 Skylar Grey has linked her life somehow with Eminem. And if you want a beautiful voice in a verse then get Skylar Grey. Other than that Skylar no matter how hard she tried she never got a big personal hit. This time Skylar is the leading name in the first single from the new "Venom" ost with a bunch of rappers including Eminem in it. "Last One Standing" follows a typical stracture of a rap song with a pop verse with Polo G, Mozzy and Eminem having their own verse. Ok i can hear it...

Η διασκευή αυτή στο classic των Soul Asylum από τα 90's είναι φιλανθρωπικού χαρακτήρα αφού τα έσοδα πάνε σε μία οργάνωση που ψάχνει εξαφανισμένα παιδιά. Εντελώς διαφορετική από το original αφού μουσικά μόνο τα φωνητικά το θυμίζουν και φέρνει κοντά 3 καλλιτέχνες με διαφορετικές προελεύσεις ο καθένας. Ωστόσο ενδιαφέρουσα...

SKYLAR GREY - STAND BY ME

To ότι η Skylar Grey έχει υπέροχη φωνή δεν μπορεί να της το αμφισβητήσει κανείς. Άλλωστε οι τόσες συνεργασίες με τον Eminem αλλά και άλλους καλλιτέχνες δεν μπορεί να είναι τυχαίες. Για κάποιο λόγο όμως η προσωπική της καριέρα ουδέποτε απογειώθηκε και την αντιμετωπίζουν κυρίως σαν μια back singer που γεμίζει ευχάριστα τα female vocals σε διάφορα τραγούδια. Το να κάνεις διασκευή στο κλασικό "Stand By Me" του Ben E King είναι το μόνο εύκολο σαν απόφαση αλλά και πολύ επικίνδυνο αφού έχει διασκευαστεί άπειρες φορές και σχεδόν καμία δεν είχε τύχη. Αυτή εδώ είναι μια αρκετά γλυκανάλατη εκτέλεση με την οποία μπορείς να πίνεις ευχάριστα το τσάι σου σε ένα tea room χωρίς να σε ενοχλεί. Αυτά μέχρι εκεί...
