After making her major soundtrack contribution for "Wuthering Heights" this single takes a distance from her "Brat" sound testing her strength with the larger audience and not just with her fans who loved her for her futuristic dance sounds.Is the dance floor dead and the sights are set for rock guitars?The distance between stardome and be forgotten is really thin and Charli XCX is really balancing with this one.

CALVIN HARRIS & JAZZY - SATISFY

 Calvin Harris and Irish singer and dj Jazzy are on board for a new dance anthem to treat your summer."Satisfy" is a piano-driven dance anthem that i don't know if it will do what the title says but while i m writing these lines i feel that it could.Jazzy on the other hand is on the frontline of dance music in the island with collaborations like "Make Me Feel Good" with Belters Only and "Somedays" with Sonny Fodera and D.O.D. Her voice sits comfortably on house tempo, so her pairing with Harris feels natural rather than experimental. The two artists also share a clear feel for melodic, vocal-driven club music.In times where dance music just like pop produces minimum hits on the charts this might not climb to the highest nots but it does feel good.

MAROON 5 - HEROINE

More and more i see AI music storming into the i-tunes charts which makes me wonder about the future of music.Luckily for now artificial music is not allowed to enter the charts but for how long.Few decades back using computers to create music was a necessary bad need used mostly by djs and it was accepted in no time putting real instruments aside.But virtual artists and ai music really freaks me out cause making music by a real artist is a living organism.

Anyway bands like Maroon 5 are still around although the glow of the past faded away big time.That doesn't mean that their new single is not good.In fact "Heroine" is a rather electrified and fun to hear song that in their days of glory would have been a nimber one record.In fact this new song finds Maroon 5 reconnecting with the sound that first defined them, blending infectious energy with sleek, modern production. Driven by Adam Levine’s unmistakable vocals, the track captures the rush of an all-consuming connection through propulsive melodies and emotionally charged lyricism.The single arrives at a pivotal moment as the band prepares for an expanded run of international tour dates in 2026 spanning Latin America and Europe packed with fan-favourite hits that continue to resonate with audiences around the world.

 When you have both Madonna and Lady Gaga on this week's new releases then you must be at least satisfied feeling that pop music is at the centre of everyone's attention.On top of her cameo in "The Devil Wears Prada 2", Lady Gaga contributed three original songs with "Glamorous Life" being the best song in it.While the video for her duet with Doechii being released only few days ago and the buzz around the movie taking over the internet the soundtrack is an all-female ost that features songs from Dua Lipa’s "Radical Optimism" ("End of an Era"), Miley Cyrus’ "Something Beautiful" (the Brittany Howard duet "Walk of Fame"), and Olivia Dean’s "The Art of Loving" ("Nice to Each Other") which is kinda strange for a new ost to include songs that has already been released way long ago.Gaga is known that she can deliver powerful ballads and "Glamorous Life" is one of them.(In a small part of the song i hear "Don't Speak" by No Doubt don't you?

NINE INCH NAILS & BOYS NOIZE - CLOSER (NINE INCH NOIZE VERSION)

 This year's Coachella showed Justin Bieber as the big winner exploding the sales and streaming of his back catalogue up to make him return to the highest chart positions.But not only Justin Bieber made an impact.One of the most discussed appearances was the co-existing of Nine Inch Nails with Boys Noize. Nine Inch Noize, an alternate version of the group made up of NIN mainstays Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, plus Mariqueen Maandig (Reznor’s wife) teamed up with Alex Ridha, the German producer known as Boys Noize.A Nine Inch Noize album that features new versions of songs by Nine Inch Nails, but unlike the albums of re-recorded back catalogue is a rather interesting idea and the sound of this version of "Closer" proves it.One of my favourite moments of this year's Coachella that makes music go forward.

The "Live At The BBC" EP features her cover of the Carole King classic with Jools Holland (Side A) and a cover of boygenius' "Cool About It" (Side B).The track "You've Got A Friend" is a heartfelt cover performed on Later... with Jools Holland and the response by the audience was massive.That much that this is probably going to enter the Uk charts next week in the highest chart positions.This is the Olivia Dean effect and the return of real music in musical tastes of the people.

 This is the first time in a long time that i hear a different song from Lana Del Rey and the reason is.....James fucking Bond. Many musicians have recorded James Bond theme songs which never saw the light of day and this one is one of them.Lana Del Rey previously recorded a song for the film "Spectre" but the track was rejected by the Bond producers.It was Daniel Craig’s fourth outing as Bond however, she lost out to Sam Smith.Now, she’s getting a second stab at the Bond theme, with "First Light", which serves as the theme track to the upcoming James Bond video game "007: First Light".This sounds definitely as a Bond theme and also marks the first time in a long time that i will add a Lana Del Rey in my current playlist.There's some kind of light that she can sing something different...

