PURPLE DISCO MACHINE ft JAKE SHEARS - FIRE & ICE

 After a couple weak i d say releases by PDM the modern nu disco wizard returns with a rather good new release.Teaming up with the iconic vocals of Jake Shears (formerly of Scissor Sisters) he creates "Fire & Ice" a track that embodies the pure essence of contemporary disco music.The track is based on Marietta's "Fire And Ice" from 1986 a track that even i don't really recall but PDM decides to give it a new aspect.It is also isa part of the series of dance collaborations that have made Purple Disco Machine one of the most recognizable names on the international house and disco scene. With a production that favors hypnotic grooves and catchy melodies , the song is a perfect dancefloor track with Jake Shears 's vocals bring the theatricality and sensuality that always characterized Scissor Sisters' hits.

 The easiest way to make more money from an album is to re-release it adding some new songs in it.Everybody does it but with vinyl records so high on price you must love an artist too much to spend more.Purple Disco Machine's "Paradise" bonus edition includes two new tracks with "Dream Machine" being one of them. Nothing fancy here by Timo, just a regular new disco sound with Alison Goldfrapp on vocals just enough to sustain the fact that PMD is the best of his kind.

 The first thing that came to my mind when i pressed the play button on this one was "Sunglasses At Night" by Corey Heart the huge hit by the Canadian artist back in 1984 or maybe "Cheri Cheri Lady" by Modern Talking.And i m pretty convinced that the same thing had on his mind when Purple Disco Machine was creating his brand new single "Higher Ground".This comes only few weeks after releasing "Beat Of Your Heart" with Asdis but the music industry can't wait for too long that's just how things are.Now teaming up with Roosevelt on this one is only natural but also is just like having a double treat at the same time.Today there will be also a documentary in German television called "Purple Disco Machine - From Dresden To The World", which i m sure i ll be watching as soon as possible cause there is only one disco and it's purple baby...

 He’s still just Ken, but now he has his own EP. In addition to dropping a new festive version of "I’m Just Ken"  Ryan Gosling and Mark Ronson have released two additional remixes of the Oscar-nominated song on Ken the EP.
