 I didn't see that coming and i was deeply surpised hearing one of the most succesful English rock bands in the United States covering this song.Well Def Leppard released a cover of Ben E. King classic "Stand By Me" to support those affected by Los Angeles fires.Def Leppard's version is also featured in the Netflix film "Bank Of Dave 2: The Loan Ranger", which was released on January 10. Los Angeles and its surrounding area has always played a central role in Def Leppard's career, from it being where some of them are based and it being their U.S. hub for rehearsals, to being the city where they played their first-ever American gig.  Rock music and orchestras had always a special bond and a unique combination.In the past we had great examples of this secret combination with Metallica, Scorpions or Aerosmith so now it's time for Def Leppard to take that step.Def Leppard have teamed with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra for the collaborative album "Drastic Symphonies", arriving May 19th.The collection features 15 orchestral re-workings of some of Def Leppard’s most iconic tracks among others."Animal" is one of their trademarks released in 1987 from the "Hysteria" album and the result here is just an experience.I can't imagine how songs like "Love Bites" will sound with Royal Philarmonic Orchestra but i guess i ll have to wait a little bit more...

DEF LEPPARD - KICK

 You can't change some things in the music history no matter what music sounds like today or what's popular. Back in the 80's and before that rock music was the base of music with it's own radio stations playing all day long songs that were huge hits in the charts. One of those huge groups were Def Leppard with songs like "Love Bites", "Pour Some Sugar On Me" and so many more that immortalized them in time. For most youngsters this music sounds alien and i know it's difficult to get in touch with sounds that are far from over. Well this blog has ears in the past and in the future and it means a great deal that Def Leppard are releasing new material in almost 7 years, Their brand new album "Diamond Star Halos" is going to be released in late May and the first single "Kick" it "kicks" like it was supposed to and sounds like it made me a fan..And one more soon they will be touring with Motley Crue, Poison and Joan Jett And The Blackhearts. Είναι πραγματικά κρίμα να μην υπάρχουν παρά ελάχιστες επιτυχίες από rock ονόματα σήμερα. Οι Def Leppard μεγάλωσαν μόνο ηλικιακά γιατί κατά τα άλλα συνεχίζουν. Και η διασκευή τους σε αυτό το classic είναι super...
