GHOST - IT'S A SIN

 Covers continue in 2026 and they will since especially the 80s still have huge impact."It's a Sin" is a cover of the song by Pet Shop Boys that was included on the Deluxe Edition of the album "Prequelle" by the Swedish band Ghost. Being a bonus track, it was not originally available on any streaming and was limited availability of the song physically.Now every Ghost fan can grab their hands on this metal cover of an iconic 80s song and although i m not really impressed cause they have made better covers in the past this is an interesting new release this week.Ghost previously released a covers EP called :Phantomime" in 2023 including renditions of songs by Iron Maiden, Genesis and Tina Turner, among others.

GHOST - LACHRYMA

I ve spotted for quite sometime now that rock music is on the rise and it's the first time after a very very long time that a rock song is inside the Uk top 10 since Sleep Token's "Caramel" made a huge impact in every way.We will see more of them in the future especially from metal and rock bands.And Swedish Ghost are another perfect example of what it's happening in music right now. Shortly after Ghost shared the song "Satanized," as well as the details for their upcoming new album "Skeleta", "Lachryma" (means tear in Latin) is the second taste a bonafide modern day rock anthem about weeping.The band’s new "Papa", Papa V Perpetua , makes his debut in the best possible way so forget Ghost's pop side and enter into a more doom-heavy beat, before exploding into an almost celebratory sing-along chorus – classic Ghost formula, but heavier, more charged.

GHOST ft PATRICK WILSON - STAY

 You like horror movies?Then you are probably "Insidious" fans also.Swedish rock and metal band Ghost and actor Patrick Wilson have teamed up to cover Shakespears Sister‘s ‘Stay’ as part of the Insidious: The Red Door soundtrack.The 1992 goth-pop classic is one of my favourite songs from that era and this duet with the "Insidious" actor Patrick Wilson and the Swedish band came out of the blue.Now who can say no to such a cover...

GHOST - WE DON'T NEED ANOTHER HERO

 Few weeks ago i talked about the release of the covers Ep "Phantomine" by Ghost by reviewing the cover on the Genesis song "Jesus He Knows Me".Well that Ep is out and Papa and the Ghouls unleashed their cover on the Ghost-ian reinvention of Tina Turner's 1985 New Wave smash "We Don't Need Another Hero (Thunderdome)."Recorded by Turner for the soundtrack of Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, which she starred in this is another history lesson for youngsters and a nice way for us older to remember once more a classic.Surprisingly natural choice of covering this song.

GHOST - JESUS HE KNOWS ME

 Hallelujah! Ghost are celebrating Easter Sunday with the surprise release of a provocative, unholy and decidedly NSFW video for a cover of Genesis "Jesus He Knows Me". This is the first teaser from the forthcoming EP "Phantomime" and it has a satire video of money-grabbing TV evangelists, which originally featured on Genesis' 1991 album "We Can't Dance".The "Phantomine" Ep will be full of covers  from Iron Maiden, Tina Turner, Television, and The Stranglers.Wow!!!Due to the recent events with Dalai Lama and other religious officials this song is more relevent than ever.And we need rock music more than ever so spread it...
