As a music fan i m also a Eurovision fan of course.Eurovision is a special song contest that contains all kinds of music and artists.Some are awsome, some are kitsch and some are traditional influenced both in sound and vision.This is what Eurovision is famous for and the audience expect that every year.Of course the geopolitical issue still remains in voting and often not the best song wins but hey the market is out there for the artists and many times especially the last 10 years songs that failed became viral hits.
Now "Zari" is the song that will represent my country Greece in the contest this year with the very talented Marina Satti.The song is a rather experimental folk-reggaeton-dance-pop jam with rap elements in Greek language mostly.If we focus to what music is all about today then "Zari" will either become one of the favourites this year even winning the contest or it will sink in the bottom of the list.What do i think? It will become an addiction among the young eurofans and it will create a frenzy during the live performance.Now older audience like me will probably exorcist this rather sound engineering combining sounds wonder but still will dance it this summer.Time will help to get used to "Zari" cause it is needed to such an experimental sound and when it does anything is possible.
