THE ROLLING STONES ft LADY GAGA & STEVIE WONDER - SWEET SOUNDS OF HEAVEN

 What did you really expect when you first heard that this collab is coming.The Rolling Stones have released their second single "Sweet Sounds of Heaven" with a classic, slow-rolling blues vibe, as Wonder, at the behest of Jagger, lays down a smooth piano melody that melds with rousing horns and Keith Richards’ guitar. Jagger opens the track, paying tribute to the late Charlie Watts with lyrics like, "Bless the Father, bless the Son, hear the sound of the drums/ As it echoes through the valley and it bursts". Jagger is then joined by Gaga, who at first delivers restrained backing vocals on the second verse before letting it all hang out on the chorus.There is a full version and an edit version of the song two minutes shorter but those two minutes in the full version is when Jagger and Gaga are giving eberything they got in a epic duo battle that gives the chills baby.This is absolutely brilliant although today's music can not handle good music anymore.

ED SHEERAN - PLASTIC BAG

 He's done with maths and he is ready for a new era.Ed Sheeran is releasing his brand new album "Autumn Variations" and i just got a listen to it.Not impressed cause there is no obvious hit in it and the songs sounds like slow burners that will take time to reach the audience.Don't get me wrong i love Ed Sheeran but as i have high expectations from him i m equally square and fair from what i ve heard.It was very hard for me to pick one song from the album cause there is not a single announcement yet so "Plastic Bag" sounds like it will be my choice for now.The album, produced by Aaron Dessner, was inspired by Enigma Variations, an orchestral work from composer Edward Elgar created between October 1898 and February 1899. The 14 compositions each reflected a different figure in Elgar’s life.Now why he was inspired by him for this album i guess we ll know pretty soon.For now enjoy this one and let us give some time to "Autumn Variations" to see if it grows.

BLINK-182 - ONE MORE TIME

 It didn't take me a blink of an eye to review the brand new Blink-182 single but in this case rock songs from rock groups are hard to find in the charts or the high streaming positions. "One More Time" is the second single off their recently announced album of the same name, due Oct. 20.The "All the Small Things" group announced the track and their first album with the band's original lineup since 2011 last week.This pop-punk ballad seems (for now) to be selling quite well but unless there is a streaming frenzy for it it will soon pass like so many other songs.For me it sounds rather good for my playlist.What about you?

 Whoever reads me knows that i absolutely love Cannons.But that doesn't mean that i cant be square and fair when i hear something that doesn't quite fulfill my expectations."Bad Tattoo" is a song about life-changing moments that define us and how we hold the power to turn emotional scars into art, beauty and strength by owning our story, specifically the painful moments.Nice idea but the song doesn't have the depth and the ability to grab you and not to let go if you know what i mean.Therefore i consider this Cannons single a weak one from them.

 Not quite sure why "Rush" was only appreciated on the dance charts but there are quite few good pop songs out there to get the pop hit stamp.Australian Troye Sivan is trying hard to be a pop idol and his brand new single "Got Me Started" is in the right direction.First of all the sample from the fellow Australians Bag Raider's classic "Shooting Stars" creates a familiar background for the song to be played on the radio.Troye is strongly promote the LGBT community and the video for the song is once again "hot" and "sweaty".His upcoming album, "Something to Give Each Other",is slated for a mid-October release and i m curious to see the respond on this one.

 Normally i wouldn't bother to review this song BUT when this the opening theme from my favourite Greek tv series "The Beach (Η Παραλία)" and you hear it daily something magic happens and you dive into "Blazing".The scenery of the tv series is at Matala Crete back in 1969 with the hippies living their freedom at the caves of Matala and the locals trying to accept them in a close society with many secrets and desires.So "Blazing" is the music of that era that has nothing to do with today and that's the secret that finally unlocks any hesitations for loving it at the end.Alex Sid who also plays a hippie at the series together with Dimitris Nasios aka Quasamodo brings you to that very beach with this track with their music time machine.Love it...

 I think that after Abba only Roxette had such a big impact in music coming from Sweden.It was Sept 1988 when Roxette released "Listen To Your Heart" as a single from their second studio album "Look Sharp" and in celebration of that release German producer Alle Farben made this remix for the iconic and classic single by the duo.Unfortunately Marie Fredriksson left too early from this world but her voice and the duo's songs will always remind us our youth and an innocent world that no longer exist.Nice remix..

 Zara Larsson urgently need a hit and the chances are greater when you have David Guetta on board. The pair who previously teamed up for "This One's for You" back in 2016 returns with "On My Love".This time David Guetta doesn't use anything from the past by simply linking to himself and his signature sound.This is the secong single for Zara in 2023 after "End Of Time" released few months back and hopefully will get the needed attention although i m not really impressed.
