ZERB ft SOFIYA NZAU - MWAKI (MAJOR LAZER REMIX)

 Have a nice week soundfisters...

Another Major remix comes in addition of what is going to be played all summer long and it's a Lazer one.Zerb's "Mwaki" can't escape it's fate although the charts are still unware of the "tsunami" that is going to hit them. The song so far is being tested on the dancefloors and more remixes by big names are going to show up anytime soon.Although the major charts doesn't always show how big a song has become some things are inevitable after all...

ZERB ft SOFIYA NZAU - MWAKI (TIESTO'S EXTENDED VIP MIX)

This is going to be one of the biggest hits in 2024 and summer will have "Mwaki" written on every sand cock on every beach across the globe.Who would have known that finally a perfect dance anthem will get what it deserves.Cause there are plenty of great songs out there that don't get any attention. And since Tiesto decided to give this earworm his personal signature then expect Zerb's anthem to be everywhere this summer."Mwaki" which literally translates to "Fire" in Kikuyu is just that. An impossibly infectious dance track that has exploded in popularity since its release in early November. The song has achieved remarkable success, becoming the first Kenyan song to surpass 8 million streams on Spotify and achieving viral status on TikTok. But its not just a trend that drove its success, its the unique way that Sofiya’s vocals and Zerb’s production have come together to create something that’s never been heard before. The fusion of Sofiya’s powerful yet soft vocals and Zerb’s Brazilian influences inform a sound that breaks new ground and explores the endless possibilities of music’s exciting global connections.

ZERB ft SOFIYA NZAU - MWAKI

 Have a nice week soundfisters...

It's happening all over again and very soon all seasonal Christmas songs will dominate everything in music. But this blog will always search for new music in order to break (just a little) the surrounding atmosphere.Hailing from Sao Paulo, Brazil, Zerb is well known for always pushing the boundaries of electronic music. He is on the rise and expect more from him next year."Mwaki" with Sofiya Nzau on vocals is a song with lyrics primarily in Kikuyu, a Bantu language spoken in Kenya. It encourages individuals to embrace their inner fire, stay true to their roots, and find joy in celebrating their uniqueness.I find the feeling it pours out of this dance anthem very very interesting and waiting to be discovered. And if it does it will dominate the airwaves..
