 There not too many in pop music with a career expanding for four decades and still going on.Apart from Madonna only Kylie Minogue done it and her achievement is hard to break.That's why a Netflix documentary about her career is more than fitting for the pop princess.A brand new song is heard in the final episode of the trilogy and acts as an emotional and triumphant climax to her story, capturing the light, strength and resilience that have characterized her entire journey."Light Up" is described as a grand, stadium-sized pop track about love, human connection and the power that can come from feeling truly seen and accepted.If this song was released back in the 80s it would be a number one song but this sound nowdays feels outdated.It fits perfect for the Kylie sound over the decades and fans will be more than pleased but there's no connection to what pop music sounds today.Do we bother? No...

DRAKE - JANICE STFU

 This week Drake released his long awaited new album "Iceman" plus two more projects "Habibti" and "Maid of Honor".The streaming services got multiple songs from the album in the highest positions creating an enviroment for the charts next week full of his sound. "Janice STFU" stands out as one of the album’s immediate highlights. Even if it’s still weighed down by another round of Kendrick Lamar references and Drake’s continued obsession with white validation discourse, the flip of "I Follow Rivers" by Lykke Li turns into this deeply euphoric auto-tuned warble as Drake slides through different pitches on the hook.The "Iceman" wall will be in full chart display the next days but how strong is this wall is in question.

ANOTR, 3DDY - LIKE IT

 When it comes to quality dance music then Dutch duo ANOTR is the first name that comes to mind.With "Talk To You" still buzzing among the top new tunes this month the duo reunites with 3DDY for the soulful and euphoric brand new single "Like It". Soft vocals and vocoder effects elevate the lively mood setting a playful and carefree atmosphere.Vocals, keys and percussion blend seamlessly, creating another satisfying and danceable hit for the summer.So when it comes to the final verdict "Like It" is less to say so add "A Lot" to have the full picture.

LADY GAGA - DIE WITH A SMILE (MAYHEM APPLE MUSIC LIVE VERSION)

 Lady Gaga's "Mayhem" live version of her latest album is a total bliss for so many reasons.I just wish we had also the studio versions of the songs that are different in so many ways just like this one for "Die With A Smile".The blending of electronic elements influenced from Kavinsky's "Nightcall" is an experience that should be in everyone's collection. "MAYHEM Requiem" with the reimagined versions of her songs immediately separates itself from the typical concert film experience. Her live vocals don’t simply match the studio versions. In many cases, they surpass them in ways that only a handful of vocalists can do.Not to mention how great these new versions sound and "Die With A Smile" is the perfect example.

TAME IMPALA, JENNIE - DRACULA (BOYS NOIZE DISKO VERSION)

I never believed that this song from Tame Impala could have so much impact in the music world this year not because it doesn't deserve it but because songs like "Dracula" usually are going under the radar becoming only fans favourite.Being a massive hit Jennie from Blackpink joined for a remix version (actually a duet) with this remix by higly rising Boys Noize exploding to space this week.By far this is the best version of the song making it a must have this summer wherever you are.Inspiring disco beats and a summerish fresh breeze on this global hit is all you need to start this week.

 Supposedly Parov Stelar didn't make a last night Eurovision performance his new single would have gone under the radar as many songs do despite the fact they are good enough for a major exposure.This is the power of the media that can transform any song good or bad into a hit.Parov Stelar is considered one of the most important representatives and pioneers of electro swing worldwide.The Austrian released his brand new single "Black Lilies" that maintains the signature elements that have established Parov Stelar on the international scene: a combination of electronic beats with swing, jazz and cinematic influences.Last night's exposure exploded the streaming of the song that finally will affect not only his fans.

GRACIE ABRAMS - HIT THE WALL

 For 3-4 days the power of media such the Eurovision song contest will make some of the songs from the final occupying the streaming services therefore the charts and the radios.Hit banger "Bangaranga" from Bulgaria was the unexpected winner of the contest and good luck dancing to it this summer just be careful of getting injured in case you use the choreography.

