LADY GAGA & DOECHII - RUNAWAY

 Finally a good Friday when it comes to new releases apart from the fact if we have reasons to put them in our playlist or not.An anticipated film like "The Devil Wears Prada 2" always needs a good soundtrack with big names on it and  Lady Gaga with Doechii is a good start.Although "Runaway" is more fit for Doechii's brand the Gaga factor is present and for sure it will cause quite a buzz for a couple of days but apart from that this is a weak production.The powerhouse pop/hip-hop duo will not leave a mark in years to come but fans will be pleased anyway.Gaga really shifted her vocals for this one and at first you barely think it is her singing in the chorus but she is and you can use it if you are up to for a catwalk.

A surprise new release by Doechii and SZA will be the last post for 2025 as we are moving fast to what 2026 brings in music.Are you ready for it?

This is not the first time the girls are collaborating and in this one they are trying to respond to some issues about their color and their female presence in rap music.Talking about issues...The track is the two artists’ first time working together since 2022’s "Persuasive" and Doechii’s biggest release since "Anxiety"."Girl, Get up.," samples the Neptunes' drums from Birdman and Clipse's "What Happened To That Boy?" and although it doesn't sound like a song that will stay for a long time in the spotlight it remains a big collab for music especially in the USA.

THE WEEKND, DOECHII, PLAYBOI CARTI - TIMELESS (REMIX)

 The hottest female rapper right now hops on The Weeknd's and Playboi Carti remix for "Timeless".The track still follows the same sonic structure, with Doechii delivering high-octane heat to kick things off.She makes her presence obvious from the very start and this along with Abel's movie on May 16 will boost things up for the song along with the album.The Lionsgate production is directed by Trey Edward Shultz and stars Abel Tesfaye alongside Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan. The film features original music from The Weeknd and Daniel Lopatin.

 It's only natural for Doechii after winning a Grammy to through out Sleepy Hallow and release a solo version of "Anxiety".The song is trending so much right now that makes her get in the spotlight with this solo version after the last year's release with the upcoming rapper.This newly shared version is entirely Doechii’s, and the sample of Gotye’s 2011 hit "Somebody That I Used To Know" is more obvious, serving as the quirky backdrop for a flow about an inability to relax. In a video, Doechii explained that she dropped "Anxiety" on YouTube years ago and Sleepy Hallow later sampled it, and now she’s giving an official release to that song of hers that never hit streaming.And that's an explanation that was needed...

SLEEPY HALLOW ft DOECHII - ANXIETY

 It is what it is and that's how music works today when left overs that nobody ever noticed suddenly they become a trend and a potential global hit even one year after it's release.Sleepy Hallow is no stranger to the blog (back on 2021 i was chilling his "2055" single) but now his big moment has finally arrived since his last year's duet with Doechii gives him the chance to dominate the charts.Sleepy Hallow doesn’t shy away from illustrating the uglier sides of life in his music.He knows his fans feel empowered by seeing other people go through the same struggles as them.His last year's album "Boy Meets World" includes this "Anxiety" song that everybody will start talking about. Using an interpolation of Gotye's "Somebody That I Used To Know" he fights demons but he keeps losing while he freestyles in full effect.Is this the big surprise of 2025?

 If case you are wondering L stands for large and not legendary as both of them are trying to become ones. The Blackpink singer and breakout rapper teamed up for new song "ExtraL" and the powerful duo are causing a significant wave in music the first days of it's release.Jennie’s upcoming solo album, "Ruby", out March 7 will produce more singles as Doechii's rise to fame after winning Best Rap Album for 2025 is making her one of the hottest names around right now.The question remains-for how long cause shooting stars and bright planets are two different things.

DOECHII - DENIAL IS A RIVER

 After winning the best rap album of the year for "Alligator Bites Never Heal" Doechii becomes only the third woman winning this category and that made her explode the last few days with her latest single "Denial Is A River" and another coming in a few hours.Part of the song's success has to do with the video that links classic Black sitcoms such as "Family Matters".To tell you the truth i can not really connect with the song but many do and i have to point it out that this is a forthcoming hit the next days.

KATY PERRY ft DEOCHII - I'M HIS HE'S MINE

 After receiving the MTV Vanguard award last night Katy Perry tried to renew her connection with younger audiences cause all the new singles really flopped and they didn't really deserve that.And teaming up with Doechii using in a clever way a sample from Crystal Water's "Gypsy Woman" for her brand new single is a nice way for her to return kinda in the charts.It's all about promotion and hype and Katy Perry lost that during the years not to mention that pop music is not what it used to be."I 'M His He's Mine" could really change all that for her...
