίως.
