DISCO BAMBINO, NILE RODGERS & SOPHIE ELLIS BEXTOR - DANCING WITHOUT YOU

 Sometimes there is an inspiration that comes from the past but it's so new fresh and needed that makes you say at last. Italian-American DJ and producer Disco Bambino known worldwide as Giuseppe Savoni joins forces with two iconic figures of the pop and disco scene, Nile Rodgers and Sophie Ellis-Bextor. "Dancing Without You" links directly to so many memories from the past that i could fill this post with hundreds of songs and names.This collaboration combines contemporary production with classic disco aesthetics and sticks all together like a glue.Nile Rodgers continues to be one of the most important creative forces in the modern music industry making one collaboration after another mostly with European names like Sebastien Tellier or Duran Duran.Either way charting or not this is one of my summer jams and you probably you should too...

MAJESTIC & SPANDAU BALLET - GOLD

Let me start by saying that Spandau Ballet's "Gold" is one of my most beloved songs of the 80s and the 12 inch version one of  my favourite maxi singles i own.The song was released back in 1983 and this week award-winning DJ, producer and broadcaster Majestic has released a brand-new remix of this iconic hit. His new take on "Gold" celebrates the song’s enduring status as one of Britain’s greatest sporting anthems.The remix arrives just in time for a summer of major sporting events, including the World Cup.But even so in a world where new music has a less quality status bringing back classics like this one is always a great opportunity for young people to discover the true "Gold"!!!

HUGEL, FRENCH MONTANA, DAVID GUETTA & AIDAN MARTIN - SHINE

 Recently he made a live show in my country but i didn't have the opportunity to attend although he is one of the few dj i would love to see live.Marseille-born producer HUGEL has the tunes of the summer once more and his brand new shines as the centerpiece of HUGEL’s new album.The track is a masterclass in the intersection of polished pop sensibility and gritty house production. HUGEL’s production style, which often leans into Latin-house rhythms, is here tempered by the sharp, driving percussion associated with Guetta’s recent chart-dominance. The inclusion of French Montana adds a rhythmic, hip-hop-influenced cadence to the track, while Aidan Martin provides the emotive, breathy vocals that give the song its core narrative.In other words this collaboration is already one of my favourite anthems for the summer.

SOMBR - MY BODY ISN'T READY

 My body is always ready but Sombr's isnt..."My Body Isn’t Ready" examines what it’s like to live with low self-esteem and insanely high body insecurities.The live instruments give the song a rich and full sound, while Sombr matches the song’s intensity with his unfailing vocals. Completely self-penned and co-produced by Sombr, "My Body Isn’t Ready" follows the release of "Homewrecker" and "Potential".To play this out visually, Sombr recruited Obsession’s Inde Navarrette to play the lover he’s so anxiously running away from because of his low self-esteem.Sombr once again stays true to his musical path that gave him his status in today's music.Good song but it didn't consume me...

THE ROLLING STONES - JEALOUS LOVER

 As "Foreign Tongues" is set to arrive on July 10 two new songs from the eternal Rolling Stones have been released."Jealous Lover" is the one that is being promoted with Steve Winwood on piano and organ while on the other one "Divine Intervention" is featuring Robert Smith by The Cure.On "Jealous Lover" Mick Jaggers falsetto in the beggining sounds a lot like the ones Prince used in so many of his songs which sounds really cool.This is the perfect example of the Stones’ effortless ability to switch between styles, as they glide from the pop-rock dynamism of "In The Stars" to this soulful groove. "Jealous Lover" continues the band’s lifelong love affair with R&B, as Mick delivers a "hands off" message to an over-inquisitive partner with such whip-smart lyrics as "You pray like a mantis, you’re emerald green". And this is why this band has been for decades the greatest rock band ever and as long as they can they will share their music with the world expanding their legacy.

 Benson Boone is probably having the time of his life the last couple of years as he manages to maintain in the spotlight of music.His brand new single is "The Time of My Life" a song that balances between the dynamic rock aesthetic and the emotional sensitivity that characterizes his performances.In the video for the song Boone stars alongside popular influencer Alix Earle with the two playing a couple in a medieval love story that unfolds on the stage of a theater."The Time of My Life" is Benson Boone’s first new single since the release of his second album "American Heart" which means he is moving on to something new.The song has all the characteristics that the charts, radios, and social media need for the song to work and establish a good status on the charts the next weeks.

Madonna continues to promote her brand new album by releasing the FIFA version of "Read My Lips" and adding it at the bonus version of "FIFA's "World Cup" album. But not only that....She released new versions of her three previous singles from "Confessions II" album keeping the buzz going.Besides today she has a Graham Norton appearence with Kylie Minogue as a guest on a comedy sketch. Those who watched the short film "Confessions II – The Film" earlier this month had already heard snippets of the song with this version for FIFA being different from the one on the "Confessions II" album.The "Queen of Pop" will participate alongside BTS and Shakira in the first halftime show ever to be held at a World Cup final, on July 19 at MetLife Stadium, marking a historic moment for the tournament.As for Colombian star Feid being beside her is a huge moment for his career that he will always treasure.Read her lips she is here stronger than ever so....shut your mouth!!!

