 Rhyme So is a unit of Shinichi Osawa and Rhyme. Shinichi Osawa a.k.a MONDO GROSSO, is a producer and DJ. Rhyme is a 24-years-old model, poet, DJ and track maker from Australia. Rhyme So creates cool and infectious music with cynical & witty lyrics and rap on disco, techno, and electric sounds.What drew my attention except the fact that Sophie Ellis Bextor is in it was the title.And yes i was right.This is a cover version of Malcom McLaren's "Deep In Vogue" from the iconic "Waltz Darling" album from 1989.This guy was a pioneer in electronic pop music from the early 80s who combined different arts in one unique persona.I can't resist to certain things so this goes up automatically into my posts.

 In my country Greece there is an expression that goes "I saw Jesus as a soldier" so why not.Depending on what you are on you can almost see anything.Now this is interesting since anybody can make music from home and go viral on Tik Tok for some reason just as long there is one.A couple Chris Sigl and Berthaju along with a music producer Nullzwei made this dance choon and they found themselves being in the center of attention.A lot of people are talking about "Jesus In Berlin" so expect this thing to blow up.What kind of damage it ll make is something to be seen but don't say i didn't warn you...

ADAM LAMBERT - GETTING OLDER

 I really love Adam Lambert.He has a great voice he is a great performer and he is underrated like few in the music business.Simply there is no Adam Lambert at the singles charts although he should.The third single from his upcoming "High Drama" album is a cover to a very recent song.After the 80s a cover to the 2021 Billie Eilish song from the "Happier Than Ever" album is his choice for promotion.I will dare to say that this cover to "Getting Older" is so much better than the original version.This Queen orchestrated version is pure bliss and one more to keep from his new album.I wonder what other gems are in "High Drama"...

 Talanted Swedish singer Zara Larsson is ready to release her third studio album and "Can;t Tame Her" is the first offering.The sound is so 80's using the "I m So Excited" that you can't ignore it unless you are born in the 00s.Mnek is once more behind the production and songwriting having collaborated with Larsson a lot adding the pop star another perfect fit for her catalogue.Making reviews after such a short time i can only tell you my first impression.Being an 80's pop kid i kinda like "Can't Tame Her".Could it be a massive hit this one? I think not but i don't mind getting this one on my playlist...

 My English may not be as good as i would like to be but you get the point while you are reading my reviews.Rita Ora is just as Balkan as i am but growing up in the Uk gave her the opportunity to become a pop star. It has been quite some time since her last hit but her Lewis Thompson penned new single has all it needs to climb the charts quite fast. With a music video where Kristen Stewart, Lidsey Lohan and Sharon Stone among others make a cameo and a nice tune what could possibly go wrong.Focusing in pop music that "You Only Love Me" serves this is quite good in my opinion.Rita Ora will return in the charts with a blast.

KSI ft OLIVER TREE - VOICES

 In a couple of hours it will be announced that "Flowers' by Miley Cyrus will spend a second week at the top of the Uk charts with no real threat present for now.Now this release by popular Uk rapper KSI may become a challenger for Cyrus next week for two main reasons.The first is the popularity KSI has in the Uk and the second is this guy Oliver Tree who manage to trend social and streaming platforms all the time.While "Miss You" continues to rule the charts in Europe in general "Voices" is a clever combination of indie pop with melodic rap making this single to have an easy access to pop radios.Among other things Digital Farm Animals is involved in the production of this release and is about the pain we experience in the aftermath of a breakup.A certain Uk top 10 next week with the ability even to debut at number one.It's too soon to say now...

 Just got my hands on the "Gloria" album by Sam Smith and my first impression is that it's a nice album.It has it's ups and downs things Sam Smith loves in his music.Apart from the singles we already know i think that "Lose You" is the best album track and a future hit.But till it will officially being released and promoted there is "I m Not Here To Make Friends' a Calvin Harris production that will served as a single.Also we have a ballad penned by Ed Sheeran and sung as a duet with Smith called "Who We Love" a profound single sometime in the future.Sam Smith is at his peak and "I m Not Here To Make Friends" has the latest Calvin Harris way in music.

 The phenomenon Pink is in full effect.The funny thing is that "Never Gonna Not Dance Again" ever since it's release it sells a lot (in fact is in the i tunes top 10 in the Uk as we speak) but the song due to poor streaming never made it as a hit.And this is what i hate about the charts almost the last two decades.And if the first single from her upcoming new album was pure pop bliss then the second one will also make you fall in love with her once more."Trustfall" with Pink....Great production great song following the steps of what pop music was all about and once again must be.

