 Collaborations are always interesting not only because of the frontline but also who's behind it.Swedish House Mafia have released an official studio version of their Lykke Li collaboration "Happiness Is So Sad". The track was produced by Swedish House Mafia alongside PARISI and Fred Again.., and was recorded in Stockholm. Additionally, superstar songwriter Max Martin contributed to the track.And now that you have the whole line up let's pretend that the result worths all these mega stars together.Nice intro that leeds to the main dance idea that doesn't bloom to my ears.Maybe i was expecting more and i didn't get it not that the outcome is not worth listening to.

 Although Swedish House Mafia are not what they used to be they are still around creating music that many times sounds better in my ears than their EDM reign.Ahead of Swedish House Mafia’s much anticipated return to the main stage at Tomorrowland next month the trio of Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso, and Steve Angello are releasing their first new music of 2025 in the form of "Wait So Long".If there's a new album ahead nobody knows but "Wait So Long" sounds so good since play one in my ears.This is a rather commercial composition that could easily feed all radios and why not become a chart hit. You don't have to wait any longer and add it in your collection.

 Swedish House Mafia and The Weeknd have a long story together and a new track which can be found only on the "Pharrell Williams" edition of "Hurry Up Tomorrow" will eventually emerge one way or another."Closing Night' is new track steeped in the seductive melancholy that has defined their collaborations thus far.The collaboration is another addition to a saga that began in 2021 with "Moth to a Flame",followed it up in 2022 by co-producing "Sacrifice" and "How Do I Make You Love Me?" on Dawn FM, projects that further wove The Weeknd into the fabric of the electronic dance music world.

 This is one of the worst weeks when it comes to new releases but i ll try to review the best ones.After first teasing their collaboration with Alicia Keys nearly two years ago, Swedish House Mafia has officially released "Finally". Alicia Keys’soulful vocals are front and center on "Finally" from the jump as Swedish House Mafia begins to layer in soft piano notes that grow with power as the seconds begin to tick away.But still no matter how many times i heard this one there is no connection between me and the song.It might work for you so take a listen...

SWEDISH HOUSE MAFIA - RAY OF SOLAR (MAU P REMIX)

 This is a great release by Swedish House Mafia one of their best since their return in my opinion but it was badly ignored so far.Now if it needs a remix from the new blood in dance music like Mau P who is hot and trending then so be it.In this remix "Ray Of Solar " continues to have the primary flavour with the opera vocals which is great and Mau P just adds his sounds and technics as an extra boost for this great dance anthem.

 Swedish House Mafia reunion continues to produce new music with fans expecting a banger from them.Well their brand new single seems to be a huge dance anthem that will be played at least till X-mas since "Ray Of Solar" has the fundamental base of becoming an anthemic dance classic.With an opera intro that creates a beautiful music landscape soon to be followed by a piano breakdown and a huge dancebeat that djs will love to play and radios will put on the heavy rotation.This is the most maistream dance production since their reunion.

 Swedish House Mafia are different ever since they returned to music and some like it and some don't.Music changes and so are the artists.I m not really sure if their brand new single will work cause there is a quite amount of world music in it and dancefloors usually are not the right place for such releases.The Fred Again influence on "See The Light" is obvious and you know that there are many fans out there of this genre.Trying something else is always risky but i give them that...

SWEDISH HOUSE MAFIA ft CONNIE CONSTANCE - HEAVEN TAKES YOU THERE (JACQUES LU CONT REMIX)

 Some of their fans expected from the return of Swedish House Mafia a pure Edm sound like before so there was some kind of disappointment when they realized that they moved forward.For me messing more with electronic elements makes them a trio that evolved in their dance sound.Their collaboration with The Weeknd twice shows that for now they turned in the right direction.The release of their album didn't find a huge success as it was expected but that's alright as long as they are on the right path.'Heaven Takes You There" with Connie Constance on vocals was one of the stand out singles concerning the charts and the impact it made. It was quite a surprise to see Jacques Lu Cont aka Stuart Price messing with this song doing a remix.He takes it in a totally different direction  but i m not sure i like it that much.I have a big respect for this guy and what he did for music in the past decades that i can't overlooked it.

