 On March 27 we will have the new Cannons album "Everything Glows" and the second single is here as if from today.With "These Nights" Cannons fuse a disco-infected groove with shimmering pop sensibility.The track delivers sonic depth while exploring the overwhelming weight of existence.And as i wrote many times before this trio deserves more than anyone a hit that will induct them to the creme de la creme of today's music.Maybe their fifth album will provide this status as if for "These Nights" will definitely make your days (not only nights) a much better life soundtrack.

With her full album set to land on April 10th Jessie Ware releases her second new single "Ride".Interpolating the iconic theme from Spaghetti Western flick "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly", Jessie Ware conjures a tale of carnal desire.Now you can figure out why The Good The Bad and Jessie Ware fits her like a glove on this one. Like most of the times Jessie deserves a big hit that never comes although she releases great pop music in a world pop music is an unwanted genre.

 It's a common practise for global star djs like David Guetta to release alnost every week a new dance anthem.This is the way to stay updated with the fans and arm his playlist for the upcoming summer.And if one of those releases manages to become a hit then the boost in his career will keep him at the top.This new collab single with Kiko and Olivier Giacomotto uses the very well known Gregorian chants used by the iconic classic "Sadness" by Enigma but this time the bpms are in a edm mode that will keep the dance tension from start to finish."Prayer" sounds also like a mainstream choice too for radios that will expand it's spread out to the listeners.

U2 ft ED SHEERAN & TARAS TOPOLIA - YOURS ETERNALLY

 Yes as if from now this one is going to be "Yours Eternally" and it's a surprise collaboration that no one expected.Ed Sheeran appears on U2’s new EP, "Days of Ash", which was released, fittingly, on Ash Wednesday. It includes five new songs and a poem. Sheeran features on a track called "Yours Eternally" and you can hear him on the second verse.On the track is featured also an Ukrainian musician named Taras Topolia, who leads a band called Antytila. Taras, who became a soldier following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, inspired "Yours Eternally" which is written in the form of a letter from a soldier on active duty.Also on Feb. 24 will see the release of a 4 1/2-minute "Yours Eternally" documentary, which was filmed in December in Ukraine. Feb. 24 will mark the fourth anniversary of Russian’s invasion of the country.

LANA DEL REY - WHITE FEATHER HAWK TAIL DEAR

 Whatever crap comes to her mind she releases it.Just because she is Lana Del Rey that doesn't mean that i m forced to tolerate that rubbish to my ear more than once.I normally wouldn't blog this song but it's a nice way to focus my anger on her.For years now she releases songs that are in the same mood, same pattern and there is still an audience that likes them."White Feather Hawk Tail Dear" is part of her new album "Stove" to be released late May early June.I leave this to fans i m not gonna hear it again or pay to see her live in any concert just to hear her early interesting stuff.Maybe this is a kind of art i really can't understand.

It was right and became true.Eurovision song contest is my guilty pleasure and every year this blog makes some references to the contest songs.And this year's Greek entry will make a big impact even win the contest depending on what else will come up.This guy followed his dream end ended up from singing in the streets of Athens for a living to win the Greek national contest."Ferto" is already viral in Greece and expected to do the same ober the next months all over Europe.This is a fun song about overconsuming and struggling to provide his mom all the things that were never there in their family.The song and the word "ferto" which means "bring it" consumes you and stucks with you from the very first listen and every time you press the play button it gets worse.A viral dance, a fun feeling and a message all in the same song makes it irresistible.We are not looking at a great composition here but a song that can stay in our minds and become unforgettable.Therefore i love it...

CONNIE TALBOT - HAPPY TOGETHER

 Connie Talbot is another talent waiting to be discovered through social media and platforms.And the best way to do that is making covers from classics such as this one."Happy Together" was released by The Turtles back in 1967 and for us gen x-ers is more than just a familiar sound.Talbot's cover version caught my ear and couldn't resist the need to be blogged here.As i often say there are some great releases out there that will disappear with no reason at all although they could become hits without a question.Until someone discover it in the future this is a great addition in my playlist.

JP COOPER ft GABRIELLE - SAD SONG

 This Valentine's day i hope you loved your problems a little bit more cause they might go away too (faster than you think).In the 90s we used to make "Dreams" with Gabrielle but almost 35 years later all is left is a "Sad Song" a heartfelt ballad with JP Cooper. Thsong is part of JP Cooper 's newly released album , titled "Just A Few Folk" a more introspective and emotionally charged folk sound for JP Cooper.This is a duet with the ability to connect deeply with emotion, even within contemporary musical contexts.Nice choice and great reminder that Gabrielle has a great voice.

 I have more faith in digital sales when it comes to music because it's very different when you are paying to buy a song than just stream it anywhere.But when it comes to Tik Tok, a viral dance that comes along and the spreading among the audience i give up."No Batidao" in it's original version or slowed or reverb is currently trending with SLXUGHTER providing the vocals along with it's creator ZXKAI.The provided info about this artist is that he comes from Russia and his expertee is Brazilian phonk and montagem music.Now if all of that are accurate anything is possible in this world including Brazilian phonk from Putin's lair.

DANNY L HARLE & DUA LIPA - TWO HEARTS

 Includingcollaborations including Dua Lipa, Caroline Polachek, Clairo, PinkPantheress, Oklou, MNEK, Julia Michaels and kacha, as well as his own daughters Grammy-nominated musician, producer, and composer Danny L Harle has released his debut album "Cerulean". His new collaboration with  Dua Lipa is one of the album's central highlights, continuing the creative collaboration between the two artists that began during the sessions for Dua Lipa's award-winning 2024 album, "Radical Optimism". Euphoric trance synths with classical harmonies, tactile sound design, and Harle's own field recordings of waves crashing on the shore are what his first album's sound is all about with "Two Hearts" being a part of this universe.Not really impressed by this single but Dua Lipa's first new song in 2026 makes it a tempting choice.

 I don't need to hear the rest of the new releases this week in order to assume that the brand new Lykke Li single is one of the best maybe for the whole month.Don't expect new releases from big names this week but sometimes good songs comes from places you least expected.On May the Swedish songstress will release her brand new album "The Afterparty" and "Lucky Again" serves as the first single.When a song from the very first moment grabs you and keeps you captivated all through till end then you know you got a e favourite.Not to mention that "Lucky Again" could be a radio trend instanlyunless you got a bad taste i music.

 Illenium is a quite big name mostly in the Usa even though dance music is one of the less popular genres in the country.His sixth studio album "Odyssey" has been released and this pairing with Ellie Goulding has been released as a single.The album features moody melodic house, rock fusion, drum n bass, and his classic, cathartic melodic bass.The album is full with collaborations with names such as with Alna, Alok, Bastille, Bring Me The Horizon, Dabin, Dean Lewis, Elley Duhé, Emmy, Hayla, Kid Cudi to name few."Don't Want Your Love" is a rather trance radio friendly jam that could really work if it was given a chance.
