THE WEEKND ft JUSTICE - WAKE ME UP

 Finally it dropped and it might be the last one by the name The Weeknd according to Abel.My first impression of the album was ok this is a classic The Weeknd sound that has it's moments with the best one by far being this one."Wake Me Up" uses somehow the sound that Michael Jackson and Quincy Jones made for the iconic "Thriller" just wait till it drops after the long intro.This is a very clever production by the Justice with the vocals and the instrument arrangement being the closest to the Michael Jackson sound without being a rip off.While the credits of the album did not initially appear on streaming services, a rep for the artist confirms that it features Lana Del Rey, Travis Scott, Future, Florence + the Machine, Giorgio Moroder, Playboi Carti, Anitta and others.The album will be followed in May by the film of the same name, starring the Weeknd with Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan.

TIESTO ft OAKS - I FOLLOW RIVERS

 2024 wasn't a very successful year for Tiesto not that he lost his job or something but he didn't score any major chart hit as before.His Prismatic almost 4 hours dj sets during last year are getting an Ep with this "prismatic" version of Lykke Li's "I Follow Rivers" on the highlight with Oaks serving the vocals.This is the pack one meaning there are more to follow this year but for now this progressive version of a classic seems to get a lot of hype.I don't think that this new version overcomes the Magician remix but it's an interesting dj tool and a potential hit.

 One of my favourite dance tracks of all time and not just from the 90's is Chicane's "Saltwater" released back in the distant 1999 (so tonight i m gonna party...).Using parts from Clannad's 1982 song "Theme From Harry's Game" and vocals by Enya's sister Moya Brennan this anthem has a magical touch especially when it blends with the sea aura.In 2025 further cementing his reputation as a production genius,  Claptone  delivers a phenomenal house flip of  Chicane ’s biggest hit. Tried, tested and well-received by crowds around the world, the German DJ and producer’s take on "Saltwater" reveals a genre-spanning, club-ready take on the trance classic.

 Last year Empire Of The Sun returned to music after eight years with their album "Ask That God" which passed with minimum reactions both for or album or the singles.This year  they’ve released a deluxe edition of "Ask That God" with two new bonus tracks, and one of those tracks is an unlikely team-up with Fleetwood Mac legend Lindsey Buckingham.Buckingham doesn’t seem too heavily involved in Empire Of The Sun’s new track "Somebody’s Sun" as he slides in towards the end of the song with his smooth but authoritative vocals.Interesting release but not as powerful expected.

 Another week with poor new releases for someone to notice and really like.So i am gonna keep it only to the ones that really needs an attention cause quality over quantity is the new trend.
