DUA LIPA ft MADONNA & MISSY ELLIOT - LEVITATING (THE BLESSED MADONNA REMIX)

 

Στα τέλη Αυγούστου θα κυκλοφορήσει το remix album της Dua Lipa "Future Nostalgia" το οποίο θα έχει πολλές εκπλήξεις σε επίπεδο συνεργασιών. Όταν ανακοινώθηκε ότι το επίσημο επόμενο single θα είναι η συνεργασία της με την Madonna και την Missy Elliot πολύς κόσμος αναστέναξε. Ε λοιπόν το "Levitating" στην remix εκτέλεση του είναι εδώ και μπορείτε μόνοι σας να βγάλετε τα συμπεράσματα σας. Προσωπικά δεν πιστεύω σε καμία περίπτωση πως το συγκεκριμένο είναι καλύτερο από τα singles που έχει ήδη κυκλοφορήσει και μένει να δούμε το video το οποίο θα του δώσει ένα extra boost. Πιστεύω πως θα ξεφουσκώσει αρκετά σύντομα και δεν έχει προοπτικές να εντυπωθεί ιδιαίτερα στο ευρύ κοινό. Αλλά αυτή είναι η δική μου εντύπωση..

MISSY ELLIOTT - THROW IT BACK

H Missy Elliott είναι από τις πρώτες πολύ πριν υπάρξουν Nicki Minaj, Cardi B και οι υπόλοιπες μαθητευόμενες. Είναι από τις πρώτες γυναίκες rappers που γνώρισαν επιτυχία γι αυτό και ο τίτλος του Ep της "Iconology" το οποίο σηματοδοτεί και την επιστροφή της. Σε μία εποχή όπου η rap είναι στο απόγειο της το "Throw It Back" μπορεί να απευθύνεται στο Αμερικάνικο κοινό (κυρίως) δεν είναι όμως hit γιατί είναι δύσκολο και όχι mainstream. Ωστόσο η Missy Elliot είναι icon και της αξίζει η επιστροφή...
