Every year the John Lewis tv campaign signs the start of the X-mas period in the Uk.The song that is being used every year for the tv spot is always a strong candidate for the Christmas number one especially now that Sam Fender has the biggest song of the Year (and ever) with "Reign Me In". Well this year Fender takes on one of rock music’s most enduring classics with a heartfelt new interpretation of The Rolling Stones' "You Can't Always Get What You Want" bringing a fresh emotional dimension to a song that has resonated with generations since its original release in 1969. Fender’s version brings together the children’s choir from his former school, John Spence Community High School, and the brass section of Easington Colliery Band.Mick Jagger himself has publicly praised the interpretation, saying he believes Fender has done a great job with the song.Let the X-mas period begin with something new cause Mariah Carey has already being defrosted.
