How can a song be number one in searching engines and not be at the charts? Can someone explain to me what makes a hit really a hit? For me back in the days some decades ago when a song was in the Top 10 in the Uk or the Usa was a song that almost everybody knew and could sing along. Now we have the phenomenon songs being high in the charts and almost nobody knows them. So who makes the hits? Of course there are songs like "Stay" or "Blinding Lights" that are true hits but not all of them. This is a song by the African artist Ckay that was released last year. It took a long time to be a hit in the sense that is the most searched song right now and a proof that time sometimes can be proved for the best interest of the song."Love Nwantiti" started spreading from africa and slowly through Tik Tok that knows no boundaries in time or genre and some remixes made it what it is today. I guess that we will see it in the charts like "Jerusalema" did some months ago.
