 Another newcomer that needs to be spotted by the blog is Magnus Ferrell the 22-year-old son of famous actor Will Ferrell. His new song "Asleep Talking" is having a moment, taking off on social media and landing him on the Billboard charts.This is a rather slick soulful tune the kind music and charts need to be infused in order to bring back this genre back to where it belongs.Will Ferrell was a guest on Michelle Obama’s IMO podcast and played her the song, hyping up his son in the process. Since then, Khloe Kardashian, Charlie Puth, Heidi Klum and Ty Dolla $ign are just some of the stars who have supported the song publicly and the result keeps growing up.Magnuss Ferrell joined jazz band in his teens which he credits for his current groovy sound and when the world shut down during the pandemic, he had more time to focus on writing and producing music.As the songs keep on climbing the charts there’s plans for more music (there is also an acoustic version of "Asleep Talking") and a new single out in August, along with preparations for an album or EP.  Nope!!! I really tried to connect with the brand new Ariana Grande album but i really couldn't.I found it extremely boring and a rather dark one for her status.From "Eternal Sunshine" to this is a long way but every artist deserves an artistic turn or dark nood.I really couldn't find at least one song to seperate from the others so i ll stick to her brand new single "Petal". The song serves as a personal statement about her artistic journey, reminding us that despite the hardships and intense exposure, music remains her constant point of reference. Combining pop aesthetics with more experimental approaches, personal lyrics and intense emotional charge Grande looks back at her relationship with the public, revealing her desire to continue creating on her own terms.She is free to do it but i m also free to feel that i can't connect...

 According to Cardi B her first new single in 2026 belongs everywhere from weddings to funerals with a pit stop at the clubs.Just wear a swim suit like hers and leave it all to "Ah Ha".The song is the kind of aggressive, no-filter energy that’s kept her at the top of the rap game for years.On the track, Cardi takes a political stance that’s become increasingly central to her public persona.She raps about "Black trucks at the club, look like Trump in this b####” and follows it with a direct "f### him".I must admit that this is a catchy song that could lead to a top 10 action after a very long time.So far it’s unclear if "Ah Ha" is the launch of a new era or a one-off release.

SWEDISH HOUSE MAFIA & LYKKE LI - HAPPINESS IS SO SAD

 Collaborations are always interesting not only because of the frontline but also who's behind it.Swedish House Mafia have released an official studio version of their Lykke Li collaboration "Happiness Is So Sad". The track was produced by Swedish House Mafia alongside PARISI and Fred Again.., and was recorded in Stockholm. Additionally, superstar songwriter Max Martin contributed to the track.And now that you have the whole line up let's pretend that the result worths all these mega stars together.Nice intro that leeds to the main dance idea that doesn't bloom to my ears.Maybe i was expecting more and i didn't get it not that the outcome is not worth listening to.

KIRALY VIKTOR - SORRY NOT SORRY

 Is making soul music a smart move for your career. You bet it is cause sooner or later crooning soul will find it's place once again.Keep an eye on Kiraly Viktor  a Hungarian-American rapper, singer, and songwriter that has made quite an entrance in my acoustic field with "Sorry Not Sorry".Taken from his recently released album "My Name Is Viktor", this song is not just about the price of fame, but also a shift back to his soulful origins. Dipped in a retro smoothness, it’s the laidback rhythm, mellow horns and his vocal warmth that make this tune sound authentically velvety.Quite impressed by his sound let's just hope this is not a firework cause tracks like this one is very much needed (at least for me).

After becoming a massive fan favorite during tours, it received an official release yesterday.The production bridges classic '90s nostalgia with cutting-edge 2020s dancefloor power.This is a masterclass in modernizing '90s rave heritage for today's mainstages.The classic vocal hooks keep the melody accessible, while the razor-sharp low end provides the weight needed for modern DJ sets.This one hits really hard making it one of my favourites this week...

 Two Swedish musical sisters on the same single can't go unnoticed.Ever since Zara Larsson became a pop icon wherever she appears things are getting musically hot.The Sexistential remix of her song "Talk To Me" now called "Talk To Me, Zara." and the result is magnetically attractive for the ears. Over simple and ethereal synth loops Robyn translates passionate emotion into a cathartic dance melody while Zara provides her finesse for a seductively enchanting hook.This is what pure pop sounds today even though her impact is less to the audience.

With Shakira daring Sam Fender and Olivia Dean for the Uk number one next Friday denying them the record for the song with the most weeks at number one in the Uk things in music world are pulsating in summer rhythms.Behing music that was genarated by AI tools there is still a real person that uses the prompts but i believe we are not very far from AI charts or some kind of incorporation in the main charts.Imael Angel was credited on the major collaborative release "Movin' To The Sun", alongside French DJ/producer HUGEL and dance music vocalist Ultra Naté making it the biggest song of the summer.Is the fact that he is not using computer programmes but AI tools making him less producer than HUGEL?This is a difficult question to answer but the fact that people are downloading by paying this music is a sign that in the future it won't matter.

There are a couple of songs by Imael Angel out there that are trending more than many other by real artists so i will start today with "I'm Alive" that was pretty much the base or the main idea for "Movin'To The Sun" release.This dance anthem blends uplifting Eurodance rhythms, driving deep house basslines, and bright, optimistic vocal lines with a bilingual twist. The theme centers on vitality, celebration, and positive energy featuring lyrics built around feeling the sun, dancing, and experiencing renewed life.The transition between this one and "Movin' To The Sun" will be more than perfect if you are djing trust me.

 You never know if making music just for fun will make it's way to stardome making you a star out of nowhere.Pupsies is a female music artist who began making hyperpop/scenecore for fun in late 2023 at the age of 16.Her real name is Ella Kamgaing and her "Misery" single is a raw, viral lo-fi track that debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 80 and climbed to No. 62.Critical reviews highlight its raw teenage angst, catchy nursery-rhyme melody, and shifting electronic arrangement.In fact it reminds me of early 80s electronic arrangments from artists like Yazoo or Depeche Mode in their very early stuff.It  features a simple, repetitive three-note singsong pattern that feels like a dark nursery rhyme that somehow works.This could blow up over the next weeks making a huge impact in music and social media.
