 More and more i appreciate this newcomer.From last year’s smash singles "Romantic Homicide" and "Here With Me", as well as more recent drop "Placebo Effect" D4VD proves to be an artist with the ability to swimm musickly among many genres and create really interesting music.So i won't give a name to his brand new single "Worthless" which fits perfectly to what i want to hear when it comes to music.Genre-defying seems to be an advantage that's why his forthcoming tour sold out in minutes.

 Now if you follow the Uk chart then i have some news for you."Flowers" by Miley Cyrus is heading for a ninth week at the number one a number we don't get to see very often at the Uk charts while her brand new single "Rivers" it will probably debut in the Top 10.The highest new entry will make the brand new collab between Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding in the top 5 and this will be the third time these two will have a top 10 single as a collab.

Now this Uk rapper will be a soon to see new rap star in the Uk.Based on a sample of Smokey Robinson & The Miracles' “Who's Gonna Take The Blame", "Us Against The World" could make it's way all the way out the Uk charts cause it has the mainstream effect on it.The remix version has drill MC Digga D on some verses and is already a top 20 hit in the Uk.Kinda dig that one..

 Sam Ryder became viral covering songs on social media with his powerful voice indeed.Then came the Eurovision a debut album and some collabs that launched his career in music.Soon he will be once more at the Eurovision stage in Liverpool while a brand new cover is his latest single.The iconic 1986 "You Ve Got The Love" by The Source & Candi Staton on vocals is a good choice although a male version is something we hear for the very first time.This cover version is also used on a well known brand campaign so it has an exposure that could start a fire.And if you ask me if i like it i ll say that i prefer the Florence And The Machine's cover and that should do...

 I m pretty sure that Lana Del Rey is not going to change anything in her music. Try something else.That's it and  i m also pretty sure that her fans doesn't want her to change in anything.There are many fans, vinyl collectors and music lovers out there that buy Lana but not stream her music.So apart from her albums Lana Del Ray is not on the single charts.Now next week, Lana Del Rey is releasing a new album, "Did You Know That There’s A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd".So far she released two songs from that album and now you have a third one to get you in the mood. The song was co-written with Mike Hermosa, and it features backing vocals from Melodye Perry, Pattie Howard, and Shikena Jones.I think that the first listen is very promising for your playlist and i really love the intro before it turns to another sad love song from Lana.

 With Morgan Wallen dominating the Billboard charts this week is obvious that country music is not only very popular in the States but it also starts to include some new elements in the production of this genre songs making it more appealing to younger ages.I don't know and i really don't care how they gonna call it cause liking one song is beyond genres and labels.Now this 29-year-old Alabama native started taking his music to TikTok and making a cover of the 2006 Snow Patrol hit "Chasing Cars" in 2023 is a fine example of there are no boundaries in music.Although it seems like an odd song for a country singer to cover the result for me is really excellent and maybe this one will be his ticket to success and gain popularity.

  Christine And The Queens returns with an ambitious new album called Paranoia, Angels, True Love"  a 20-track collection, co-produced by hip-hop legend Mike Dean, who is linked with Lana Del Rey and Beyoncé among others. Lead single "To be honest" is an immaculate synth-pop power ballad the kind of few pays attention, stream or get viral in the social media.That means it's difficult to see this song chart but....there is always a but, you get to make your playlist sound wonderful.

ARRDEE & CAT BURNS - HOME FOR MY HEART

 

I really like Cat Burns and her voice.Her music reminds me short of Tracy Chapman's songs and i think she is here to stay.On the other hand Arrdee is a British hip hop sensation that sells for now.It was only a matter of time after they both appeared at this year's Brits to release something together. The track tells the story of a relationship breakdown and expected to enter the Uk Top 40 and see where it goes from there.I just hope Arrdee doesn't read me but this is a blog that speaks the truth and has it's own opinion.

MICHAEL BOLTON - SPARK OF LIGHT

Last night was an Oscar night and i want to share some thoughts.I was so glad about Brendan Fraser took the statue back home that winning an Oscar for best picture one of the most boring movies i ve seen in ages comes in second place.I m not talking about the actors of "Everything..." but the movie as a movie.And that song that won the Oscar what?Are you serious who voted for that one?There's something wrong with the Oscars i m telling you.

But being an old school in taste and can't really relate to today's hip hop no matter how popular is makes me wanna say few words about Michael Bolton and in no way shout "shut up Bolton". The white guy with one of the biggest soul voices ever is back.He is not going to ride the charts or even i m not going to say that this is a great song.I just want to honour him for the music and the moments i spent with him and my record player.So....Thank you Bolton.