Now moving on to this week's new releases Gracie Abrams returned with a brand new single with the obligation to prove that last year's success wasn't just a shot in the dark."Hit The Wall" is the first single from her upcoming album "Daughter From Hell" out 17 of July and it's a characteristic indie pop song that often create frenzy on the charts.The song is deeply personal, and the meaning behind the lyrics is very emotional but kinda boring.Don't get me wrong this is a nice song and probably it will need some time to establish a connection with the audience but when and if it does it will be all over the radio.

MK ft POPPY BASKCOMB - ZONE

 Tonight is the Eurovision song contest final and everyone has a favourite song to support.The hits comes from Greece and Bulgaria if you want to party this summer.Best songs comes from Italy, Croatia, Albania, France and Israel and for months the bets are saying Finland (which i don't really like).Now there are some outsiders like Australia with Delta's perfect vocal performance but with an ordinary song and Romania's "Choke Me" a powerful and electrifying performance that could really make a surprise performance in the final board.Then you know how juries are voting which are half the result but the voting from fans will ultimately tell the truth.

Now house music veteran MK is releasing another dance anthem a new single called "Zone" featuring Poppy Baskcomb on vocals.Following last year's smash hit "Dior" ft. Chrystal, widely hailed as one of the songs of the summer, MK returns with another irresistible track that captures the spirit of sun-kissed festivals and late-night clubbing.This is a groove-driven production with catchy beats and a nice hook but in the end it didn't impress me much.I prefer "Ferto" for this summer!!!!

SHAKIRA & BURNA BOY - DAI DAI

 Every world champion needs it's soundtrack and Shakira has already done her part not once but now twice. Shakira has officially released "Dai Dai" the anthem for the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026, in collaboration with Nigerian afrobeats star, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy.The previous "Waka Waka" for the 2010 world cup was a quite succesful anthem for Shakira and now "Dai Dai" which means "Let's Go" is another chapter after her big Copa Cabana concert.Blending latin with afrobeats and a big opening show with Madonna and BTS also making an apperance this song will be all over the place the next months either way.This is one of the biggest new releases this week and the charts are awaiting although it's not a strong for the future duration song.

 When Martin Garrix begun producing dance music he was considered as the new David Guetta or Avicii depending on what way you see it.But things did not turned out that way Making Garrix a succesful dj and producer in the market but with no hits no matter what.Today one of the most legendary unreleased stories in the Garrix community first premiered during Martin’s sets back in 2015 was released."Repeat It" is a well produced song, radio-ready with Sheeran's aura all over it closing a real circle of waiting for EDM and pop music fans.This one will be on the charts next week but how far will it go in a world where dance music is basically on the dancefloors is yet to see...

MADONNA - I FEEL SO FREE (PEGGY GOU ENERGY MIX)

 It all started with Madonna when it comes to pop music.There is only one pop queen for now and to overcome her achievements in music you must be around for decades like her.Her first official single from "Confessions On The Dancefloor II" gets in the remix era with Peggy Gou and Paul Oakenfold making their efforts for now with some more to come pretty soon.Peggu Gou's energy remix is the one that causes the biggest attention for now making a complete make over on the sound of "I Feel So Free".The South Korean artist did a pretty good job on this one adding electronic elements with a throwback feeling from past decades expanding the connection Madonna has with the dancefloors into infinity.

TOVE LO - I M YOUR GIRL RIGHT?

 Svenska pop stars had always a special dna in music that made them have always a special place in the music industry.Well Tove Lo may not have received the chart success she deserves but after 5 albums she is well respected around the world.Time for her sixth album "Estrus" out September 18 with "I M' Your Girl Right?" serving as the first single. To tell you the truth i really liked this new single from play one with all these trance dance pop elements defining what a modern pop song should sound.Hopefully i will not be the only one to hear this is a song that deserves to be a hit and one of the best new releases this week.
