The people from Greece have spoken and this year's Greek Eurovision entry is "Asteromata" by Klavdia.The song has a beautiful traditional melody with modern elements that explodes with Klavdia's voice which is something else.The 22-year-old singer , who we first met on "The Voice," Greece says she's ready to thrill the whole of Europe with her performance."Asteromata", with music and lyrics by Arcade, is an ethnic song that talks about refugeehood and uprooting.The song title used in Izmir to describe women with bright and striking eyes.The word tzivaeri in the lyrics comes from the Turkish cevahir, which means precious stone, precious gem. Metaphorically when we say to someone "my cevahir", we mean "my treasure". The message of the song is particularly resonant, as it speaks of the loss of homeland and the search for a better life. Klavdia drew her inspiration from the history of Pontic Hellenism, highlighting the genocide and uprooting of the Pontians.Hopefully the song will give chills when the song contest comes in May and why not even win the big prize.
