ED SHEERAN - SAPPHIRE

Ed Sheeran‘s love for India sparkles on his new song "Sapphire" while he traverses India in the single's accompanying music video. SABRINA CARPENTER - MANCHILD

Sabrina Carpenter dropped her brand new single "Manchild" an upbeat number very much in the tradition of "Please, Please, Please" and other songs that have found Carpenter putting members of the opposite sex in their collective place. Carpenter co-wrote "Manchild" alongside frequent collaborator Amy Allen and Jack Antonoff, with Antonoff also handling production duties.Following the success of hits such as "Espresso", "Please Please Please" and "Taste" on the charts last year she needs to stay updated and that's what she is doing.Probably will ride the charts once again.

MARIAH CAREY - TYPE DANGEROUS

Mariah went out looking for "Type Dangerous" so are you a candidate? This is her first original single release since 2019 and she links directly to her 90's era.The song samples Eric B. & Rakim’s "Paid in Full" classic "Eric B. Is President" sounds fiery and serves as the first single from her upcoming 16th album release. It's full with her trademark lyricism and sound, filled with wordplay that could easily go viral with its wittiness and catchiness.Curious how her new era will be received by the media and the charts but i can clearly see a possibility here.

SKYE NEWMAN - FAMILY MATTERS

 Have a nice week soundfisters....

With "Ordinary Love" on the course for another number one spot this time in the United States Alex Warren becomes so far the newcomer with the biggest hit of 2025 without a doubt. Now talking about newcomers Skye Newman fits also in this category since her single "Family Matters" is already a top 10 hit in the Uk and maybe on the course for a future number one!!!Coming from south East London she manages with her second single to get the attention since the mid-tempo tune unpacks the tangled threads of family life from the closeness, the cracks, and the silence in between.Distinctive, raspy vocals and a meaningful lyrical content, you’ll realise she’s more than just a pretty face with a voice.

THE CURE, DANIEL AVERY - DRONE:NODRONE (DANIEL AVERY REMIX)

The Cure are releasing "Mixes of a Lost World", the remix companion to last year’s great "Songs of a Lost World", on June 13 and this is the final track and probably the best one before it's release. The original is one of the heaviest, most searing songs on the album but in Avery’s hands it’s still heavy, but he makes it a serious dancefloor banger by bringing the funk elements that were there under all those guitars to the forefront and adding clubby beats and his signature atmospheric style. This awesome rework is probably one of the best releases this week in every aspect.
