KAROL G & BRUNO MARS - STILL

 This is not a very good week when it comes to new releases.Even the major ones doesn't seem to have the potential to keep "their fire burning" for a long time and that's why this year we have the least renew charts ever i think.It really makes me wonder how and why Ella Langley in The Usa and Sam Fender's "Rein Me In" with Olivia Dean in the Uk have spent so many weeks at number one.Are they really that good songs that deserved that?

After Madonna and Kylie's collaboration there is another one this week that it is highlighted.Latin superstar Karol G has managed to have not one but two major collabs on her new album.One with Bruno Mars and one with Drake.While Karol G has dabbled in bilingual features previously, "Still" marks a major milestone as her first full track performed entirely in English.The duet sits as one of the standout central anchors on her sixth studio album, "No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto"."Still" avoids the trap of feeling like a forced "superstar duet". Instead, Karol G and Bruno Mars deliver a genuine, heart-on-your-sleeve ballad that feels classic yet contemporary.The track expands into a lush, cinematic ballad complete with swelling harmonies (Bruno Mars once again proves how great singer he is) and classic soul flourishes.It grows with every listen even though it doesn't make quite an impression at first.

 Sometimes you start as a rock artist and at some point you find yourself among the biggest and viral hits in afrohouse this summer.Ankara Echoes is a Turkish indie/Anatolian rock project known for blending raw 1970s Anatolian rock aesthetics roaring electric guitars, live takes, and unfiltered vocals with contemporary alternative sounds.Originally released on September 27, 2025 as part of the EP "Echoes Of Anatolia", "Beni Al" quickly became their signature track.And then a musical transformation happened.An afrohouse remix by Turkish DJ and producer Kursad Kahraman went viral and gained official release in May 2026.This version became the dominant one driving tens of millions of streams and social media trends while other notable edits started to appear following it's massive success. Not on the charts (yet) but who says that charts show the real big hits nowdays.

SAM SMITH - WHEN HE'S GONE

 Sam Smith is trying to find his pace in music by releasing a new song which serves as the third official single from his upcoming fifth studio album, "Hazel Eyes".His path to more folk-soul sounds is a dare move that won't give him a hit record and he knows it.Maybe he is driven from an inner need in making a more personal album that moves in this direction rather than making a global success once again. "When He's Gone" bridges classic soul balladry with modern widescreen pop storytelling. By stripping away rigid metronomic production, Smith showcases a refined vocal clarity and artistic confidence.Do i like it?Comparing to his previous two singles from the album that i didn't even bother to write this one has something interesting that can really grow in time.