 Some of you have been waiting for this eagerly and i totally get it cause after all she is Madonna.I m pretty sure that both her and Stuart Price had Donna Summer's "I Feel Love" while making it."I Feel So Free" has the basic structure of Summer's iconic classic but with the signature of Madonna's new persona.A persona that invented for "Confesions On The Dancefloor II" that will be released on July 3.Some say that it also reminds "French Kiss" by Lil Louis a mega blaster from the past but i find no resemblance in my opinion.Fans are crazy right now and probably never read what i wrote here and that's totally understood.After all Madonna is an icon no matter what she releases.I like the song in general and i will stop here.

 Sombr's "Potential" was pretty much shown from the start and his course in music shows that he is here to stay.The 20-year-old, real name Shane Boose, penned the track himself and gave audiences a first taste of it during his Coachella Weekend One performance."Potential" is the follow-up to "Homewrecker" and it's an uptempo alt-pop jam that will offer him another chart hit as he is preparing his new album.I like what he is doing promoting one song at the time in order to release an album with already hits in it in order for someone to buy.This is the right stragedy and Sombr is making all the right steps.

If i could describe how i feel about her she is a country pop version of Taylor Swift meets Sabrina Carpenter a combination that took by storm her country.It's not that she has bad songs i just can relate to them probably because i am European.Her new album "Dandelion" is producing one single after another that will probably become all hits exposing this album to huge sales.She is a phenomenon for 2026 whether i like it or not.Let's see how far she will get...

 Katseye are not a K-pop group, but of all the global acts backed by K-pop agencies they’re by far the buzziest."Gabriela" is by far their best song till now and it should have been a number one song on the charts but it has failed.Even so that was a song that you could hear over and over again in the future without missing it's freshness.I can't say the same thing about their new release. Alongside new single "Pinky Up" Katseye are poised to conquer a huge stage at Coachella minus member Manon, who remains on hiatus and has been rumored to leave the group.The new song mixes early-2010s Eurodance tropes with the group’s trademark engagement bait approach with the melodic parts being the most interesting element of the song.This is what youngsters will embrace cause the girls are hot right now but it will fail my playlist (sorry about that).

DEXTER & THE MOONROCKS - FREAKIN OUT

 While Ella Langley rules the USA charts making her the biggest success so far in 2026 her crossover on the other side of the Atlantic is rather explosive too making me wonder for how much longer country music will dominate music.But on the other side in places like Texas there are some different sounds that are interesting enough.Dexter and the Moonrocks are an American rock band from Abilene, Texas formed in 2021. Combining elements of country and rock music, they have described their genre as "Western space grunge" and their first chart hit "Freakin Out" is pretty much exactly that.The song incorporates elements of 1990s alternative rock and 2000s pop-punk and emo. It has been described as "sadboi country" but i will call it a southern Nirvana vibe.. It’s not "radio-safe" pop it’s more like a high-octane rock song that just happens to have a hook you can’t shake.For some reason i dope this one...

LADY GAGA & DOECHII - RUNAWAY

 Finally a good Friday when it comes to new releases apart from the fact if we have reasons to put them in our playlist or not.An anticipated film like "The Devil Wears Prada 2" always needs a good soundtrack with big names on it and  Lady Gaga with Doechii is a good start.Although "Runaway" is more fit for Doechii's brand the Gaga factor is present and for sure it will cause quite a buzz for a couple of days but apart from that this is a weak production.The powerhouse pop/hip-hop duo will not leave a mark in years to come but fans will be pleased anyway.Gaga really shifted her vocals for this one and at first you barely think it is her singing in the chorus but she is and you can use it if you are up to for a catwalk.

 It's common every now and then artists through social media to make an impact and become hitmakers in different parts of the world.The newest find is DA TI an independent music social media creator with no more info for now with his newest song "Take Me There" trending a lot.This is a low-key, atmospheric track that leans into emotion rather than complexity. Kanye West as as he is called now Ye is a complex personality with many psychiatric issues that over the years created more downs in his music career than ups.When he first started i thought that blending electronic music with rap made him a genious but after that he turned more to lyrical rap music with no particular interest in music forms.Well after years of false starts and delays he finally released his brand new album "Bully" with a really impressive song in it as well a spectacular live show at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles."All The Love" is a great song that reminds the early Kanye West stuff that made him a superstar and has a watch out star in it.Andre Troutman is the breakout artist of "Bully". He is the Music Director for YE and worked on a number of songs and appears on "White Lines" and "All the Love," using the Talkbox. Speaking of the Talkbox, he is also the cousin of Roger Troutman, from the early-’80s funk band Zapp.In a period that rap music with all side genres are on the downfall this is a great sample of artistic excelence.

 Once again and this time due to the Catholic Easter the new releases not only are few but they also have limited interest.One of them is OneRepublic's new single straight out of their upcoming seventh studio album and it's called "Need Your Love".There is an old saying that goes like among the blind the one eye rules and that's exactly what's happening here.Thematically, the song revolves around the value of love in a world full of material and superficial motivations and although you don't call it a bad song it's interest is limited.For now you can use it if it fits to your playlist but when major releases next week will emerge soon it will be forgotten.
