MARTIN GARRIX & U2 - FIREFLIES

 First with Madonna now with U2, Martin Garrix is declared the dj with the biggest collaborations this year.His relationship with U2 goes back several years. In 2021, Bono and The Edge were featured artists on "We Are The People" the official anthem for UEFA EURO 2020, while later that year Martin Garrix co-produced, mixed, and mastered "Your Song Saved My Life" which was included on the soundtrack for the film "Sing 2".Now i don't know if you will see "Fireflies" by listening to the song but my personal opinion is that this is above the average good for what it is.The song made its world premiere on July 17, as the finale of Martin Garrix's headline set on the festival's main stage in Boom, Belgium. In one of the biggest surprises of the night, The Edge took to the stage to perform the song's signature guitar lines live, while Bono's voice was heard over pre-recorded vocals, giving the audience one of the most talked-about moments of this year's festival.The song moves between pop, rock and dance electronic music and that equals to a big stadium crowd pleaser."Fireflies" is a hit!!!

KATSEYE - ANIMAL

 Did you miss me? Yeah i know shit happens but i m trying my best to keep the blog running as good as it should.Katseye are fit for more traditional pop since "Gabriela" did really well making the girls well known to audiences they didn't have.Theis brand new single "Animal" is an ultra-generic pop following no strong moves in any direction and conforms to familiar structure. Its melodic range is narrow and mostly just vamps along the rhythm.But sometimes this is all radio needs in order to keep a song in a increasing rising playlist.The song is taken from their upcoming third EP "Wild", due out on August 14 and the fact that the song is co-written by Ed Sheeran puts a potential hit stamp on it.

JACKSON 5 - ABC (DISCO DOM REFUNK)

 Now that this whole thing about Michael Jackson biopic has fulfilled the highest expectations by bringing back his music to the charts and money for those who gain from his legacy more and more djs are grabbing the opportunity to renew some of his sounds.For Disco Dom otherwise known as Dombresky it all started with a rave in a French forest. Dom (born Quentin Dombres) had ditched his nearly 10-year drumming career to avoid the unstable career path that surely lay ahead. Going by the name Dombresky he has brought his pulsating techno house sound to some of the biggest festival stages around the world, including Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Electric Daisy Carnival.His other persona Disco Dom, the disco-funk-leaning alter ego of Dombresky, and Dom’s newest musical endeavor led him to more disco paths.ASnd since this one is an official remix Universal wouldn’t trust just anyone to remix or, as he likes to call it, refunk "ABC" by the Jackson 5.This is good with the right amount of disco bliss for the summer.

 Now that the temperatures are close to the ones in a sauna what a perfect choice for Jessie Ware to release this one as a single after public demand.‘Sauna’ is the latest single from her sixth studio album "Superbloom" which peaked at No. 2 following its April release.The single is featuring the original album version, along with an extended mix and remix courtesy of Horse Meat Disco who recently collaborated also with Duran Duran for their "Free To Love" single.Horse Meat Disco is a DJ group made up of James Hillard, Jim Stanton, Luke Howard, and Severino Panzetta.  This is one of the most interesting dance new releases this week.Born in Haiti (of New York origin) Francis Mercieris an internationally renowned DJ and music producer, known for his unique sound that combines afro-house with traditional ethnic rhythms has released his debut album "Lakay" which means "home" in Haitian Creole.The project explores identity, belonging, and culture through a vibrant afrohouse sound.One of the tracks released as a single this week is "Take Me Home" in which Kah-Lo brings her unmistakable energy  alongside Mercier and Wyclef Jean.Summer is getting more and more richer in afrohouse sounds so take this one with you...

KOLTER - TRAPPED (RADIO EDIT)

 Entering for the first time the Uk charts German dj Kolter seems that he is having a summer banger on his hands."Trapped" also works for music educational reasons since this new version is based on the 1985 classic "Trapped" by Colonel Abrams.The original is considered as the precursor to house music and is referred to as a proto-house track and a precursor to garage house.Seek the original to get a masterclass of what pure bliss in dance music 80s era was in any case.This new version by Kolter seems to have a trending factor on it's side and it's growing fast on summer dance venues.

