KAROL G & BRUNO MARS - STILL

 This is not a very good week when it comes to new releases.Even the major ones doesn't seem to have the potential to keep "their fire burning" for a long time and that's why this year we have the least renew charts ever i think.It really makes me wonder how and why Ella Langley in The Usa and Sam Fender's "Rein Me In" with Olivia Dean in the Uk have spent so many weeks at number one.Are they really that good songs that deserved that?

After Madonna and Kylie's collaboration there is another one this week that it is highlighted.Latin superstar Karol G has managed to have not one but two major collabs on her new album.One with Bruno Mars and one with Drake.While Karol G has dabbled in bilingual features previously, "Still" marks a major milestone as her first full track performed entirely in English.The duet sits as one of the standout central anchors on her sixth studio album, "No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto"."Still" avoids the trap of feeling like a forced "superstar duet". Instead, Karol G and Bruno Mars deliver a genuine, heart-on-your-sleeve ballad that feels classic yet contemporary.The track expands into a lush, cinematic ballad complete with swelling harmonies (Bruno Mars once again proves how great singer he is) and classic soul flourishes.It grows with every listen even though it doesn't make quite an impression at first.

 Sometimes you start as a rock artist and at some point you find yourself among the biggest and viral hits in afrohouse this summer.Ankara Echoes is a Turkish indie/Anatolian rock project known for blending raw 1970s Anatolian rock aesthetics roaring electric guitars, live takes, and unfiltered vocals with contemporary alternative sounds.Originally released on September 27, 2025 as part of the EP "Echoes Of Anatolia", "Beni Al" quickly became their signature track.And then a musical transformation happened.An afrohouse remix by Turkish DJ and producer Kursad Kahraman went viral and gained official release in May 2026.This version became the dominant one driving tens of millions of streams and social media trends while other notable edits started to appear following it's massive success.  I read an article today about how the music industry should deal about all these songs that are fully or partial generated by AI.Having a warning on them doesn't change the fact that songs like this one are getting very popular and if people spend money downloading them or being played on the radio doesn't change a thing. Decisions on how the industry should treat this phenomenon must be taken pretty soon but the future is already here and no one can change that.

Kimo Sounds is an independent electronic music project primarily focused on Deep House, Melodic House, and Afro House.Official video notes and distribution credits show that Kimo Sounds explicitly credits AI tools as part of the creative workflow.  For several weeks now i ve been watching the buzz and the virality of this track so i think it's time for some blogging about "Freaked Out". But who are these guys behind this viral hip-hop/electronic crossover.Fat Papi is a Kurdish rapper and producer born and raised in Aotearoa (New Zealand).Known for pioneering a distinct fusion of danceable synthwave/synthclub grooves, melodic hip-hop, and subtle Middle Eastern influence he is the first Kurdish artist to chart on the Billboard Hot 100.On the other hand Prodshushy is a beatmaker and music producer who serves as Fat Papi’s primary collaborator."Freaked Out" centers on high-energy club interactions, nocturnal nightlife, and unapologetic confidence. MAGNUS FERRELL - ASLEEP TALKING

 Another newcomer that needs to be spotted by the blog is Magnus Ferrell the 22-year-old son of famous actor Will Ferrell. His new song "Asleep Talking" is having a moment, taking off on social media and landing him on the Billboard charts.This is a rather slick soulful tune the kind music and charts need to be infused in order to bring back this genre back to where it belongs.Will Ferrell was a guest on Michelle Obama’s IMO podcast and played her the song, hyping up his son in the process. Since then, Khloe Kardashian, Charlie Puth, Heidi Klum and Ty Dolla $ign are just some of the stars who have supported the song publicly and the result keeps growing up.Magnuss Ferrell joined jazz band in his teens which he credits for his current groovy sound and when the world shut down during the pandemic, he had more time to focus on writing and producing music.As the songs keep on climbing the charts there’s plans for more music (there is also an acoustic version of "Asleep Talking") and a new single out in August, along with preparations for an album or EP.