 If anyone sees how this guy creates his sounds and play them live then can truly understand why Fred Again is a genious."Turn On The Lights" with Swedish House Mafia became massive in the dance circles but never crossed the mainstream chart line that can rename a song into a crossover chart hit.On the other hand Solomun is the great dj that can play almost anything and still the crowd goes jumping no matter what.Now this combination between all the above is a deadly vibe soundwave that you can't avoid even if you wanted to.Heading for the summer this remix...Massive!!!

SWEDISH HOUSE MAFIA ft SEINABO SEY - DON'T GO MAD

 Finally "Paradise Again" is out and i d like to say some things about the album. Swedish House Mafia are going to close this year's Coachella with The Weeknd on stage of course and a powerful show of music and lights. The album is not what you 'd expect from the trio. It has different styles of electronic music and probably this album will get some good nominations at next year's Grammys.There are no obvious hits except the ones you know and the best track for me is probably the one with Seinabo Sey who sounds like Nina Simone in "Don't Go Mad". The song will be released as a single i guess at some point and believe me it's an anthem..

 It's an odd collaboration this one and the truth is that i didn't expecting it untill it was official. The idea was to use the vocals of Sting from the Police single "Roxanne" in a edm outfit.The truth is that the result is not good for "Redlight" which is out of place, out of time, out of control. It's nice to have such an idea but you have to respect the original somehow. Although the potential was excellent this is not a release that it's going in that form to get a success...

 There is no need to say much for "Moth To A Flame". You all know it i guess you love it and you think like me that it's underated in the charts. What you don't know is that remix by Chris Lake that was made not only for djs. I don't really think that it adds something to the original so we don't have to deal with an upgrate but rather something Chris Lake thought will be usefull more to the underground dance music...

 One of the most anticipated new singles of the week is this one. Swedish House Mafia made a comeback that was ignored like very few this year. In my personal opinion that was unfair cause everybody were expecting the same thing they did some years ago. But the truth is that the trio moved forward and they paid the price. The third single has The Weeknd on board and it expected to do better. The truth is that "Moth To A Flame" is not a perfect single. I was expecting something more but it's also true that i heard it only once or twice before making this review. There are so many bad singles that becomes hits so the comparison with this one sounds ridiculous. Still i was expecting more...

 Day by day it really gets better. After the first shock listening to Swedish House Mafia return "It Gets Better" is building inside me a feeling of greatness. Untill now the respond to both Swedish House Mafia's new singles is negative. The brand name seems not to be working or the fans were expecting something else. But still the power to overcome what you were releasing 10 years or more ago to something entirely new is something i really appreciate along with the fact that this particular single is really really great. This Retrovision flip is the first taste of the remixes that are yet to come...

This was officially by the press the new SHM single before "It Gets Better" suddenly hit the web.This sounds like the mainstream single for the radios and the charts with Ty Dolla Sign & 070 Shake on the vocals. If this one brings to mind the collaboration between Daft Punk & The Weeknd you will not be the only ones. I guess this one will be all over the radios in the next week and you will be from the first ones to hear it if you follow Sound Fist in the social medias...

SWEDISH HOUSE MAFIA - IT GETS BETTER

 Well if this is the comeback single by Swedish House Mafia it's not that new. There was an older version of "It Gets Better" which changed into that. We were prepared for another song as the comeback single but this is what you get. Well Swedish House Mafia sounds more like Prodigy in this than the old themselves. Let's forget for a minute what the trio was doing before and let's focus in this one. My personal opinion is that it is very interesting and different from other singles and that makes it a good single. Of course it will be very difficult for charting or radio playlisting but SHM have a name in the business and you never know. Is it getting better for you?
