 Texas are releasing their first ever joint album and that is with the legendary pianist and songwriter Spooner Oldham recorded in Muscle Shoals studios in Alabama.It features 12 of their greatest hits, and two covers ("Would I Lie To You" by Charles and Eddie and "Save The Last Dance" by The Drifters) reimagined and laid bare. Stripped back to their bare bones.Now "Would I Lie To You" is a beloved anthem from the 90's by the American duo Charles & Eddie released in 1992 and their only really big hit that never went away from my dna and my mind ever since.This piano version may not be as good as the original but still shines by Sharleen Spiteri's voice...

 Future and Metro Boomin released "We Don’t Trust You", the first of two planned collaborative albums that are apparently coming out this year."Like That" is the track that so far stands out as it samples 1973 iconic Barry White classic "I m Gonna Love You Just A Little More Baby" and that's it's secret weapon.Although the track disses Drake and J Cole it's a good opportunity for youngsters to get familiar with what black music was all about many years back even through a sample.Kendrick Lamar gives a standout guest verse and expect a highest new entry next week on both sides of the Atlantic (aka Billboard and Uk chart).

FAIRGROUND ATTRACTION - WHAT'S WRONG WITH THE WORLD

 There's something wrong with the world today (and i know what it is).....were the lyrics from Aerosmith's "Living On The Edge" few decades back and nothing seems has changed.That's why i chose this song today cause you can change the mirror but not the reflection.Fairground Attraction had a "Perfect" hit back in 1988 and this is their first single in 35 years.To have the whole band back together touring and releasing a single, with a new album on the horizon, is a sign that some things, at least, are going well with the universe.Stick with the music and try to keep safe cause it's a jungle out there.

 I m ready for "Blue Electric Light" in May and seeing him live in August in Athens.Lenny Kravitz is a legend no matter what the charts are saying cause there is no trust on what good songs are out there.The musician described the vibe of the LP as "Celebration. Life. Humanity. Love. Sexuality. Sensuality. Spirituality" adding that the title of the album came to him late in the process of recording. "Human" practically overflows with upbeat and undeniable energy catalyzed by Kravitz’s inimitable fusion of fiery rock ‘n’ roll, slick funk, and cosmic pop.And that's what makes this song one of the best i heard so far this week.

 Some of Marc Almond's biggest hits were covers.Over the years the art pop icon recieved many hits and he continues to make music to our delight.His brand new single "Elusive Butterfly" is a cover of the 1965 Bob Lind classic from an album full of covers that Marc Almond will release on July 12.The name of the album will be "I m Not Anyone" and once more his mastery of re-imagining originals will be on full display.For "I'm Not Anyone" he is covering a wide range of tunes, including the title track by Sammy Davis, Jr. and Paul Anka.  Many albums from the 80s are turning 40 this year and Billy Idol's iconic "Rebel Yell" is one of them.On April 26 a new and expanded version of the album will also contain this unreleased cover of "Love Don't Live Here Anymore" the classic from 1978 by Rose Royce.With an intro similar to Def Leppard's "Love Bites" and a climax with Idol's voice over the 80s guitar riff by Steve Stevens.Everything in this release creates a chill on the spine and no matter what it will be on repeat in my playlist...

 Ever since i posted this brand new single by Jax Jones with Zoe Wees things were quite slow for "Never Be Lonely" and not even Pikachu could really electrify this dance jam.But things are different now ever since this remix version was released.Who remembers the "Cascada and Friends" remixes Vol. 1 album from 2008?  This week is a blind spot concerning interesting new releases in music but i ll try to find the best ones for you.I love Jack Black cause he is hilarious and doesn't give a damn about his image.This is the second time that will find him on the charts next week with a song from a movie.Remember last spring he became viral with "Peaches" the song from Super Mario Bros movie.This time he made a cover with his band mate from Tenacious D a comedy duo between him and Kyle Gass.What more suitable for the brand new Kung Fu Panda 4 movie than Britney Spear's iconic "Baby One More Time".And that hit hard for the two times Grammy nominated and one won duo besides Po's punches.Tenacious D haven’t released an album since 2018’s "Post-Apocalypto", but they’ve stayed busy in recent years with a steady stream of loose singles.What can i say this rock cover just took me by surprise...
