British sophisti-pop icons Johnny Hates Jazz and soul vocalist Jaki Graham released a joint single this week taking us back in time.Co-written by Johnny Hates Jazz frontman Clark Datchler alongside Average White Band legend Hamish Stuart "Soul Believer" is a fun and uplifting celebration of classic soul music, blending more than 27 classic song titles cleverly woven into its lyrics.And although Calvin Hayes, a founding member and original keyboardist/drummer for Johnny Hates Jazz, died on July 9 life goes on just like music.Legendary Jaki Graham sounds fantastic and euphoric, adding depth and emotional weight to Johnny Hates Jazz’s sophisticated production.But this kind of music will effect mostly all those who lived the 80s and still have the imprint of that pop music within their dna.
