 The truth is that i had great expectations for this newly recorded version of an iconic 80's song that rules forever.Alphaville created a sound that defined the 80's and dance music and whoever lived that period like i did can never forget. "Big In Japan" was the party starter in disco dancefloors that everybody wanted to dance. The synth basslines were so unimaginable that created a culture and a significant moment in pop music.The voice of Marian Gold was unique and the band had several hits but not as big as this one.The song was taken from the "Forever Young" album and in 2022 we will have "Forever Yours" an album with their hits in symhonic versions with The German Film Orchestra Babelsberg together with some new songs in-never-before-heard symphonic versions. As for this new version of "Big In Japan" all i can say is that it's a faded version of the original as if time did what he couldn't do to the original recording.

 Sofi Tukker is one of my favourite dance duos and i became a fan from the very first time i heard "Drinkee". Their contribution in dance music although they had some less interesting moments is great in general and i keep that. Theis second album "Wet Tennis" is out and the title is an acronym meaning When Everyone Tries To Evolve, Nothing Negative Is Safe. Too optimistic as their music i will say. We have already heard some great songs from it with no chart feedback but who cares. This 80's beat that is being used by too many lately really gets Max too.In "Maybe You 'Re The Problem" you can hear that energetic beat that has roots in Aha's "Take On Me" once more that has been used by The Weeknd, Dua Lipa, Harry Styles, The Kid Laroi, Olivia Rodrigo to name a few. This patern has to come to an end at some point but for now this the sound that sells and make hits.  Last year Nathan Dawe made a quite breakthrough in the Uk with multiple hits. On the other hand Ella Henderson was featured on the latest David Guetta single along with Becky Hill. And since she is one of the most wanted vocalists in the Uk she couldn't say no to this collab with Dawe. This is the second time they are releasing together a single after "Lighter" in 2020. This time "21 Reasons" has a lot of potential to be a smash dance record and one of the reasons is the sample from "Destination Calabria" by Alex Gaudino.
