Without a doubt the Ariana Grande return with her brand new single is the major release this week."Hate That I Made You Love Me" is the lead single from her upcoming "Petal" album and in case you google her name a bunch of petals will fill your screen. The song was co-written and produced by Grande, Ilya, and Max Martin (wow), and arrives alongside a comic-book-inspired lyric video.Grande takes a darker and more emotionally complicated turn on "Hate That I Made You Love Me" and honestly, it really works. While the track is definitely rooted in pop, there is something haunting underneath it that gives it a sharper edge than people might expect. She sounds raw, almost ghostly at times, floating over the production in a way that feels chilling and intimate at the same time. It's nice when artists are going through different styles that makes the fans or not feel they are not repeated.
