 AFI are an American band from California and their name stands for A Fire Inside."Ash Speck In A Green Eye" is their new single and it's the closest to The Cure's early days sound you ever heard. The needling guitar and the thrumming bass on the lyrics are a trademark you can't ignore even if you wanted to. "Ash Speck in a Green Eye" is a track off the band’s upcoming album, "Silver Bleeds the Black Sun" with that 80s goth path that made me not only post it on my blog but give it a thumbs up and a the "must listen" label.

 Doja Cat not only released a "Gorgeous" single but a georgous album too in the form of "Vie" released today.Still can't understand why "Jealous Type" the lead single failed so far to connect with the charts in the highest level but the release of the secong single and the album will probably boost everything.The Jack Antonoff-produced song has a video that pairs Doja with some of the hottest models currently working the high-fashion scene. Cameos include Sora Choi, Alex Consani, Paloma Elsesser, Karen Elson, Amelia Gray, Imaan Hammam, Ida Heiner, Irina Shayk, Mona Tougaard, Ugbad, and Yseult and her mom!!!  If i haven't convinced you yet why you should put SG Lewis in your life then maybe his brand new album "Anemoia" will.And "Baby Blue" is a part of this album which is a strong and pretty convincing reason why this guy really worths it. "Baby Blue", is a disco-tinged collaboration with Oliver Sim of The xx, that captures the album’s balance between nostalgia and zeitgeist-capturing club culture.Sampling something from an 1978 old record the disco bliss explodes right away making this single one of the best songs from this week's new releases.

POPPY, AMY LEE, COURTNEY LAPLANTE - END OF YOU

 More and more i see many of the rock, heavy metal new releases entering the highest download chart positions but the problem is that there is no big time duration since the streaming and the radio support is poor.But the fact is that there is a big audience out there that needs rock music as music itself needs the rock sounds.Evanescence’s Amy Lee has teamed up with Poppy and Spiritbox’s Courtney LaPlante on a new song titled "End of You".This is one of the very rare times that three female vocalists release a join single and the fact that is currently the number one song in downloads makes it even surprising.This is an epic track that shines the spotlight on all three vocalists.Now in the world of rock music this is huge, packing a mix of sung and screamed vocals, an infectious chorus, and plenty of punchy nu-dustrial riffery.

JUSTIN BIEBER - LOVE SONG

 How more Swag can you take?Despite your abilities Justin Bieber's "Swag II" is here and a new round with multiple singles will keep fans or not occupied with his music.The 23-track set follows in the organic-sounding, warm-feeling alt-R&B mode of the first "Swag" and even a couple overlapping feature guests in Lil B and Eddie Benjamin while Tems is new addition to the "Swag II" project.Now "Love Song" is considered one of the best of the album and serves as the new single.Once more i didn't feel the needed deep connection but hey that's just me.

PURPLE DISCO MACHINE ft JAKE SHEARS - FIRE & ICE

 After a couple weak i d say releases by PDM the modern nu disco wizard returns with a rather good new release.Teaming up with the iconic vocals of Jake Shears (formerly of Scissor Sisters) he creates "Fire & Ice" a track that embodies the pure essence of contemporary disco music.The track is based on Marietta's "Fire And Ice" from 1986 a track that even i don't really recall but PDM decides to give it a new aspect.It is also isa part of the series of dance collaborations that have made Purple Disco Machine one of the most recognizable names on the international house and disco scene. With a production that favors hypnotic grooves and catchy melodies , the song is a perfect dancefloor track with Jake Shears 's vocals bring the theatricality and sensuality that always characterized Scissor Sisters' hits.

CALVIN HARRIS & JESSIE REYEZ - OCEAN

 It's nice to see Calvin Harris to return to what he does best and eventually getting some more hits cause he needs it.This time he collaborates with Canadian singer Jessie Reyez for a dance anthem that will bring you the breeze of a dance ocean.The signature sound that made Harris who he is is all over "Ocean" that will probably make djs embrace it from day one while the charts more or less will respond to it since they smell like a music swamp lately and some new uplifted tunes needed asap.Let's hope that Calvin Harris will stay at this sound and stop experiment.

LADY GAGA - THE DEAD DANCE

 The deep connection between "Wednesday" tv series and Lady Gaga is officially upgraded with mama Monster showing up in episode six as Rosaline Rotwood, a Nevermore teacher in the 1960s with psychic abilities.With the "Dead Dance" song finally released with a Tim Burton directed video and a live performance on this Sunday's MTV Awards the song is expected to explode in multiple levels. "Do the dead dance"  over an infectious bassline, "Thriller"-esque synths and licks of electric guitar.Gaga is on the loose once again.

ANOTR, WAYNE SNOW & 3DDY - HOLD ON LET GO

ANOTR are a very special case in dance music building up a fan club not only among the audience but also djs around the world.For ANOTR "Hold On, Let Go" marks their first single since their celebrated album earlier this year.Wayne Snow delivers a soulful, almost nostalgic vocal that glides perfectly over the deep percussion while 3DDY add his signature on this hypnotic Afro-inspired groove.What i like most about this one is the feeling that it was made by real organs and not in a computer somewhere.In any case the result is a record that feels both timeless and forward-thinking.
