KYGO ft PAUL McCARTNEY & MICHAEL JACKSON - SAY SAY SAY

 This is a game that Kygo knows how to play it very well.That last time the Norwegian dj made a global hit was when he remixed Whitney Houston's version of "Higher Love".Remixing is his field while his own songs fail to chart for various reasons.Now this remix of the 1983 smash collab between Paul and Michael has been used for some months now by Kygo with the response being warm enough to release it as a single today.For us who lived the original release and grew up with "Say Say Say" storming the charts this reedition finds me ok but not thrilled.I can understand that he used the same recipe with "Higher Love" that is already tested and tried to bring this classic into the 20's but it feels a little awkward.No need to say that is always great to hear the two legends once more and feel that they might come back at the charts.

Οι απόψεις διίστανται στο κατά πόσο ένας 80χρονος σπουδαίος της μουσικής θα πρέπει να κυκλοφορεί τραγούδια σαν το "Fuh You". Πριν λίγο διάβασα ότι δεν ταιριάζει με την ηλικία του. Και εγώ ρωτάω έχει σημασία η βιολογική ηλικία ή το πως αισθάνεσαι; Και γιατί να μην βγάλει κάτι που να απευθύνεται στους 20χρονους; Θα μου πεις για φαντάσου τον Paul McCartney να λέει live το "Fuh You" έστω και στην dirty version του. To πως βλέπει κάποιος το ποτήρι είναι θέμα άποψης και προσωπικά δεν θα με πείραζε καθόλου άλλωστε χαίρομαι αυτούς που τους αρέσει να τσαλακώνουν την εικόνα τους ακόμα και με σεξουαλικά υπονοούμενα. Ο καθωσπρεπισμός είναι πολύ χειρότερος από ένα "Fuh You" και συνήθως υποκρύπτει σκοτεινούς τύπους από πίσω. Και αυτό πάντως είναι ένα καλό τραγούδι μέσα από το νέο του album. Not bad για καποιον που συνεχίζει να γράφει τραγούδια μετά από τόσες δεκαετίες...

PAUL McCARTNEY - COME ON TO ME

O Paul McCartney με την ιστορία του στην μουσική δεν έχει ανάγκη ούτε για χρήματα ούτε για hits ωστόσο στα 76 του συνεχίζει να κάνει μουσική να παίζει live γιατί αυτό πηγάζει από μέσα του γιατί ολόκληρη η ύπαρξη του είναι μουσική. Πριν λίγες μέρες έκανε και ένα συγκινητικό carpool karaoke όπου επισκέφθηκε τα μέρη που έζησε και έπαιξε στα νεανικά του χρόνια από την early κιόλας εποχή των Beatles. To "Come On To Me" είναι το single που ξεχωρίζει από το επερχόμενο "Egypt Station" album του δείχνοντας ακόμα και σε αυτή την ηλικία γιατί ο Paul είναι από τους μεγαλύτερους συνθέτες στην ιστορία της μουσικής και ότι ακόμα το χει...
