 She is signed to Katy Perry's record label and she is making an impression with her cover to one of the biggest hits of the 90's. Sixpence None The Richer huge hit "Kiss Me" has become timeless and this cover version is heard on the new Netflix movie "He's All That". Something so beloved from the past seems to appeal to the new generation too and it's so nice that this happens. Let's hope that Cyn's version will climb the charts cause these kind of songs can bring back to our ears good music in so many different ways...

 Aw it will be announced tomorrow The Kid Laroi's "Stay" will stay for a fourth week at Billboard's top spot while Ed Sheeran will move one place up at number two. In the Uk "Bad Habits" is expected to spend a tenth week at number one making this a really bad habbit for Ed. More from the charts in next posts so stay tuned.

There is something about this song in the new Gorillaz Ep "Meanwhile" that brings back to mind some good memories from the early 80's. "Jimmy Jimmy" is a combination of The Specials meet The Madness in a kinda rap way with the help of the superstar rap in the island AJ Tracey. Only Gorillaz and the Damon Albarn's musical mind could resurface this sound in 2021.

Sometimes genious goes along with madness and Kanye West seems to be both. I will not get into his madness cause anyone could use many things from his behaviour to prove that. His messed mind can produce great music most of the times and his new album "Donda" proves that even though he has not his approval for the release (go figure). Great collabs in it and songs like "Hurricane" with The Weeknd and Lil Baby can rocket sky high on the charts. I guess Billboard next week will be full of Kanye West on the Hot 100 and some of the songs from the new album will keep us company for the many next weeks maybe years...

 I know at least one person here in Greece that likes this song that much to play it on the Greek radio.In Italy is a whole different story cause Marco Mengoni has a huge success with "Ma Stasera".  The internet stars Mufasa & Hypeman after taking part at the huge dance anthem "Friday" by Ritton they are sailing away for another one along Dopamine. The last time a cover of "Holiday" by Madonna had a huge success was the in 1986 by MC Miker G & Dj Sven but since then i don't recall anyone trying to use it. The song is so familiar but i dont know if the guys still have the momentum. Of course internet will play again a huge role for the success on the charts so i guess we ll have to wait.  It's alnost obvious that her record company doesn't promote Raye music that led her in the recent breakdown. I ll never stop supporting Raye cause it's also obvious that her singles should be chart toppers since others were far less intresting and they did. SIGRID - BURNING BRIDGES

 I think i misjudged "Mirror" Sigrid's preview single and i have to apologize to her for being to harsh to her. After all some songs can be underatted from the first listen and believe me there is no time between bloging them and first listen. Mistakes can happen and there is always you out there. The second single of the Norwegian artist that brings to pop a quality time is "Burning Bridges" and is a good one. There is always time to let go and that's what is all about in the lyrics and if you have to do that then don't hesitate. Hopefully this single will get more attention although it's not a massive pop hit in the short term..

 Now that's an interesting collab as a billboard but is it any good? You all know LP the singer who is so underatted and became so succesfull throughout Europe except the UK and the United States. On the other hand we have Imanbek who still searches for the follow up success after his remix in "Roses". "Fighter" has the mark of LP's music and the Imanbek's dance beats just as much. CLINTON KANE - I GUESS I M IN LOVE

 I think you all know how Justin Bieber started his career. Nowdays is very common through the social media for someone to show his talent. And Clinton Kane seems to have a lot. Half Norwegian half Philippino Clinton hails fromthe Uk and on Friday he is going to have the second highest new entry in the Uk charts. Personally i think that this song is so much better than "Visiting Hours" and if the name wasn't Clinton Kane and it was Ed Sheeran or Lewis Capaldi things would have been so much different. Even so the technique on "I Guess I M In Love" is so much Capaldish and the song sounds with a strong timeless feeling that makes it maybe the new "Someone You Loved". Don't be surprised if this song will be on the radio same day next year just as strong...

 I don't know if it is true that Becky Hill is being "Only Honest On The Weekend" the title of her new album all i know is one thing. That she is working with the hottest dance producers in the world to create dance pop songs that charting high in the Uk creating a pop image of a singer that she knows what she wants.Curruntly she is flying high the charts with her "Remember" collab with David Guetta and before the hype slows down her new single with Topic this time is ready to conquer once again everything.  It;s been 22 years since we first heard this song by Sting. And when a legend signs a song that stays in time many covers will come in the future. It's very easy to play by anyone everybody will love it and most of all is so familiar to everybody's ears.  Blogging with sunday morning coffee is priceless.Hearing music and reading the news is a habbit that saves in this pandemic era just as long you have the brain, the education and the judjement to filter all these informations. ED SHEERAN - VISITING HOURS

 As Ed Sheeran is heading for his 8th week at the top of the Uk charts tommorow we ll have some new entries in the Top 10. The highest new entry will come from Digga D collab with Arrdee titled "Wasted" which i don't want to review at all cause it's tottaly british rap. Remember my review for "Talk About" from Rain Radio & Dj Craig Gorman? Well it's becoming a huge hit in the Uk as i predicted. The other strange thing is that after more than 8 months and as Tones & And I is releasing her album they remembered "Fly Away" which is going to storm into the top 10.

The biggest news today is the release in the late October of the new Ed Sheeran album titled "Equal". And if there is an issue with mathematical signs in his brain a ballad from it called "Visiting Hours" is here to promote the hole thing. Ed Sheeran does what he knows best which is ballads. The melody didn't catch me from the first cause it's something i heard before. Nothing new here and only if you can relate to the lyrics and many repeats on your speakers may become a favourite. Even so it's a nice ballad just that..

The second thing i want to say is that i can blog this song forever since it is one of my favourites of all times. Ans as we approaching the release date of the "Blacklist" by Metallica and various artists more and more different versions of this massive classic see the light of the day. This time we have a country rock version by Chris Stapleton who gives his own mark on "Nothing Else Matters". Really nothing else...

RUFUS DU SOL - NEXT TO ME

 Now that we know Rufus Du Sol are "Alive" we find out that they are in the best shape with their new single "Next To Me". I m not a big fan of multiple singles but it's a fact nowdays and i have to accept this. I like things come naturally and in order but "Next To Me" gives so much pleasure hearing it that i can forgive the music industry for acting this way. If you want to make the rest of the summer worth hearing this should be on repeat...

BILLY IDOL - BITTER TASTE

 For us the elder Billy Idol is a legend. He offered pure rock at the 80's and made American airplay rock a genre when the term was excisting. And if the young people prefer Ariana Grande or The Weeknd or all kind of rappers Billy gave so much that few can accomplish. After his collaboration with Miley Cyrus he decided to release a 4 track Ep in September called "The Roadside Ep" and the first taste from this is the excellent "Bitter Taste". This country rock gem that reminds Johnny Cash can produce chills to all those who appreciate good music with no strings attached. He is an IDOL!!!

MAJESTIC & NIGHTCRAWLERS - LOSING MY MIND

 Majestic after the revival of the Boney M classic moves on to a collab with the dance legends Nightcrawlers. They both enjoyed huge success at the charts and "Losing My Mind" is aiming for the exact same thing. The recipe sounds so much like "Push The Feeling On" and that could work either good or bad. The recycling in music cuts both ways and we ll just have to wait and see how it would work in the battlefield.
