KYGO, KHALID & GRYFFIN - SAVE MY LOVE

 Music success usually lasts for sometime and then you find yourself outdated especially if you use the same sound over and over again.Kygo is very talented but i think he is trapped into his computer loops.His new collaboration with also talented Gryffin and chart topper vocalist Khalid explores the devastation of realizing you were fighting for a love you never actually felt.Both Kygo and Gryffin are renowned for the piano house and tropical vibes and that's what they offer once again on "Save My Love".Are they still people out there that are willing to recycle a good production that we already heard a thousand times?

TOOSII & KHALID - FAVORITE SONG (REMIX)

 This is one of my favorite songs and is so close to enter the Billboard top 10 (hope it does).The melody is great and reminds me of the good old days in soul where ballads like this one were huge global hits.This time to boost the sales a remix version with Khalid on board was released a perfect selection for this "Favorite Song". In other chart news Morgan Wallen seems the absolute ruler of the Hot 100 for another week while the two Mexican songs "Ella Baila Sola" and "Un x 100to" are right behind on the chase.Or maybe we ll get the first afrobeat number one with "Calma" by Rema & Selena Gomez?Either way something that happens first time will be revealed in the next weeks.

PNAU & KHALID - THE HARD WAY

 Now we are talking....This is absolutely brilliant, a banger and an earcandy.Not often i m so pleased and captivated by a song from the very first listen.Pnau's new single with Khalid is destined to become a huge hit and if not then there's something wrong with the world of music.It's also the closest to the "Cold Heart" sound cause the Aussies are responsible for one of the biggest hits a year or so ago.This song takes me away through all the past 4 decades of music with an electronic bliss and reminds me of something i can't focus right now but i m sure i ll know soon.Banger banger banger and one of the best songs i heard the last two years...

 He wrote that this one is one of his favourite singles to be released this week.He was right...Khalid just released one of my favourite tunes this week that just found a cozy place in my playlist.I really don't care if "Satelite" will also find a place at the charts or at people's videos on Tik Tok although it should just as long i have such a lovely song at my speakers.All that matters is that Khalid once more has a nice single to offer...

MARSHMELLO & KHALID - NUMB (ALOK REMIX)

 Marshmello's "Numb" with Khalid is one of the top songs in the USA dance charts but it also gets more and more airplay overseas.The slow burner song that really grabs you for good once you playlist it day by day gets more remixes and this one by Alok should be a serious weapon in the hands of the djs. Personally i m a fan of the single version but hey who could say no to a brand new banging version..

 Five years after their first collaboration Marshmello and Khalid meet again for a new single called "Numb". Now if that one sounds to you a lot like "Pumped Up Kicks" by Foster The People then i will not be the only one. None the less "Numb" feels like a smash hit to me cause it's catchy, easy to sing even after the first listen and has a lot of potential to stay in time.And if i predict right this one will become a favourite in Tik Tok (cause it will be) then ladies and gentleman here is a future smash...

MARIAH CAREY ft KHALID & KIRK FRANKLIN - FALL IN LOVE AT CHRISTMAS

 She has the most succesfull Christmas song ever and every year still sales like crazy keeping the myth of Mariah Carey alive. I thought when i learned about this release that it will be a typical festive X-mas anthem but no. "Fall In Love In Christmas" has a little thing to do with the sound of the holiday season and it's an absolute love song, a ballad that Mariah knows how to sing like few. Now how much can enter your Christmas list it's up to you but Khalid & Kirk Franklin are serving more love than you can bear on this...

KHALID - PRESENT

 Music is always good for the soul and soul music is double the effect. A good way to be present in music is releasing mixtapes instead of albums and Khalid is going to do exactly that with "Present" being the first single. KHALID - NEW NORMAL

 In case you are new here the password that can be found in the end of the post is something you can use only if you are members of Sound Fist's Facebook page. In case you are living like all of us a "New Normal" in your life then Khalid has the right song for you. It took a long time to get recognized by the music industry and get well known but now he did it's always a pleasure to hear nice songs because of artists like him. "New Normal" sound to me like a broadway soul anthem and it's the first taste from his upcoming album "Everything Is Changing".

