FOUR TET - INTO DUST (STILL FALLING)

 The past haunts music and it will always give inspiration to artists that are making music.A sample of Mazzy Star’s "Into Dust" from 1993 was the driving force for Four Tet to release his brand new single."Into Dust (Still Falling)" showcases Four Tet's ability to transform this melodic sample from the past into a modern club anthem. Hope Sandoval’s voice floats over refreshing percussion and ambient electronic sounds, in a hypnotic yet club dancefloor environment.The release comes on the heels of a celebrated live debut and Grammy nominations in 2025, as well as his highly successful album "Three".One of the best new releases this week if you ask me.

EVERYTHING BUT THE GIRL - NOTHING LEFT TO LOSE (FOUR TET REMIX)

 If a dj remix is what it takes to introduce Everything But The Girl to the young audience then that's ok.Caause let's be honest kids don't know their legacy but they sure do know Four Tet.Djs now will have to playlist this remix and others that may come to spread the unmistakable electronic pop of one of pop's finest.Their first single from their upcoming new album after a big hiatus gets the electronic dance treatment that may bring the wanted interest in EBTG new music.Personally i have their first single in the original version on repeat since it has been released.

ELLIE GOULDING - EASY LOVER (FOUR TET REMIX)

 Although charting is not a criteria if a song worths listening to this is another overlooked single this time by Ellie Goulding. Ten years ago and with the hype Ellie had this would have been already a number one in the Uk but times are changing.I never really understood why ageing in most of the times or keeping a distance in music for a while change things in the industry but it happens. This is not the first time Ellie and Four Tet are collaborating (he remixed her "Burn" single back in 2013 among others) so it's easy to expect a brilliant new version of "Easy Lover".The electronic form Four Tet adds makes it irresistible....

SKRILLEX & FOUR TET ft STARRAH - BUTTERFLIES (EXTENDED MIX)

  Καλή εβδομάδα soundfisters...

TAME IMPALA - IS IT TRUE (FOUR TET REMIX)

 

Για μία ακόμα εβδομάδα Joel Corry και Mnek θα βρίσκονται στην κορυφή του Uk chart με τον Nathan Dawe να είναι ένα σκαλοπάτι πιο κάτω. Μεγαλύτερη νέα είσοδο από τον Drake και μεγάλη πτώση του έξω από το Top 10 την επόμενη ενώ Miley Cyrus και Paul Woolford με Diplo θα είναι πολύ σύντομα Top 10. Το τι φτάνει στα αυτιά του καθενός είναι από την μία επιλογή από την άλλη θέλει και λίγο ψάξιμο αφού για να ακούσεις κάπου το remix από Four Tet στο τελευταίο single των Tame Impala είναι μάλλον δύσκολο. Στο blog μου τραγούδια σαν το "Is It True" αποτελούν τον εξαγνισμό του όποιου ψυχαναγκαστικού copy paste γίνεται επιτυχία για κάποιους ανεξήγητους λόγους..

FOUR TET - BABY

Περίεργη μουσική είναι αυτή που δεν συμβαδίζει με αυτά που ακούμε συνήθως και υπάρχει σε όλα τα είδη. Από την άλλη υπάρχουν και τα copy paste που είναι όλα τα ίδια. Το να περιμένεις το ξεχωριστό είναι μία χρονοβόρος διαδικασία και συμβαίνει όλο και πιο σπάνια τα τελευταία χρόνια. Το τι θα αποφασίσεις να ακούσεις απ όλα αυτά είναι δική σου επιλογή τελικά. Το τι θα παρουσιάσω στο blog δική μου. To "Baby" είναι το νέο single του Four Tet και εμπίπτει μάλλον στα "περίεργα" της χορευτικής μουσικής σκηνής. Αυτό δεν σημαίνει ότι δεν παρουσιάζει ενδιαφέρον...

BICEP - OPAL (FOUR TET REMIX)

Οι Bicep είχαν για μένα την προηγούμενη χρονιά ένα από τα καλύτερα dance anthems που άκουσα με το "Glue" και έχω την αίσθηση πως είναι από τους πιο ενδιαφέροντες στον συγκεκριμένο χώρο αφού πάνε τα πράγματα πολύ μπροστά διαλέγοντας μονοπάτια ξεχωριστά που δεν μοιάζουν με τα ανακυκλώσιμα των superstars που γνωρίζουν όλοι. Στο νέο τους single "Opal" έβαλε το χεράκι του ο Four Tet για να κάνει τα πράγματα ακόμα πιο trippy σε ένα ταξίδι που διαρκεί περίπου 8 λεπτά. Μια ξεχωριστή χορευτική πρόταση που ελπίζω να εκτιμήσετε όσο το δυνατόν περισσότεροι...