KATY PERRY - WATCH IT BURN

 I ll watch it but what is about to burn? Katy Perry's career when it comes to chart success is long gone although "The One That Got Away" went viral due to a viral trend lately. Her brand new single "Watch It Burn" is a good single that gets her in touch with her early inner self.It's an introspective, angry pop track where she sings about putting herself first and letting the past go.Maybe because Perry is now in a relationship with Justin Trudeau, whom she called "the love of my life" (how many said that before) until she watch it burn as life proves it over and over again with some exceptions.Good single let's see if she still has the ability to touch the audience today.

ROLE MODEL - HIGH HOPES 3000

 They say that if you try really hard and never give up maybe at some point you ll be rewarded.Tucker Harrington Pillsbury known professionally as Role Model is an American singer-songwriter and former rapper!!! "High Hopes 3000" by Role Model is a vibrant, retro-inspired track that blends country with pop in a catchy way that seems to be working. Serving as the lead single for his album "Chuck Timely & The Hourglass", this song might be his ticket to stardome and why not a new "role model" in music. And because i am too old for this music planet but too young (still) to remember i can't ignore the fact that "High Hopes 3000" reminds me a lot "Achy Breaky Heart" by Billy Ray Cyrus (yes Miley's father) one of the first country songs that hit #1 on Billboard.

 Here comes another Tik Tok trend that may or may not blow up the next days and weeks.Their breakout collaborative anthem between these two is emerging fast right now. The track merges motivational, confident hip-hop lyrics with an infectious beat that has gone highly viral as a TikTok and night-drive sound trend.STOSLIV is a contemporary hip-hop musician and artist originally from Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine.LOVIXX (or Siza Lovix) is a rising hip-hop and Afrobeat musician.They frequently these guys collab and "Don't Tell Your Dreams" is the one that stands out and the one that may change their lives.As I often say when something has an appeal in people i am not here to judge their choices.Only if i like it or not.Well not to crazy about it but ok...

ADAM TEN - I NEVER KNEW

 Among the biggest hits in dance music right now is "I Never Knew" by Adam Ten.I m not quite a fan of "autistic" tracks that repeat the same thing all the way but some find them easy to consume."I Never Knew" is a tech house heater that reimagines the 1998 Faith Evans R&B classic "Love Like This". It features the original vocal hook paired with a driving, atmospheric groove that feels both nostalgic and addictive as it seems to many. Universally praised by critics and DJs, the track operates perfectly whether you are listening at a summer house party or out on a club dance floor.Who am I to disagree....

DOUBLESPEAK - I CAN'T ESCAPE MYSELF

 Doublespeak is a synth-pop supergroup formed by Erasure -Yazoo-Depeche Mode's Vince Clarke, Blancmange’s Neil Arthur, and electronic producer Benge. And if you are not familiar with these names then you have a huge gap in your musical compass that needs an upgrade.But for us Gen x-ers electronic music begun with these guys that formed this group to create an album full of electronic covers.Their self-titled debut album is an eclectic collection of 11 reinterpretations spanning four decades of post-punk, pop, and electronic music, including covers of tracks by ABBA, Fad Gadget, and The Carpenters. The album is not a traditional "covers" album, but rather a re-imagining of songs that shaped the trio's musical DNA.If you are a fan of synth-pop this is a must have album that will bring back memories of an era that can not be repeated.From this album i chose their cover on The Sound's "I Can't Esxape Myself" an anthem that defined our youth in so many ways.

SLEEP THEORY - BYE BYE BYE

If you want to predict the hits you don't need the charts so much in our days cause TikTok is on charge when it comes to popular music.Now if you have both factors in a song then you have a global hit made for immortality and the classic status.There are three categories in music.The chart hits that eventually can become TikTok hits also, the TikTok hits that can become chart hits (or not) and nomad music that circulates here and there with the hope one day they can reach one of the previous two.

Now Sleep Theory a rock band from Memphis, Tennessee made a rock cover of NSYNC's "Bye Bye Bye" with big riffs banging on the 90's pop classic making it instant noticable.This newly released studio version that so far has been a live fan favourite has the same slickness and catchiness of the original.The band currently taking in Europe’s festivals creating a supernova of hype and this one is probably one of the crowd pleasers.I really like this cover....

CHAKA KHAN & SNOOP DOGG - BOOGIE'S IN MY SOUL

  "Boogie’s in My Soul" is the second single off Khan’s upcoming album, "Chakzilla".The collab between the two legends is a high-energy dance-pop track that opens with Snoop’s take on Melle Mel’s iconic "Chaka Khan" chant from her 1984 single, "I Feel for You".The song brings together two different generations and musical schools, combining Chaka Khan's distinctive voice with Snoop Dogg's relaxed and recognizable style.Chaka Khan over the years had collaborations with the creme de la creme of the music like Prince, Stevie Wonder , Quincy Jones , Mary J. Blige , Ariana Grande and Sia.It will be nice to see songs like that entering the charts once again at some point cause the quality never left icons like that.
