CLAPTONE, HANNAH BOLEYN - BLACK & GOLD

 This pair is hard to beat and the result is one of the best (so far) new releases in dance music this week.Claptone needs no introduction a regular visitor on my blog.On the other hand Hannah Boleyn keeps rising with one great tune after another. With multiple collaborations with names like John Summit, Billie Gillies, D.O.D and one of the best cover version last year on "Teardrops" i was expecting "Black & Gold" being just as good as it is.This is propably going to be overlooked by the charts but do a favour in your playlist and add it.Both radio friendly and mainstream is a combination you can't ignore..

I know you like dance music (i know i do) so what i think you have to know about this genre, every week you ll find my totally objective opinion on what i find interesting enough.I also know that you like Claptone who has his own audience maybe not as big as other superstar djs but good enough for everyone's playlist.His brand new single has Raphaella on vocals and apart from the fact it creates good feel vibes, the melodic disco house frequencies will put you in a dance mood no question about it.Not many music blogs will suggest you this one but i do.Prove me wrong...

CLAPTONE ft MAN PARRISH - FLASHDANCE

 I love the fact that music always is giving me a reason to talk about the past.Either these are songs or artists somehow the past always lives and comes back to haunt us in a good way.You all know Claptone and his music but how many of you know Man Parrish.Well this guy pretty much helped create and define electro in the early 80s.His biggest chart hit was in the Uk with Man 2 Man and the iconic gay anthem "Male Stripper". Well collaborating with Claptone and his new single "Flashdance" was a kind of surprise to me cause i never thought he was still in the business.Not the best Claptone release but still this sounds so much better than many of the chart hits out there.

CLAPTONE - EUPHORIA (EXTENDED MIX)

 The guy with the golden pointed nose is back!!!He launches his own label, Golden Recordings and releases "Euphoria" celebrating House Music and its everlasting golden era with a vintage keyboard riff to an infectious house groove. In "Euphoria" the relentless piano line lifts you higher and higher in a feeling of pure bliss and happiness up until the drop, the climax so to speak.Claptone is a party starter dj and fails to dissapoint.

 Alison Goldfrapp decided to launch her solo career in 2023 going seperate ways from the Goldfrapp duo.If they are going back together in the future nobody knows but for now Alison found herself a new mate.Beloved and overlooked German dj Claptone was more than pleased to provide Alison a "Digging Deeper" blending their synth fantasies in a must listen track.This is something that you won't find at the charts anytime soon or probably never at all but is all you need for a kickstart this weekend.

CLAPTONE & RUNE - CALABRIA (CLAPTONE REMIX)

 It seems that "Calabria" is on the loose once more. After "21 Reasons" by Nathan Dawe that uses the song here comes another one by Claptone to set fire to the dancefloors.What Alex Gaudino did back in 2006 using Rune's tune and the vocals of "Destination Unknown" by Crystal Waters creating "Destination Calabria" a classic tune indestructable in time is happening all over again. Claptone is very well known for his love to the classics and this release proves it once more.Ready for dance?

 After the Pet Shop Boys remix for "Queen Of Ice" here comes another one by the eclectic duo Andhim whuch sounds so 80's that even Pet Shop Boys would be jealous about."Feel This Way" single enlists the vocals by Mayer Hawthorne and the whole production will be enthroned in my playlist for a long time. In fact there are two remixes for this song but this one fits perfect to my taste.It's really a waste these songs fail to chart...

ODEN & FATZO - LAUREN (CLAPTONE REMIX)

 This is a music blog mostly for music lovers. It has some occasional visitors but only real music lovers will appreciate what it's done here. Many weeks ago i have introduced you this dance anthem by Oden & Fatzo. It could really make it to the Uk charts but it still remains a bubbling under track as well as underrated. But still that doesn't change my opinion for "Lauren" and so does Claptone who provides this massive remix just in time before it burns out..

 Pet Shop Boys are returning a favour to Claptone due to the remixes Claptone made for them. And it's such an honour for him a remix by PSB for his "Queen Of Ice" single. And the magic from the pioneers is still there making this release one of my favourites this week. So fasten your seatbelts cause this one sounds more PSB than the latest releases the duo made the previous years. What else except putting this one on repeat...

RAG N BONE MAN - FALL IN LOVE AGAIN (CLAPTONE REMIX)

 Rag N Bone Man decided to make his new album without concern about his previews success so he did what he felt he wants to do. And just because he made a "difficult" album he paid the price of no hits out of it.However this doesn't mean it was a bad album just not a commercial one. He tried with different singles and the latest is "Fall In Love Again". A good remix almost always gives a different aspect of a song so he recruits Claptone who is one of the masters out there for a dance edit of his latest single. It feels like it needed this whole new feeling..

CLAPTONE ft BARRY MANILOW - NOBODY

 Claptone's new album "Closer" is out and in it you can find this collaboration with the legendary Barry Manilow. This song is a rare song that Manilow wrote in 1996 and was perfomed by him only twice. I don't know how Claptone convinced him to collaborate with him or who's idea was to resurrect this rare piece but it was a perfect idea. It is always great when old meets new and Manilow has another chance to get close to young people who have no idea who he is. Well done Claptone and thank you for the music!!!

CLAPTONE ft DIZZY - QUEEN OF ICE

 We are one step closer to the release of Claptone's album "Closer" and his magical releases that usually captivates us keep on coming right before the end of the year. I don't know if we will have any more surprises but this release with the Canadian pop band Dizzy is very different from the dance vibes Claptone has all around his pockets. The seventh single release from his third studio album which is co-produced by the great Stuart Price is his favourite song as he told and a sensitive aspect of his endless musical talent. Don't forget the name Dizzy for the future cause they are going to make some big waves with their music...

SOFI TUKKER & JOHN SUMMIT - SUN CAME UP (CLAPTONE REMIX)

 My personal opinion is that "Sun Came Up" should be a big hit. I wrote it when i reviewed this collaboration between Sofi Tukker and John Summit several days ago. Now if you add Claptone on the remix while we are expecting many others then it gets more and more serious.While this may be a dj tool and good for dancefloors i still think the original version is better (sorry Clap) cause the melody is a weapon for the song and this remix removes it in many parts. Till next summer i think everybody would love "Sun Came Up"...

 There is so much great Claptone out there but we still want more. The superb "Just A Ghost" single with the legendary Seal, the remix he made for Elton John Dua Lipa's "Cold Heart" and all the previews back catalog Claptone is one of the blogs favourites. Get ready for another one called "Right Into You" which is also "great music".
