Unless Olivia Rodrigo's new single doesn't make it to the top of the charts next week then both number ones in the Uk and Billboard will remain as they are today. But even if it does, the dynamic is so weak that won't make it for a second just as all the Drake singles are going to fall in popularity and streaming.Charts are not necessary the only criteria to look for new music. There's plenty out there to pick from and this blog makes some suggestions in case you need them.

The legendary "U Got To Know" by Italian Eurodance act Cappella, originally released in 1992 is being brought back by a trio of producer-djs that know how to set dancefloors on fire. For this new version, Armin Van Buuren and Hannah Laing teamed up with German trance pioneer Wippenberg, who had previously done a legendary club remix of the track back in the day, helping bring the whole Eurodance legacy full circle into the modern techno and trance scene.The line between the past and today is once again very thin and you will cross it this summer with this one.

LOLA YOUNG - FROM DOWN HERE

 I m trying to stay away from AI music as much as i can but who will stop it from trending or being played on the radio or being downloaded. For now the charts are in favour of human made music but for how long? There are several songs made by AI that are trending out there while artists like Lola Young are trying to stay in the frontline of music business.One hit wonders have always existed and "Messy" by Young may be one of them.Her brand new single is an emotional soulful track co-written and co-produced by James Blake and it marks the beginning of a new hopeful chapter for the rising British singer. The song features Young's recognizably vulnerable writing style and emotionally raw vocals, filled with rasp and expressiveness.But in my ears there is no catchy thing about this tune that will make it spread to wider audience.And that is needed in order to have a hit...

Looking for a summer dance banger that will get you to winter to say the least.Well there you have it in the form of "Movin To The Sun".The song is already trending as the soundtrack of this summer and global Latin house force HUGEL is responsible for it.The song vocals are provided by the iconic Ultra Naté, and rising vocalist Imael Angel. The track marks the first release from his forthcoming debut album "Twenty One", signaling a new chapter shaped by marquee crossover collaborations.Hugel will be once again in the top choices this summer and despite the fact he has already released several productions i think this one is massive and ready to conquer everything that needs to be moved.Banger, banger, banger...

JOSH FAWAZ - SEXUAL HEALING

 The Josh Fawaz trending is very similar to what Cyril did few years back with his remixes.And while his "Like A Prayer" cover remix version is still among the most downloaded songs on i-tunes the dj from Brisbane Australia strikes back with another dance cover of a classic song.This time he takes on the 1982 classic number one single "Sexual Healing" by Marvin Gaye making his buzz over his name more intense.Just like Cyril dance covers they may never been high on the charts but they are still very popular than many number one singles and that's strange but true.If these kind of remixes lead you to the original versions then the job is done for everyone.

CHARLI XCX - SS26

 From the times i was writing about the rising star of Charli XCX without any real success to "Brat" seems like ages away.And after that came her ost era for "Wuthering Heights" that didn't go very well till she released "Rock Music" and today her brand new "SS26". It's a song about capitalism and the end of the world feeling we're all living through currently because of it, and that feeling is ultimately incredibly mundane. There's been plenty of op-eds over the past few years about the "apocalypse being boring" and I feel this song and production is aiming for the same tone.Once again this is a nice song causing mixed feelings but at least this one is over 2 minutes.There's no build up or drop because ultimately all this "end of the world" is leading to is exactly that - just the end and that makes it very weak for making a real change to the world of music.

OLIVIA RODRIGO - THE CURE

 While we are expecting her brand new album on June 12 Olivia Rodrigo gives another taste from that by releasing another single.After "Drop Dead" that so far didn't go as well as expected her brand new single "The Cure" is a five minute jam (rare in a world of songs under 3 minutes) is a soft rock that starts as a ballad with a building up that blends elements of pop, rock, and folk, openly embracing her influences. The lyricism is just great, with her struggling and internally battling with herself on her self-worth and paranoia. The chorus is just so well written, with her understanding that her lover is trying to help her figuratively suck the poison (or her insecurities) out of her, and she knows it’s the right thing to do, but she has a lot of hesitation that it will CURE her true pain.Overall it's a good single but i don't know if the radios will use this 5 minute song in heavy rotation.

