 It's not the first time that an old release makes it through today's music and the reason is TikTok (who else)."Surround Sound" is a song by American rapper JID featuring Atlanta-based rapper 21 Savage and fellow American rapper Baby Tate, released on January 14, 2022 as the lead single from the former's third studio album "The Forever Story" (2022).This song contains a sample of "One Step Ahead" by Aretha Franklin released in 1965. In late 2023, the song gained a resurgence on TikTok after a trend named the "Ceiling Challenge" was created. As a result this song is currently trending and probably get a chart position long after it's release.By the way JID is a very underrated raper but praised by the critics that should have been treated better.Now TikTok does it for him..

LA ROUX & BABY TATE - FEEDBACK

 Back in 2008 when i started blogging music La Roux was my very first post with "In For The Kill".Started as a duo their electronic sound brought back memories of the 80's and the duo was so promising.Then something happened on the way and the name La Roux was nearly disappeared from the music map with Elly Jackson keeping the name after the split. Recently Tion Wayne's "IFTK" sampling "In For The Kill" with the support of La Roux brought back to life the name and the brand.It seems that Elly liked this rap soul interpretation of her music so her brand new single "Feedback" explores the electronic soul rap of today.I think i really like this single with Baby Tate serving the rap part.It has a lot of potential...
