This is probably my favourite new release this week.Not only it links the 80's pop music but it also embraces imperfection with a hard-hitting sound graced with lush guitar work and brightly hypnotic synth tones."At Your Worst" is Scott’s first solo single since the mid-2022 and it worthed the wait all the way.His most up-tempo and high-energy track to date is a song you enjoy listening to from start to finish.At his best with "At Your Worst".

GUNS N ROSES - PERHAPS

 This is the worst week of the year when it comes to new releases so i ll have to get out the fat from the fly.I will also be very harsh on my reviews starting from this one.This is the first release in 30 years with the basic line up from Guns N Roses.It’s going to be very, very difficult for new Guns N’ Roses music to meet the expectations surrounding the very idea of new Guns N’ Roses music, especially now that Slash and Duff McKagan are back in the band.The studio recording hides any vocal problems Axl has that they were obvious in their live concerts so "Perhaps" doesn't have this problem.The problem is that the song is out of place and time even for the band's history if not for the new music reality which it is.I m not saying that artists from the past shouldn't record new material anymore.I just wish they sounded closer to what they were.

BANANARAMA - VENUS (BOYS NOIZE EXTENDED REMIX)

 Bananarama had a great strings of hits back in the 80s with their cover on Shoking Blues "Venus" being their biggest charting hit.This song was a hit back in 1969 by Shocking Blue remained a classic, till Bananarama's version in 1986 expanded it's legacy.Now you know that rave's reborn as a genre is what came out this year so Boys Noize sped up more the Bananarama version and the outcome is a "rave hell".For me i think that its too much cause in any case i prefer the 1969 version.There are other Bananarama songs that i love way more...

His TikTok account, was relatively unknown that is, until this past weekend. Anthony went from thousands of views to millions for his song "Rich Men North of Richmond". It comes off as a working-class anthem taking aim at the powerful and the politicians in Washington, D.C. who are, as the song says, just north of Richmond.It speaks about selling your soul for low wages, powerful forces controlling your life, and a working person's dollar not going very far.  Anthony, has struggled with mental health & coping with alcohol.And now this....He has the fastest selling single of 2023 and i hope he can deal with all this sudden fame.The country phenomenon is global and not just in the USA.And country genre was the one that stood up this year without a doubt.

It seems that this is the time for Depeche Mode to release as many remixes as they should be from their "Memento Mori" album.After all the remixes for the Depeche Mode songs has always been an asset for their fans.For his remix, HI-LO uses the original melody as a base, building a thick wall of techno over the top and alongside Dave Gahan’s signature vocals.I think that the remix of "Speak To Me" is drawing the attention of this week's new releases.