 As if the Shakira and Burna Boy single for the Fifa World Cup wasn't enough another one emerged today with a highlight collaboration between Lisa, Anitta and Rema.This new collaboration brings together three completely different musical worlds, creating a project that doesn't necessary mean it's good enough to score "Goals" both in the field or the audience.This song may be used for some highlights from the world cup but apart from that this is a highlight addition in names for the upcoming album.Not scoring unfortunately...

KYLIE MINOGUE - LIGHT UP

 There not too many in pop music with a career expanding for four decades and still going on.Apart from Madonna only Kylie Minogue done it and her achievement is hard to break.That's why a Netflix documentary about her career is more than fitting for the pop princess.A brand new song is heard in the final episode of the trilogy and acts as an emotional and triumphant climax to her story, capturing the light, strength and resilience that have characterized her entire journey."Light Up" is described as a grand, stadium-sized pop track about love, human connection and the power that can come from feeling truly seen and accepted.If this song was released back in the 80s it would be a number one song but this sound nowdays feels outdated.It fits perfect for the Kylie sound over the decades and fans will be more than pleased but there's no connection to what pop music sounds today.Do we bother? No...

DRAKE - JANICE STFU

 This week Drake released his long awaited new album "Iceman" plus two more projects "Habibti" and "Maid of Honor".The streaming services got multiple songs from the album in the highest positions creating an enviroment for the charts next week full of his sound. "Janice STFU" stands out as one of the album’s immediate highlights. Even if it’s still weighed down by another round of Kendrick Lamar references and Drake’s continued obsession with white validation discourse, the flip of "I Follow Rivers" by Lykke Li turns into this deeply euphoric auto-tuned warble as Drake slides through different pitches on the hook.The "Iceman" wall will be in full chart display the next days but how strong is this wall is in question.

 When it comes to quality dance music then Dutch duo ANOTR is the first name that comes to mind.With "Talk To You" still buzzing among the top new tunes this month the duo reunites with 3DDY for the soulful and euphoric brand new single "Like It". Soft vocals and vocoder effects elevate the lively mood setting a playful and carefree atmosphere.Vocals, keys and percussion blend seamlessly, creating another satisfying and danceable hit for the summer.So when it comes to the final verdict "Like It" is less to say so add "A Lot" to have the full picture.

LADY GAGA - DIE WITH A SMILE (MAYHEM APPLE MUSIC LIVE VERSION)

 Lady Gaga's "Mayhem" live version of her latest album is a total bliss for so many reasons.I just wish we had also the studio versions of the songs that are different in so many ways just like this one for "Die With A Smile".The blending of electronic elements influenced from Kavinsky's "Nightcall" is an experience that should be in everyone's collection. "MAYHEM Requiem" with the reimagined versions of her songs immediately separates itself from the typical concert film experience. Her live vocals don’t simply match the studio versions. In many cases, they surpass them in ways that only a handful of vocalists can do.Not to mention how great these new versions sound and "Die With A Smile" is the perfect example.

TAME IMPALA, JENNIE - DRACULA (BOYS NOIZE DISKO VERSION)

I never believed that this song from Tame Impala could have so much impact in the music world this year not because it doesn't deserve it but because songs like "Dracula" usually are going under the radar becoming only fans favourite.Being a massive hit Jennie from Blackpink joined for a remix version (actually a duet) with this remix by higly rising Boys Noize exploding to space this week.By far this is the best version of the song making it a must have this summer wherever you are.Inspiring disco beats and a summerish fresh breeze on this global hit is all you need to start this week.

 Supposedly Parov Stelar didn't make a last night Eurovision performance his new single would have gone under the radar as many songs do despite the fact they are good enough for a major exposure.This is the power of the media that can transform any song good or bad into a hit.Parov Stelar is considered one of the most important representatives and pioneers of electro swing worldwide.The Austrian released his brand new single "Black Lilies" that maintains the signature elements that have established Parov Stelar on the international scene: a combination of electronic beats with swing, jazz and cinematic influences.Last night's exposure exploded the streaming of the song that finally will affect not only his fans.