TATE MCRAE & KHALID - WORKING

 Η Tate McRae μετά το εξαιρετικό "You Broke Me First" κυκλοφόρησε και άλλα singles τα οποία όμως δεν τράβηξαν ιδιαίτερα την προσοχή. Αυτό δεν σημαίνει όμως πως η Tate δεν είναι σε μία ανοδική πορεία και ένα από τα ονόματα που φαίνεται να έχουν μέλλον στην μουσική βιομηχανία. Άλλωστε εκπροσωπεί αυτό το είδος της indie pop που έχει ιδιαίτερη απήχηση με πολλούς νέους καλλιτέχνες να το υπηρετούν. Από την άλλη ο Khalid ο οποίος συμπράττει στο νέο της single έχει βγει εδώ και καιρό από την αφάνεια και έχει ένα ευρείας αποδοχής μουσικό προφίλ. Το "Working" που ανήκει στις νέες κυκλοφορίες της εβδομάδας που συνεχίζουν να μου έρχονται είναι μία καλή πρόταση για το playlist..

J BALVIN & KHALID - OTRA NOCHE SIN TI

 Θυμάμαι ότι για πολλά χρόνια έγραφα για τον Khalid ο οποίος ήταν άλλος ένας που έγραφαν τα blogs έως ότου επιτέλους αναγνωρίστηκε και έγινε star. Πολύ λιγότερο έγραφα για τον J Balvin ο οποίος στην latin μουσική θεωρείται super star.Άλλωστε η latin μουσική έχει ένα τεράστιο κοινό με τα δικά της βραβεία και τα δικά της charts και ο J Balvin έχει καταρρίψει πολλά από τα ρεκόρ σύμφωνα πάντα με τις νέες συνθήκες. Η συνεργασία λοιπόν αυτών των δύο είναι ένα πάντρεμα που θα αποκτήσει κοινό από την στιγμή μάλιστα που το "Otra Noche Sin Ti" είναι ένα όμορφο Ισπανόφωνο τραγούδι..

VICTORIA MONET, KHALID, SG LEWIS - EXPERIENCE

 

Υπάρχουν αρκετοί νέοι καλλιτέχνες που κάνουν καλό στην RnB και Soul μουσική που τόσο έχει λείψει από τα ραδιόφωνα. Η επιτυχία της Doja Cat που κατάφερε να γίνει super επιτυχία θα ανοίξει τον δρόμο και σε άλλους όπως η Victoria Monet η οποία με το "Experience" έχει αναλάβει να συνεχίσει αυτή την ανοδική πορεία. Μαζί της και ο Khalid ο οποίος έχει καταφέρει και αυτός να γίνει διεθνής αλλά και ο SG Lewis που δείχνει  οτι έχει τα vibes για να ακούμε αξιόλογα πράγματα. Μακάρι τις επόμενες εβδομάδες να φουντώσει το πράγμα και με αυτό εδώ..

KHALID, DISCLOSURE - KNOW YOUR WORTH

Οι Disclosure ήταν απολύτως φυσικό να συνεργαστούν κάποια στιγμή με τον Khalid. Άλλωστε απ έξω απ έξω με κάποια remixes στον Khalid είχαν προετοιμάσει το έδαφος. Το αποτέλεσμα είναι το "Know Your Worth" το οποίο είναι ένα mid tempo soul british dance anthem που λιώνει σαν βούτυρο αλλά αφήνει μία extra γλυκύτητα όπως μία τούρτα που σε μπουκώνει. Με λίγα λόγια για να σταματήσω την γκρίνια περίμενα περισσότερα αλλά αυτό δεν σημαίνει πως δεν είναι μία από τις must επιλογές της εβδομάδας. Στην Βρετανία το βλέπω περισσότερο να πουλάει παρά στον υπόλοιπο πλανήτη...