 One of the songs that are trending right now in the Usa is this collab between Ice Spice and Lil Tjay using something that last year was one of the favourite tunes in dance music."Ferrari" by James Hype ws based in a sample by one of Diddy's songs called "I Need A Girl (Part 2)" released back in 2002.Since this sample made huge success why not use it in a rap anthem and as it looks it was a great idea."Gangsta Boo" honor late rapper by the same name and was released just weeks after his death.Expect this one to climb at Billboard with expectations to reach the top 10.

AVA MAX - COLD AS ICE

 Ava Max serves more than decent the pop heritage although so far only minor hits was her reward.Is she targeting on her album sales and if a single makes it then this whole thing will boost?Releasing so far several singles from her upcoming album is a way to tease the pop fans to go and buy her album.And to tell you the truth i would in their shoes.Her latest offering "Cold As Ice" is a pretty good song for the pop world but the pop radios seems to ignore such good songs.Perhaps too many single releases confuses the radios and don't know what to pick.Just pick one....this one...it's a good pop song damn it.

 I was true when i first reviewed LF System's "Hungry For Love".I then wrote that it won't recieve the attention needed after a number one in the Uk with "Afraid To Feel".It was a minor hit for the duo who is about to release soon a new banger especially in the dance charts.Now Paul Woolford gave "Hungry For Love" this brand new remix with 90's piano feeling and some techno twists giving it a total different aspect.I m not sure i like this view either although i love Paul's work.

 Hailing from Beatport's number one spot "What You Say" from Amsterdam based dj Young Marco is already making waves among dance lovers.Now this is different from the rest in many ways.With distorted vocals that reminded me "O Superman" by Laurie Anderson back in 1982 and a mix of electronic and house vibes "What You Say" is distinguished.Of course it samples the 2005 "Hide & Seek" by Imogen Heap and for that reason there is a great chance to chart at some point and be used by radio stations first at Europe and see where it goes from there.Anything can happen with this one...

AMPERSOUNDS - PERSONAL JESUS

 While we are waiting for the brand new Depeche Mode singles and album there are several releases that are using some of their classics.Alok Sigala and Ellie Goulding in "All By Myself" they used a sample from "Enjoy The Silence" while this duo Ampersounds are making a re edition remix (call it what you want) of their iconic "Personal Jesus". Ampersounds are a collaboration between Fred Falke and Zen Freeman and so far they are making only re editions.They have done "Burning Down The House" by Talking Heads, one for Bronski Beats "Why" and Phil Collins "In The Air Tonight".As it wasn't iconic enough this electronic touch by Ampersounds is currently on repeat in my playlist.Pffff dope dope dope...

 Last year her debut album won the Hundai Mercury Prize and she was nominated for Best New Artist, Album Of The Year and Best British Female solo.All these for critics choice in the Uk Arlo Parks.The truth is that her music wasn't commercial that's why only her album managed to reach at number 3.But now Arlo Parks she is releasing her most pop single yet called "Weightless" as the first single from her upcoming album "My Soft Machine" due to late May.Since songs like the ones from SZA are beginning to become worldwide hits i can't see the reason why "Wheightless" should be ignored.But you know how things are in promotion.Only Tik Tok could change things to really good songs like this one.

And guess what today is Dolly Parton's birthday who recently have joined the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame cause she had offered so much in music all these decades and she still does.Later today is going to release another new single but for now let's stick to "Gonna Be You".Now let's begin with Belinda Carlisle the iconic Go Go's singer who soon is going to release a brand new single after years away.Then we have Cyndi Lauper the perfect "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" pop girl with massive hits in the 80's and 90s.Who doesn't love Gloria Estefan the first female latin star long before JLO and all the others.And finally the mega Blondie singer Debbie Harry that shaped all other pop rock female singers.All these female personas are under this Dianne Warren composition but the result apart from all this galaxy is poor.But just seeing this line up is dazzling.

 Pop fans especially youngsters will go out and buy this one on every format it will be released cause this is what pop music is all about nowdays.Mimi Webb's debut album "Amelia" will be out early March and till then "Red Flags" will be making some waves in the charts especially in the Uk.I won't say that this is a bad single but it's not pop fantastic either.My modjo says that this might be a grower during repeat plays but will i repeat it since i have tons of other songs to hear?For a start i could easily see "Red Flags" a Uk top 20 hit...
