SWITCH DISCO & TONES AND I - HIDEAWAY

 British DJ duo Switch Disco, consisting of Dan Creasy and Nikos Kalogerias, joined forces with Australian singer-songwriter Tones And I to release a cover of Canadian singer-songwriter Kiesza's "Hideaway". For now they are both one hit wonders and i m pretty sure they don't want to stay that way.The original version of the song was released by Kiesza as her debut single from her debut album "Sound of a Woman" in 2014.The song reached No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart, becoming the third-fastest selling single of 2014 in the United Kingdom.Bringing back a banger is a good choice but will it work?

 Their previous collab created one of the surprised dance classics of 2023 that meant to become a classic in years to come.And if that used Robert Miles "Children" this brand new uses Planet Funk's 2000 smash "Chase The Sun".The recipe is known and it works Ella Henderson is almost always on the charts with every release so after "Alibi" add another one on her long catalogue.What will you do under the sun this summer really?

 Time for some dance fusion now with three artists that often occupy dancefloors and festivals.Switch Disco the masters of mash up are still looking for their follow up to their massive hit "React".So far they failed but maybe now joining forces with Dutch dance masters R3HAB and Sam Feldt there is a chance for a summer anthem that will put audience in motion."Sleep Tonight (This Is The Life)" is based on Amy MacDonald's massive hit "This Is The Life" from 2007.Clever idea to use this song that always manages to create a buzz and a dance version with their skills could really work.

SWITCH DISCO - VACANCY

 Switch Disco consisting of Dan Creasy and Nikos Kalogerias has been riding high from the runaway success of their "React" single with Ella Henderson, which peaked at #4 in the UK Official Charts and spend 10 weeks in the Uk official chart's top 10.The follow up is finally here and it will pretty much show if they were an one hit wonder.With vocals by Ruth-Anne Cunningham and a melody that sounds pretty much to Binary Finary's "1998" this club anthem will try to give them another hit.Although the release period is wrong "Vacancy" is a pretty good dance anthem but not as catchy as their preview one.Many will say it's a banger but i will keep that term for a real one.None the less it's a good single for them...

 From Tik Tokers to the charts Switch Disco managed to have one of the summer dance anthems this year.I really wonder if they will have the chance to repeat this success again but let them enjoy it cause this is now and nobody knows the future.Don Diablo made this remix for them and it will be weaponized by djs around the globe.I m still waiting for the perfect one but for now enjoy this one.

SWITCH DISCO ft ELLA HENDERSON - REACT (D.O.D EXTENDED REMIX)

 It was more than obvious that the timeless melody of "Children" would work once more.Since i reviewed "React" weeks ago what happened is that the song it's already top 5 in the Uk and expected to go higher while it will be maybe the dance anthem of this summer.The remixes for this smash are appearing like mushrooms with D.O.D making one of the best so far.Pretty sure there will be some more during summertime by big names so keep in touch...

SWITCH DISCO ft ELLA HENDERSON - REACT (GABRY PONTE REMIX)

 As the days go by it seems that what it seemed obvious to me it might take a little time to happen.Switch Disco with Ella henderson on vocals have an obvious hit in their hands and one of the summer anthems this year but it isn't an instant hit as it should be especially in the Uk.Slow but steady it gains more and more airplay and the remixes are keep on coming right before the big names step in to lift off this banger.The "Children" sample is unmistakable and it works perfectly with this production.So it seems it will take some more time to happen but when it does it will take longer to forget.

 Switch Disco are a dj/production duo that has as a specialty mash ups.This is the first time i post them and the reason is their brand new single "React" which uses a classic 90's tune that will never go away even if you wanted to.I guess the late Robert Miles would be thrilled with this release and the first REACTions to this "Children" sample dance pop production.It's not the first time or the last that this 1995 classic appears as the base for a dance production.It was unique back then still remains and the melody is timeless.It could be a hit this one you know...