MADONNA - LOVE SENSATION (FLOORPLAN MIX)

 For Madonna having another number one album is quite an achievement although the singles didn;t get the needed chart success although they should.But Madonna's legacy is more than numbers and that something few can accomplish.Madonna's remixes have always been a fan treat and this dance record has already some.Two new remixes on "Love Sensation" will boost the buzz around her performance on the world cup final not to mention that djs will weaponize.One of the remixes is by Floorplan, the father-daughter duo consisting of Detroit minimal techno pioneer Robert Hood and daughter Lyric Hood, and the other, called the "infinite passion" remix, was done by England-based Austrian DJ and producer Salute.Need more to get you in the "Love Sensation"?

BTS - NORMAL

 There is nothing "Normal" about BTS cause phenomenons are ain't but their long awaited return few months back didn't have the needed chart success unless a number in the first week of release means something nowdays.Their appeal in crowds still remains but i think it's fading away as time goes by.Ahead of their halftime show among the biggest stars on the planet on the final of FIFA world cup BTS have released "Normal" as their brand new single.This may be a fan favourite song but to tell you the truth i wouldn't give any attention to the song if the name was different.

 First time i met Beck was back in the early 90s when "Loser" came out of nowhere only to become a Generation X anthem ever since.After so many decades Beck continues his lonely path in music with a fan base that supports every musical step he takes.Well Beck has announced a new album "Ride Lonesome", and dropped the haunting new single "In The Night" a return to the melancholic folk.This is the second single to go along with the album announcement. ADAM LAMBERT - AM I OK

 Not sure if you are going to be after hearing this one especially when you play it on repeat but eventually you will be.Adam Lambert's brand new album is achingly beautiful and deeply personal with this song being the heartbeat of the album.Like i wrote many times Lambert is an artist who deserves to be hugely successful in his own right. This album is a standout career highlight. "Am I Ok" is probably his best piano ballad song deeply emotional, a raw, relatable therapy, highlighting how his vulnerable vocals beautifully capture the struggle of pretending to be fine.This song is so honest with an acoustic skeleton that allows his vocal control and emotional delivery to take center stage.Best ballad i heard in 2026 and screw all media and radios if they burry this song.

MERK & KREMONT ft SERENA BRANCALE & THE KOLORS - PARTENOPE

 Let's take a walk to Italy now for one of the singles i really like for this summer."Partenope" by Merk & Kremont brings together Serena Brancale and The Kolors combining three different artistic worlds into a summer bliss.The ingredients are there....straight kick drums, funky bass, Italo-disco guitars and Meditteranian breeze pooring out in heavy doses.The result is a song that looks back to the great summer hits of the past but reinterprets them with a contemporary production on which the international dance music of Merk & Kremont, the funk pop soul of The Kolors and the powerful vocals of Serena Brancale all fit in perfectly.

 After all these decades watching and hearing all the new releases i can expect anything including this one.Two djs from Tel Aviv Jackie and Aviv Sab decided to interpolate in a new dance tune the iconic "Sexy M.F" by Prince.Yes you heard me right and take all cautions before pressing the play button.For Jackie and Aviv Sab, "Sexy M.F" was born during their very first studio session together after years of discussing the idea of making music as a team. ARMIN VAN BUUREN, SILVER PANDA - HERE IN MY ARMS (ENJOY THE SILENCE)

 The 1990 mega synth clasic by Depeche Mode finds a new melodic techno reinterpretation by Armin van Buuren who has teamed up with Silver Panda for "Here In My Arms (Enjoy The Silence)".The original is way better than this one no question about it as almost every classic that has been covered or whatever you wanna call it.This new version layers propulsive drums and atmospheric synth textures beneath the song’s familiar melancholy. The electronic music icon, who has spent his career shaping the sound of mainstage trance, brings his signature sense of scale while the rising Silver Panda duo infuse their pulsating sound.The release continues a long history of Van Buuren reworking classic tracks, a practice that has become something of a signature move over his career.I m pretty sure that this one will sound great in a big dance venue.
