RAYE - BEWARE...THE SOUTH LONDON LOVER BOY

 I just finished listening the new Raye album "This Music May Contain Hope" and in my early opinion unfortunately there is "no hope" for this project other than some good critics for the artistic vision of hers.This is more a "Broadway" album with touches of soul music and some blues elements.In other words this is a rather difficult album for the mainstream audience and unless she is keeping some easy radio play songs 'Where The Hell Is My Husband" will be probably the only reason for someone to buy this album. Perhaps the only other one may be "Beware..The South London Lover Boy" which sounds like an Amy Winehouse-Mark Ronson production and has some potential for charting high.Moving fast forward for Raye from this album will be a smart choice for her.

RAYE ft HANS ZIMMER - CLICK CLACK SYMPHONY

 Another single from Raye that will fail the charts.This one is even difficult to be played on the radio after "Nightnigale Lane" but this the cost when you are trying to make art.But when you have German mega film composer Hans Zimmer on your single a big "wow" is coming right out of your mouth."The Lion King", "Gladiator", "Dune", "Interstellar" are only few of the film scores we are all familiar with and making pop music was his early career since he was a member along with Trevor Horn of the group Buggles who released the classic "Video Killed The Radio Star"!!!I don't think i want to write anything more for "Click Clack Symphony" and let's just hope it won't contain any more experimental stuff from Raye.

RAYE - NIGHTINGALE LANE

 Ever since Raye took her career in her own hands with the risk to fail big time her "value for music" exploded to the highest level.Her "Where Is My Husband" single proved she can make a hit song anytime she wishes with her upcoming Brits performance all rates about her will top instantly.The fact that her second single from her upcoming second album has nothing to do with commercial exposure shows that all she cares is building the profile of a great singer with critics acceptance."Nightingale Lane" is a soulful single that links a lot to Aretha Franklin's soul music proving that the title of her upcoming album "This Music May Contain Hope" can be true.She is in the position to release this kind of music and even has a chart success with it.

 Raye lost her husbund and she is in searching probably for her next Uk chart.Wearing her best Beyonce music "Crazy In Love" outfit she previews her upcoming new album with "Where Is My Husband". While that album has yet to be announced in full detail this brass new number will get her in the Uk chart next week for sure expanding her success after last year's turning point in her career.Not sure if this sassy new song will have an international impact or a massive radio status but i think it will stay in my playlist for quite sometime.Welcome back Raye...

 Raye plays the Amy Winehouse role (well kind of) on the new Mark Ronson single "Suzanne" released earler today.The song dips into 60s soul but it also feels rooted in 2025 just like most of the Mark Ronson singles does.Mark Ronson has always been able to interpret age-old studio techniques from a fresh angle but filtered through the lens of a kid who was obsessed with hip-hop as a teen. The beat lingers, and the horns feel raw in the mix while Raye croons exactly how it was supposed for this one simply because she can.This neo-classic release is one of the biggest new releases this week.

 Central Cee is probably the biggest rap name in the Uk right now and his ascent to the Uk charts is almost certain with his brand new single especially when Raye is on board. The track fuses Central Cee’s sharp lyrical delivery with a UK Garage-influenced beat, creating a fresh, genre-defying sound that is both nostalgic and modern.Raye opens the track, singing French with her captivating vocals and even Central Cee adds some lines in it.How far outside Uk will this single go nobody knows for now.

 If this is what happens when an artist goes independent then everybody should leave the record labels.The last two days i m listening to Raye's album "My 21st Century Blues" and i m really impressed.It's so intimate, out of the box, with strong lyrics and powerful that exposes Raye's talent  in writing music vividly.If she was forced to sing dance records instead of expressing herself then choosing this path was the right thing to do."Ice Cream Man" is taking the role of the follow up single to "Escapism" although we are living in a world where every song is a potential single depending the social media part.Did anyone ordered an ice cream?

 If my memory doesn't decieve me this the first time Raye entering the Uk top 40 with a personal single.Before that it was "Black Mascara" that drew my attention and if you ask me this should have happened earlier.Better late than never they say and "Escapism" as part of her debut album "My 21st Century Blues" is getting more and more streaming in a wrong period of time cause Christmas tunes will swallow everything.In case you want new music playing this period then give a chance to "Escapism" and you won't regret it...

 Riton is searching for the follow up to "Friday" since the collab with Bad Boy Chiller Crew proved a fail. This time he recruits Raye the queen of dance singles for the brand new "I Don't Want You". The problem is that by hearing it i wasn't convinced that this one will have any better luck unless i lost my hearing.  It's alnost obvious that her record company doesn't promote Raye music that led her in the recent breakdown. I ll never stop supporting Raye cause it's also obvious that her singles should be chart toppers since others were far less intresting and they did. Raye voice may suits better in dance music and "Call On Me" is something that proves it. Two months after it's release with no chart action here comes the Kream treatment for some better chances..

 If you need some girl power "Therapy" here it is. The latest Anne-Marie single with Little Mix enpowered by the presence of Becky Hill, Raye and Stefflon Don. Maybe they should change the title to "Kiss Theirs" after that release and hopefully it would boost the sales of this single that was aiming the Uk top 10 for a start. These additions doesn't change much the original version except the addition of the vocals and soon enough i guess we ll have the remixes...

RAYE - CALL ON ME

 Η Raye είναι άλλη μία "αδικημένη" στα προσωπικά της singles αφού προφανείς επιτυχίες της έχουν στερηθεί στην Βρετανία όπως για παράδειγμα το "Regardless". Από την άλλη κάνοντας τα φωνητικά σε τραγούδια άλλων όπως πχ στο τελευταίο του Joel Corry η επιτυχία και η αναγνωρισιμότητα της έχουν δοθεί απλόχερα. Και κάπου εδώ έχουμε το νέο της single το οποίο είναι το "Call On Me" το οποίο στο ρεφρέν κάνει κάτι στιγμιαία από το "Call On Me" του Eric Prydz (τυχαίο;) που βασίστηκε βέβαια στο "Valerie" του Steve Windwood. Καλό pop single αλλά μέχρι εκεί...
