 This is the second cover from Dave Gahan in only few months. First it was the cover for "Nothing Else Matters" for the "Black List" by Metallica and now we have the cover of an Elvis Presley classic. As a true "Imposter" the Dave Gahan and The Soulsavers project has this re-edition of "Always On My Mind" as the closing track of the album. DAVE GAHAN & SOULSAVERS - METAL HEART

 I don't know from what part of the world you are reading me but in any weather and in any conditions the voice of Depeche Mode will take you where you wanna be. The project Dave Gahan calls Soulsavers is ready to unleash another part of his musical legacy. The album will be called "Imposter" and the first song is "Metal Heart" a kind of pre-single just for the taste. No chart hit here just a musical journey to "save your souls" as the name projects. The album will be out at 12 of November and we will be waiting for that journey...

DAVE GAHAN - NOTHING ELSE MATTERS

 I just have my hands on the "Blacklist" Metallica album and one of the reasons i was expecting this was this cover by the lead singer of the Depeche Mode. Dave Gahan provides a total stripped version of "Nothing Else Matters" and the chills are up on the ceiling. Ok it may not be exactly how i was expecting it but this emptiness suits for lonely hours and cold weather. After all the inner state of this song leads to that way..

GOLDFRAPP ft DAVE GAHAN - OCEAN

Το τελευταίο album των Goldfrapp θα κυκλοφορήσει σε μια deluxe έκδοση μέσα στην οποία θα υπάρχει και το album cut "Ocean" ηχογραφημένο ξανά με την προσθήκη στα φωνητικά του Dave Gahan των Depeche Mode. Now how cool is that. Και επειδή αυτό εδώ είναι πιο Depeche Mode από το τελευταίο album των Depeche Mode φαντάζομαι πως όλοι οι fans της ηλεκτρονικής μουσικής θα το λατρέψουν από το πρώτο κιόλας άκουσμα ακριβώς όπως συνέβη και σε μένα. Δεν ξέρω τι ακριβώς έχει η φωνή του Gahan όταν τραγουδάει τέτοια dark ηλεκτρονικά anthems πάντως την ανατριχίλα να την θεωρείς δεδομένη...

NULL + VOID ft DAVE GAHAN - WHERE I WAIT

Γιατί θα πρέπει τραγούδια άλλων να θυμίζουν πιο πολύ Depeche Mode από τους ίδιους τους DM και μάλιστα να τραγουδάει και η φωνή των Depeche Mode. Ο επί χρόνια συνεργάτης των Depeche Mode και προσωπικός φίλος απ ότι διαβάζω του Dave Gahan, Kurt Uenala, έχει φτιάξει το project Null +Void με το "Where I Wait" να είναι το αποτέλεσμα που νομίζω θα ενθουσιάσει όλους τους φίλους των Depeche Mode. Σκοτεινή electronica από αυτές που ενθουσιάζουν το Ελληνικό κοινό και ας προέρχεται από σπόντα μέσω των master του είδους που αγαπάμε...
