 Many albums from the 80s are turning 40 this year and Billy Idol's iconic "Rebel Yell" is one of them.On April 26 a new and expanded version of the album will also contain this unreleased cover of "Love Don't Live Here Anymore" the classic from 1978 by Rose Royce.With an intro similar to Def Leppard's "Love Bites" and a climax with Idol's voice over the 80s guitar riff by Steve Stevens.Everything in this release creates a chill on the spine and no matter what it will be on repeat in my playlist...

BILLY IDOL - CAGE

 He is a legend he still rocks and despite the fact he is in his 60's he is better from the most recent rockers.Billy Idol has announced a new 4 track Ep out on September 23 called "Cage" and this is the first single by the same name. Back in his familiar pop rock sound "Cage" is loads of guitar and party rock dancing. Young people should learn this sound from one of the best and discover on an upcoming documentary out probably next year what Billy Idol is all about...

BILLY IDOL - BABY PUT YOUR CLOTHES BACK ON

 The Billy Idol i knew back in the days would never say that but i guess we are all getting older. And because i know the sound and i can appreciate this kind of music i just wanted to blog another song from his "The Roadside" Ep i received these days. "Baby Put Your Clothes Back On" is the best one after the first single "Bitter Taste" which was exceptional. The rock is still inside him even if it is in a quiet mode..

BILLY IDOL - BITTER TASTE

 For us the elder Billy Idol is a legend. He offered pure rock at the 80's and made American airplay rock a genre when the term was excisting. And if the young people prefer Ariana Grande or The Weeknd or all kind of rappers Billy gave so much that few can accomplish. After his collaboration with Miley Cyrus he decided to release a 4 track Ep in September called "The Roadside Ep" and the first taste from this is the excellent "Bitter Taste". This country rock gem that reminds Johnny Cash can produce chills to all those who appreciate good music with no strings attached. He is an IDOL!!!

BILLY IDOL - EYES WITHOUT A FACE (POOLSIDE REMIX)

 Ευτυχώς που ο Billy Idol έκανε την ένωση της rock με την pop και την ηλεκτρονική μουσική γνωρίζοντας τεράστιες επιτυχίες πίσω στα 80's. Δυστυχώς με την πτώση της rock ο Billy έμεινε εκτός νυμφώνος αλλά δεν σταμάτησε τις περιοδείες αφού το παλμαρέ του είναι τεράστιο και τον κρατάνε ακόμα τα πόδια του. Η Miley Cyrus τον έφερε ξανά στο προσκήνιο διασκευάζοντας τραγούδια του και κάνοντας ντουέτο μαζί του στο νέο της album. Τραγούδια όμως σαν το "Eyes Without A Face" δεν ξεχνιούνται είναι και θα παραμείνουν classics και θα αποκτούν κάθε τόσο νέα υπόσταση όπως αυτή που του έκανε ο Poolside. Φρέσκο και λαχταριστό...

MILEY CYRUS ft BILLY IDOL - NIGHT CRAWLING

 Οι φόβοι μου ευτυχώς επιβεβαιώθηκαν και το "Plastic Hearts" της Miley Cyrus που έφτασε στα χέρια μου είναι ότι περίμενα να μου συμβεί μουσικά. Από τις πιο ανατριχιαστικές στιγμές του album βέβαια είναι η συνεργασία της με τον Billy Idol σε ένα τραγούδι που του ταιριάζει απόλυτα αφού θυμίζει την τεράστια απήχηση του στα 80's. Πιο Idol-ish τραγούδι από το "Night Crawling" δεν παίζει να είχαμε 40 χρόνια μετά την αυτοκρατορία του. Και η φωνή του....τόσο χαρακτηριστική ρε γαμώτο...Ακούστε το από τους πρώτους εφόσον είστε μέλη του Sound Fist στο Facebook...
