Switch Disco are a dj/production duo that has as a specialty mash ups. This is the first time i post them and the reason is their brand new single "React" which uses a classic 90's tune that will never go away even if you wanted to.I guess the late Robert Miles would be thrilled with this release and the first REACTions to this "Children" sample dance pop production. It's not the first time or the last that this 1995 classic appears as the base for a dance production. It was unique back then still remains and the melody is timeless. It could be a hit this one you know...
It was released just before the end of 2022 and made a big impression almost instantly. The latest Kx5 single now has an extended Kream on top for some extra dancefloor flavour as it wasn't already enough. This dancefloor banger i guess will sound a whole different in dance events like Tomorrowland so just imagine being there with all of them on stage and the lights and the soundwave hitting you without mercy.Feeling "Alive"?
Futured in numerous TikToks Hotel Ugly with "Shut Up My Mom's Calling" are already in the Uk Top 40 and they re rising as well in the Billboard as the next indie smash.Hotel Ugly are a duo from Houston's indie scene with soul extentions that makes this song a dope laid back tune that gains with time multiple repeats.Just like many other trending songs this is not an instant hit but with time it will gain a massive attention.Their Ep which contains this song is called "The Ugly Ep" but there's nothing ugly in their sound. On the contrary it might become one of your favourites..
As a teenager from early 80s till early 90s i was giving all my money on buying vinyl records especially singles but many albums too.Since there are many vinyl lovers on Tik Tok (you can follow me there too by the name Hitmaster) i have decided to relocate all my records from my parents home to where i live and start making short history music lessons with the item i love most.I see many vinyl lovers are collecting all vinyl editions of todays artists with Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande and Harry Styles winning by far all of your attention.By the way Taylor Swift with "Anti Hero" is going to delay SZA one more week from the top spot on Billboard.Collecting vinyl records and music is an addiction where everything is excused like in every collection no matter what it is.Since my love for music continues i made this blog and i still keep enjoying music releases from every genre. There are not too many that are obsessed with music and keep tracking the charts but since you are a regular here i guess we are the same.
Now Diplo is fluid. He can be transformed almost into anything in music and his brand new release with Kodak Black and Koe Wetzel is the perfect example. This is a modern rock track in my ears with some country elements in it and to tell you the truth it sounds very descent. I dont think this one will make a major charting tour but still it;s a nice touch on your playlist.
French dj Matt Sassari is a first timer on my blog and for a good reason. This tech house track not only samples Timbaland's with Nelly Furtado and Justin Timberlake "Give It To Me" but seems to be making waves in the dance scene not only in Uk about around the globe. The 2007 smash hit has been given Matt Sassari the eye of Sauron music spotlight by entering 2023 so expect djs and clubs to use it a lot.The thin line between club plays and charting can be easily penetrated if the public demand orders it.
Australian Luude is the first DnB dj that has two top 10 Uk hits and he is about to have a third one.He kicks off 2023 with a brand new single that uses the mega Moby classic "Porcelain" and has on vocals the talented and upcoming Issey Cross. This musical glue of two eras is one of the best releases this week and i m sure a one to hear for the next....forever.Not only the 80's but also the 90's are coming back while Luude is forcing himself to global domination.
Long time no see Anthony Gonzalez aka M83 but it was worth the wait.Late spring we will recieve his brand new album "Fantasy" but till then the first offering "Oceans Niagara" will fill our speakers. This is a new era for M83 cause this psychedelic journey of synths and guitars is something totally new from him. This attempt to change his pace in his ninth studio release is really interesting.
I love Kream and their work in dance music. From outstanding dance productions to remixes this duo with everything they do they provide a masterclass in dancefloors around the world.Whether you are a dj or a dance music lover you can;t go wrong by choosing something from the Kream industry.Their latest Ep "Reverie" contains this "Cold" blaster that will put your speakers to the test from the pumping energy it provides.Tyrn on the volume and feel the soundwave...
I think that Maneskin are overrated but they are a mixture of rock music and fashion style that fill a gap that has almost disappeared from the mainstream music. Therefore i can understand why many people like them and stream their music all over the world.Seven more days till the release of their brand new album "Rush" and we have already heard some songs from that one. Here is a brand new release as a single called "Gossip" with the great Tom Morello on board with the Italian group. This pumping rock track represents totally the Maneskin sound so if you are fans you will be pleased.
To tell you the truth just as much as i disliked Miley Cyrus at her start of her career the same and even more i liked her in her last album. It seems that Miley has grown up as an artist and provides great music for the genre she reresents. Her ability to get into the shoes in almost into any genre gives her a flexibility that i really like at the present time.It seems that her brand new album is going to be as great as the last one just as long to hear her brand new single "Flowers" that is a pure bliss.Give your self some self love and start some "Endless Summer Vacation" with Miley showing the way.For me she is the queen of pop music right now.I want "Flowers" everywhere starting now...
Her voice is so special and can easily be mistaken with the one by Florence Welch. And yet Freya Ridings is so unique in every way that makes her one to watch this year. She is about to release her brand new album and this one is the first single. The album is called "Blood Orange" and it's gonna come out on May 5th.On the other hand "Weekends" is so far the best single release this week and loved it from start to finnish. It's already on repeat and one of my favourites this month.....this year....forever....
I was expecting Alok the Brazilian superstar dj to recieve his first chart hit last year but it never happened. Is 2023 his year?Is "Work With My Love" with James Arthur on vocals the one that will finally give him what he really deserves? The "Lola's Theme" sample from the Shapeshifter's 2004 mega hit will work in loving this brand new release from Alok which sounds great in my ears.James Arthur is using more and more the djs to establish a more dancefloor profile and what ever works.
The Bizarrap effect is spotted from Sound Fist for months now ever since "Music Sessions Vol 52" became one of the biggest hits in 2022 in the America continent. And the Bizarrap tsunami has now crossed the Atlantic ocean so expect Vol 52 to explode in Europe any time soon and before summer. What is already last year's music for us soundfisters is becoming a trend in other parts of the world months after our review. Now that the Argentian superstar Bizarrap has moved to another level a collaboration with Shakira feels only natural cause Shakira knows what is doing to remain in the spotlight even someone else is holding it.This is the next step called "Music Sessions Vol 53" and it's going to become easily spread to the radios.Beware the Bizarrap effect...
While "Unholy" ain't slowing down after becoming Sam Smith's biggest hit ever it's time for him to move on and shoot another mega hit as i hear it in my own ears. This is part of his fourth album called "Gloria" out on Jan 27th and comes with Jessie Reyez and Mikayla Victoria Simpson aka Koffee the Jamaican reggae singer on supporting the vocals."Gimme" is a dancehall reggae afrobeat infusion that becomes a pop blaster asking for more and more repeats in every way.I think Sam Smith finally figured out what it takes to stay on the top and in our acoustic field like for the rest of the year at least..
I often say it's not important how big is a hit but how many you have and if you can past the test of time. And this band is one of the greatest bands in the world ever.A release of their biggest hits re-imagined in an album called "Songs Of Surrender" is a must have this year no matter what.So on March 17 get your hands on this album to get 40 of U2's biggest hits but till then you can have your "Pride" the iconic 1984 song that shaped the big bang they created the years to come. This acoustic version may not have the energy of the original but it has the essence of the band which is timeless.
