GOK WAN ft HOUSE GOSPEL CHOIR - DEEPER LOVE

 Gok Wan is a British fashion consultant, author, television presenter, actor, DJ and chef.This year he made a cover for a charity reason which brings it on the top sales this period in the Uk. Gok Wan is joined by the House Gospel Choir on a re-work of the Aretha Franklin classic "A Deeper Love" in memory of his best friend, Allison. Allison sadly died in May following treatment for stage 4 cancer. This single is dedicated not just in memory of Ali, but for every person who has been affected by cancer. I hope it will help others on their own journey and raise lots of money for Macmillan.Is there a deeper love than this one?

SHOUSE ft HOUSE GOSPEL CHOIR - YOUR LOVE (COCO & BREEZY REMIX)

 I never really understood why this banger wasn't all over the place last summer.Is this a thing that Shouse got with time to be appreciated after two or three years as with their first hit?It's like there are too many bangers out there that made "Your Love" a left over.Or maybe that gospel thing of the track made "Your Love" more appropriate for a sunday service.My eyes caught that this track has been given a second chance as many times happened before with many songs and this remix is part of the new promotion.Praise the Lord hallelujah....

SHOUSE ft HOUSE GOSPEL CHOIR - YOUR LOVE (HELSLOOT REMIX)

 Listening to this week's new releases a big question mark about if i m hearing well or if my music taste is mistaken has surfaced not out of the blue.I will review some of the so called hot new releases and i will be harsh and honest.I don't want to do that now cause Shouse's "Your Love" just had a major upgrade with a remix by Dutch based producer Helshoot.I never really understood why this major dance anthem has been so overlooked but if this continues especially after this huge remix then i m sure that some time in the future it will be appreciated as it should be.Helshoot managed to give it an electronic trance disco flavour that matches some of the greatest works from Cerrone or Giorgio Moroder.I felt an immidiate chill in my backbone making it one of the best things i ve heard this year.

 It was the first time in three years that a Shouse release didn't work out as they expected even if David Guetta was on board."Live Without Your Love" sounded less from Shouse's previews releases and that forces them to release a new single the second in one year a thing that they have never done before after their success.Their songs are always about love and this one is a collaboration with the House Gospel Choir the London vocal group that brings faith to the dance floor.Uniting the uplifting force of spirituality with the kinetic energy of dance music their contribution to "Your Love" through their distorted vocals are unique.This like Daft Punk meets house music in a gospel ground.So much better for Shouse this time..

OLIVER HELDENS & NILE RODGERS ft HOUSE GOSPEL CHOIR - I WAS MADE FOR LOVING YOU

 What is it that makes all the 80's songs to revive in different ways and forms into today? Have you ever wondered why is it so difficult to have new timeless songs? If you look back into the 80's you can find a thousand of songs that leaved their mark into music but in the past 2 decades we have only 5-10 songs per year that manage to do so. Back in the 80's we had only few genres but today we have hundreds with a copy paste attitude. Back in the 80's almost every week we had at least 3-4 new songs into the top 10 based on sales or radio plays but now the charts are as solid as a rock with streaming based rules.

The fact that songs like "I Was For Loving You" are so familiar and timeless success is a good start for someone to make a cover or use it as a sample. Back in the days rock groups like Kiss could release a mega dance hit but today is a privilege only among the djs. This song was released back in 1979 from the "Dynasty" Kiss album and it was a classic dance track throughout the 80's and beyond that. Oliver Heldens didn't have the chance to live that period but Nile Rodgers not only did but he was one of those who shaped it. Together they revive this classic that is less the electrifying original but it's a good reason for youngsters to get in touch with another classic.Time for me to touch the original 12 inch vinyl from Kiss and i leave you with this new release...
