SWEDISH HOUSE MAFIA - IT GETS BETTER

 Well if this is the comeback single by Swedish House Mafia it's not that new. There was an older version of "It Gets Better" which changed into that. We were prepared for another song as the comeback single but this is what you get. Well Swedish House Mafia sounds more like Prodigy in this than the old themselves. Let's forget for a minute what the trio was doing before and let's focus in this one. My personal opinion is that it is very interesting and different from other singles and that makes it a good single. Of course it will be very difficult for charting or radio playlisting but SHM have a name in the business and you never know. Is it getting better for you?

SHAKIRA - DON'T WAIT UP

 This is the first English language single by Shakira in 5 years. I don't know what you expected from her but this has nothing to do with latin. Don't Wait Up" is rather an electronic pop with a dance touch easy to be remixed for the dancefloors by great producers i suppose. It's very difficult to judge a song by the first listen and sometimes it needs to grow inside you. From the first listening i wasn't impressed maybe i was expecting something else but like i said it doesn't bother my ears or make me change the radio station that plays it. And who knows with a lot of plays i might know how to sing it...

 Rap is like basketaball. You can play it in every part of the world but the most popular and famous players you can find them at the USA. Dave & Stormzy are very popular in the UK and that's why they are going to have the highest new entry in the Uk chart next week as it will be announced tommorow. BASTILLE - GIVE ME THE FUTURE

 Who knows what the future holds. Personally i think that we ll have to adjust to some rather disturbing or bad things in the future while technology will replace a lot of the things we know so far in many fields. Bastille are anxious about the future with a new single and the release of their new album "Distorted Light Beam". "Give Me the Future" is a great single like the first one but the respond was not the one i was expecting. BBC will have to reconsider what it promotes and what not. The only way to change our taste in music is by promoting good singles instead of autistic repeating recipies. Try Bastille it worths it..

 I m curious to see how many more remixes of this one will emerge in the next weeks. Almost in every part of the world djs are remixing "Love Tonight" which seems to be the dance anthem of the summer.  After the great first single from Chvrches new album "Screen Violence" along Robert Smith which of course it didn't get the attention it should have here is another taste. "Good Girls" go to heaven and bad girls goes everywhere. Or not? This is another point of view from the band that makes electronic pop-rock sound really tasty although this single is not going to have what it deserves as usual. THOM YORKE ft RADIOHEAD - CREEP (VERY 2021 REMIX)

KUNGS - NEVER GOING HOME (LOST FREQUENCIES REMIX)

 The first time i heard "Never Going Home" by Kungs i thought this should be a hit. After a few weeks the song is still spreading especially in France and some other countries in Europe. There are not too many infectious songs these weeks and this one is. In this remix we have a French collab since Lost Frequencies did this remix that is not better than the original but puts a different point of view that might interests the djs or some listeners. Let's hope the song grows more. It deserves it...

 It seems that the newest Regard single didn't work as he expected in the Uk but there is an increasing interest at the USA. Troye Sivan and Tate McRae suits better to the the usa pop radios even though it's very difficult to overcome in sales other genres. I have already reviewed "You" many weeks ago but in case you need a dance version of it KC Lights might have the one you are searching for. Different feeling and 90's piano all the way..

MANESKIN - ZITTI E BUONI (ANDI VAX REMIX)

Thank god England didin't win the euro and now we can suffer less from all those "coming home" songs at the Uk chart. By the way this is the second time a country wins both Euro and eurovision in the same year with Greece making the start. On the other hand i m very curious to see the reaction of the Uk market towards Maneskin after Italy winning the cup. At this point i have to remind you that the Italian group have two songs inside the Uk Top 10 and that's why it makes it so interesting. And since the winning eurovision song this year was the least favourite in the charts position this remix of "Zitti E Buoni" is a tribute (and a good choice) to our friends in Italy. Gongrats folks...

CALVIN HARRIS ft TOM GRENNAN - BY YOUR SIDE (OLIVER HELDENS REMIX)

 Calvin Harris has another Top 10 in the Uk charts with Tom Grennan on vocals which is his third time in a very short period. I wasn't impressed when i first heard "By Your Side" and i m not still. I was expecting the remixes to change my point of view and the Moti remix was absolutely wrong.And now comes the Oliver Heldens remix to make things just a little bit interesting. It's not a great tool for the djs but it's a tool you can easily use.Therefore i ll suggest you to take a listen and judge for yourself. Let's wait to see if another one will be much better..
