Surprising good the new Jennie single that needs the hit status.Unlike some of Jennie's more attitude-driven solo material, this is a warmer, more emotionally expressive performance, allowing her vocals to shine over a colourful and uplifting disco-infused pop production."Someone to Hold" is written for Netflix's upcoming animated movie "Steps".Blending shimmering strings, an infectious bassline and layered vocals, the song combines vintage dance-pop influences with a contemporary neo-disco sound."Steps" is a fresh and unconventional reimagining of the Cinderella fairy tale. Instead of focusing exclusively on Cinderella, the film explores the story through the perspective of her stepsister Lilith. The song represents the sisterhood between Lilith, Cinderella and Margot, accompanying an important emotional moment in the movie which is going to be released on November 20, 2026.Interestingly, the song had already received a nomination in the Song Animated Film category at the 2026 Hollywood Music in Media Awards before its official release and why not a future Oscar nominee...