KHALID - ELEVEN

Θυμάμαι όταν πριν μερικά χρόνια έγραφα για τον Khalid πόσο του αξίζει η επιτυχία και σύντομα θα του κάτσει όπως γράφω και σήμερα για κάποιους άλλους. Βέβαια τότε λίγοι έδιναν σημασία στα γραφόμενα με το σήμερα να έχει δικαιώσει όλους αυτούς που τον περίμεναν. Ο Khalid είναι μεγάλο όνομα και στις δύο πλευρές του Ατλαντικού με τα singles του να βρίσκονται στα charts και να τα ομορφαίνουν. Το ίδιο θα συμβεί και με το νέο του single "Eleven" στο οποίο κάνει κάποια "κρυφά" φωνητικά και ο Craig David απ ότι λένε (δεν ήμουν μέσα στο studio-δεν ξέρω). Για την σημειολογία του τίτλου δεν ξέρω ξέρω όμως ότι μ αρέσει πολύ (και αυτό)...

KHALID - UP ALL NIGHT

Χρωστάω το νέο single του Khalid το οποίο απ ότι φαίνεται θα γίνει και αυτό επιτυχία τις επόμενες εβδομάδες ενώ στο Βρετανικό chart όπως θα ανακοινωθεί σε λίγες ώρες η Tones And I θα παραμείνει στην κορυφή για μία ακόμα εβδομάδα κάνοντας το το πιο επιτυχημένο single από γυναίκα εδώ και καιρό ενώ την υψηλότερη νέα είσοδο θα την έχει το νέο single της Billie Eilish. Δεν φαίνεται να έχει τα κότσια όμως για υψηλότερα αφού για την επόμενη εβδομάδα θα σφαχτούν για το νούμερο 1 το νέο του Stormzy με το νέο single του Lewis Capaldi που βρήκατε στο blog αυτές τις ημέρες. H Dua Lipa δεν θα καταφέρει μάλλον να κερδίσει το νουμερο 1 αφού θα παραμείνει κολλημένη στο νούμερο 2 για μία ακόμα φορά.
Το "Up All Night" είναι από τα τραγούδια που θα σπρώξει το BBC και αποτελεί μία μοντέρνα έκδοση της soul που τόσο χρειάζεται η μουσική. Μ αρέσει...

MAJOR LAZER & KHALID - TRIGGER

Ή το τραγούδι το είχαν για το συρτάρι ή τελικά τα video games εξασφαλίζουν πια μεγάλους καλλιτέχνες και ρίχνουν πολλά λεφτά στην βιομηχανία της μουσικής. Το "Trigger" είναι η συνεργασία των Major Lazer με τον Khalid το οποίο ακούγεται πολύ ενδιαφέρουσα ως συνεργασία αν και το αποτέλεσμα θα μπορούσε να είναι ένα κλικ καλύτερο από αυτό που ακούω. Ωστόσο αξίζει τον κόπο να το ακούσετε συγκριτικά πάντοτε με κάποια άλλα...

ED SHEERAN ft KHALID - BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE

Τον Ed Sheeran θα τον θυμούνται σε 50 χρόνια από τώρα σαν τον Elton John της εποχής του και αυτό το λέω μετά βεβαιότητας και όχι σαν ευχή. Το album του με τις συνεργασίες που θα κυκλοφορήσει σε λίγο καιρό έχει αποκαλυφθεί και ξέρουμε ποιοι θα συμμετέχουν. Ένα από αυτά τα ονόματα είναι και ο Khalid ο οποίος ευτυχώς γνώρισε την επιτυχία που για τόσο καιρό έγραφα στο blog όταν χρόνια πριν ήταν ένας ανερχόμενος πολύ καλός τραγουδιστής που ήξεραν μόνο τα blogs. To "Beautiful People" είναι άλλο ένα δείγμα του πόσο καλός είναι ο Sheeran να γράφει τραγούδια που τραγουδιούνται από την αρχή μέχρι το τέλος και όχι να θυμόμαστε ένα στιχάκι ή ένα ρεφρέν. Μ αρέσει επίσης ο τρόπος που κυκλοφορεί τα singles του σιγά σιγά για να εμπεδώσουμε τα προηγούμενα και δεν τα ξεπουλάει. Μ αρέσει γενικά ο Ed Sheeran πολυυυυυύ...
